The guide was at the meeting point early, and has organized the group very well. We walked a good pace, enjoyed all the commentary and Michael's humorous demeanor. Learned a lot about Poland history and Warsaw's sights in the old town. Got a list of tips and recommendations which was very helpful.

Andrew was our route guide. He was an excellent story teller who have us such a good understanding of the history of Warsaw and further recommendations for museums and restaurants to visit. Worth every minute and it did not feel like two and a half hours. He gave spa for toilets and coffee during the tour making it suitable for my elderly mum.

Best way to see Old Town

    Trey_R, Apr 2026
Great way to learn a lot of Polish history while seeing beautiful architecture and monuments. Andre did a great job of conveying 1000 years of Warsaw’s tragic and fascinating history but in a fun and entertaining way. He has a very unique and dry sense of humor that we appreciated. Lots of walking but frequent stops for stories.

    Old Towne tour

    Jeannette_N, Apr 2026
Oliwia was extremely knowledgeable and knew a lot about Old Town and the area. She made learning the history fun. Loved the photos and stories she shared along the way. Would highly recommend.

Well researched and related walking tour of Warsaw

    Susan_H, Apr 2026
“Jack” was a wonderful tour guide who is a history, geotracking buff with a sense of humor. He made great efforts to reference the people on the tour and their countries to create a 2 and 1/2 hour walking community. Well done Jack. I learned and saw so much Dziękuję PS. Dress warm

Go for the history, but bundle up.

    RoseE_P, Apr 2026
Warsaw’s Old Town is undeniably rich with history, and a walking tour is one of the best ways to take it all in, but come prepared, because the weather can make or break your experience. We visited in early part of April, and the cold was no joke. What saved the tour entirely was our guide. He was warm, engaging, and genuinely entertaining, the kind of storyteller who brings centuries of history to life effortlessly. He even went out of his way to help us find moments of warmth during the walk, which was a small but really appreciated touch. You could tell he genuinely cared about our comfort and enjoyment, not just getting through the route. The history here is absolutely incredible layers of stories around every corner, and I left feeling like I actually learned something rather than just walked past old buildings. That said, I’d hesitate to recommend this tour without a strong caveat: dress for the weather. Thermals, a heavy coat, warm gloves, don’t underestimate it. If you’re underprepared, no amount of fascinating storytelling will fully compensate. Bottom line: a solid tour elevated by an exceptional guide. Go for the history, bundle up, and you’ll have a great time. 🧥🏰

Tour was informative but I didn’t care for her constant negativity about krakow. She knew a lot of information and her English was fabulous!

    Jessica_G, Apr 2026
This was a wonderful tour! Our guide, Andrew, was very knowledgeable and discussed the intense history of Warsaw with respect, gravitas, and also humor. We spent time touring outside as well as inside many significant buildings. Highly recommend!

    Outstanding experience.

Viator Scam - This is a free tour

    Sandra_R, Mar 2026
This is a scam by Viator. The walking tour is free. Book directly via Walkative for free. The tour itself is good and the guide was knowledgeable.

    Great tour

    Mike_A, Mar 2026
The tour was very informative, interesting and fun, covered all areas and sold the city to me , excellent

Misleading - this was a free tour

    Michelle_M, Mar 2026
Our tour guide was great! Loved the actual tour. But, it was actually a free tour. I wish this was told before booking through Viator. Book direct with a free walking tour and tip the guide what you would pay here, I hope he got most of the $25 each that we paid, as he was worth it. It was awkward at the end when he said tips are accepted for this “free walking tour”. Lesson learned- always look for free walking tours in big cities and skip Viator or other middle men when you can!

    Great Tour of Warsaw

    Kenny_C, Jan 2026
Aga, the tour guide, was amazing and showed tremendous knowledge of the city of Warsaw. She was very friendly and had a good sense of humour which made the tour much more enjoyable for me. The history of Warsaw was presented to us effectively during the tour, and the guide gave the group a great insight into the town. Aga took good care of our group and always has time for questions.

Entertaining tour of Warsaw’s main road leading to the Old Town with stops in front of some historical buildings.

A comprehensive retrospective: an integrated analytical and personal perspective

    ClaudiuDaniel_T, Dec 2025
An excellent and well-structured introduction to Warsaw and Poland’s history. In just two hours, the guide managed to clearly explain the city’s complex past, from its destruction during World War II to its remarkable reconstruction and modern identity. The explanations were engaging, easy to follow, and enriched with historical context and personal insights, which made the tour both informative and enjoyable. The guide was knowledgeable, passionate, and very attentive to questions. Highly recommended for anyone looking to quickly understand Warsaw’s history and the broader Polish background through a clear, well-delivered narrative.

Very informative. Although my hearing is not the best, the guide spoke in a tone that I was able to hear everything. This made this an enjoyable tour for me

Terrific tour of Old Town Warsaw with Jack

    John_T, Nov 2025
Our guide (Jack in English) was not only very knowledgeable but he was also obviously well travelled himself and as a bonus, he was very amusing.

Very knowledgeable and funny local guide with excellent English!

    Ruth_C, Nov 2025
Very knowledgeable guide! Very funny too. If going in Winter make sure you have thermals and warm clothing, hats and gloves. Paid for this online when I booked but didn't hesitate to pay a good tip for the excellent few hours!

Do this tour and ask for Andres! He was so knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining! It’s clear Andres knows his stuff - he didn’t simply rehearse a script. I learned so much about Warsaw Old Town and Poland’s history.

    Jeffrey_S, Oct 2025
Ania was informative, charming, and funny. She really knows her Polish and Warsaw history. There was not as much walking as other tours, which I personally liked.

    Excellent tour

    fabwash, Oct 2025
This was an excellent and highly recommended tour. Our guide Jack (Jacek?) was exceptionally knowledgeable and blended facts with a wonderful sense of humor. The ability to make us laugh while delivering so much valuable information about Warsaw and Poland made this a truly memorable experience.

Book the round and fluffy guide!

    Sabrina_M, Oct 2025
The travel guide was hilarious! Even though he was explaining serious historical events that occurred in the past. He found a way to tell a story which made it relatable and not so tragic.

Hilarious, Informative, and Perfectly Planned Warsaw Old Town Tour

    ivan_z, Sep 2025
I recently took the Warsaw Old Town tour on Viator and it exceeded all expectations. Our guide was incredibly funny and engaging, blending humor with a wealth of information that kept us entertained while we learned about Poland’s rich culture. She kept the group well informed, paced the tour perfectly, and included a lot of useful details that really enhanced our understanding of the area. The tour felt flawlessly planned, with a great balance of history, culture, and practical tips. I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Warsaw—it's a fantastic way to see the Old Town and genuinely enjoy the experience.

Experience was great, the tour guide was very good, we had a lot of fun. And then the tour guide wanted to make sure he stayed to answer any questions

Knowledgeable, friendly but hard to follow

    MB_P, Sep 2025
The guide has a very strong accent which is hard to understand. He was very friendly and engaging. His mike did not carry his voice well. He is knowledgeable but hard to follow.

    Interesting worthwhile Old Town tour.
