My husband and I absolutely loved this cooking class! Nabiel was hilarious, helpful, and nice. The other people who took the class with us were a great addition. The schnitzel we made was amazing, and the wine was great!! We ended up making a different dessert, but it was delicious! We would do another cooking class with him in a heartbeat!

I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Nabiel’s ability to include guests from different backgrounds and levels of English is impressive. The cooking class itself was fun and educational and we enjoyed eating fantastic wien schnitzels and authentic apple strudel, with plenty of drinks along the way. Highly recommended!

We had an incredible time at Nabiel’s cooking school last night 👨‍🍳✨ Over the course of three delicious hours, we learned how to prepare traditional Viennese schnitzel 🥩 and a homemade apple strudel 🍎🥧. The focus on technique made all the difference—every texture, crunch, and flavor came together perfectly 😋. Chef Nabiel kept us fully engaged and laughing the entire time 😂. He’s not only an excellent instructor but also genuinely funny, which made the experience even more enjoyable. He guided us with confidence, reassured us with our techniques, and made sure we felt ready to create the perfect Viennese dinner and dessert 🎉. His passion for teaching and his warm, welcoming personality shone through in every moment. The champagne toast 🥂 was the perfect finishing touch to a memorable evening. This is a 11 out of 10! Nabiel was fantastic! He has a great personality and from the time he opened the door until we left made us all feel welcome and involved. We took the U1 from our hotel and it was a short walk from the Karlsplatz station. We arrived almost 30 minutes early and he opened up for us. The place was easy enough to find. I can't say enough about the way he interacted with all of the guests. The kitchen, cooking utensils, dining room and restrooms were spotless. He probably had the cleanest exhaust hood that I have ever seen. It was obvious that he takes great pride in the cleanliness of his establishment. We loved that he started the class by making all of the guests wash their hands. Ice cold beer, soft drinks, of "bubbly" followed. Nabiel, learned the name of every guest and referred to them by name the entire night. The class itself was fun. The kitchen work groups were small enough that everyone was involved. I liked that he had the apples pre-cut and the ingredients premeasured. Everyone enjoyed hammering the veal and dunking it. Naibel handled the frying so, you don't have to worry about spatter. His potato salad was fantastic. Everything in the class was explained and fun. Everyone participated and the jokes flowed. The food was hot when served and there was enough that you left full. Don't bawk at the cost. You have to pay to eat dinner someplace while on vacation and Nabiel lets you have a great time doing it. This is definitely something I would recommend and do again, it was worth every penny.

If you like to bake or cook or eat or just want to have a great time, Nabiel's Vienna Cooking Class is for you! Nabiel will keep you laughing while actually teaching you how to make a delicious apple strudel. Then he will show you step by step how to make schnitzel and then, you get to actually make your own. Drinks flow, a group of strangers become friends, laughter is heard and to top it off, you get the best meal and dessert to enjoy at the end. We didn't make the parsley potatoes that accompanied our schnitzel but they were the cherry on top! My husband still talks about how good they were. We both had a great time and we are excited about trying to make both strudel and schnitzel together in our own kitchen. Thank you Nabiel for welcoming strangers into your restaurant, sharing your secrets and making us all feel completely at home. What a great experience!

Nabiel welcomed us to his restaurant with open arms. He was very entertaining and enjoyed telling stories of his cooking life. We, our group of six, and and another couple made “crispy as hell” schnitzel and apple strudel…and yes, we made the dough for the strudel. There was plenty of wine, laughter, conversation, and, of course, great food! Things were so great, we are going to Nabiel’s restaurant this evening to try his macaroni and cheese.

It was more of a watch the chef prepare the meal then a hands on class where you actually make the dishes. Just about everything was precut or premade. The potato salad was made before the class even started. We just watched the chef prepare the strudel. We did get to bread the meat for the schnitzel but he cooked it. Said that he would send us the recipes at least so we would be able to create the dishes at a later time but never did although we asked for them multiple times.

Awesome! He’s very entertaining, personable and knowledgeable! I felt like I found a friend immediately and throughly enjoyed the cooking time. Participants all took part doing as well as filming the instructional experience. It was fun and a wonderful evening event to complete the day. The veal schnitzel, grandmother potato’s and kaiserschmarnn was super and wine fun too. This is well worth spending your travel time and funds to experience! Lots of great information and recommendations in a lovely, intimate venue.

Nabiel is fabulous! He is a wonderful chef, teacher and food historian. Not only did we learn how to cook the dishes we learned the history of food in Vienna. Book his experience early in your trip to allow yourself the time to visit all the places he recommends after your class!

What a fun and educational cooking class.; not to mention the awesome food. Nabiel is a gracious host with a keen sense of humour - what a great way to spend an evening. I learned a little history and a lot about Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn - I know I'll be able to replicate these tasty dishes at home. I'd recommend this class to anyone!

This was an experience I've booked for my wife - but I ended up getting an opportunity to try the dishes as well! My wife says that chef was both entertaining and informative, and he made the evening thoroughly enjoyable even though she didn't know either of the two individuals she was in class with. At some point night during the class I got a text from my wife saying that chef invited me to join them in tasting food and I can testify personally as to the incredible quality of what my wife and her fellow students put together for the direction of the shift. My wife highly recommends this experience.

While we enjoyed the class and the food..I did feel a bit left out when Nabiel picked one person to make the Strudel.. while we were still eating our schnitzel. I really would have liked to learn how to make that!!

This was so much more than a cooking class. It was terrific food and plenty to drink mixed with lots of laughter and fun people. Nabiel is not only a master chef but he is a true host in the warmest, most welcoming way. If you are afraid to cook, you should go. If you’re an experienced chef, you should still go because you will get so much from this experience. The cost does not even begin to match how much we got from this evening. We can’t wait to cook with Nabiel again. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing cooking class with Chef Nabiel! It was a small group experience and we had options for what to make for dessert. It was a collective effort, so each of us assisted with a small portion of the meal. Very delicious!

An Amazingly Fun and Tasty Cooking Class (Party)

This was my favorite activity in Vienna. I was with our chef and teacher, Nabiel and two couples. It was fun from the outset. Nabiel made this a great party experience while we all worked on making the best schnitzel (we made both veal and chicken schnitzel) I've ever tasted. It was very participatory and we all made videos and took pictures so we could recreate our feast at home. I had schnitzel in nice restaurants the evening before our cooking class and as well as the evening after. Neither was nearly as good and, importantly, I knew what they had done wrong at the second restaurant. We also made excellent Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. Nabiel may have poured wine from time to time during the evening.

Nabiel is so much fun and great conversationalist! These are his grandmothers recipes and he teaches you just like I imagine she taught him! Delicious schnitzel, very crispy! Definitely recommend!
