Our guide, Katarina was the best!!! She gave us so much information and history about the area. We had a real traditional Slovakian lunch. This was the highlight of our trip to Vienna! Highly recommend it.

Our guide Erik was the perfect host for our private tour of Bratislava. As a local, he shared the history and his insight into the major tourist attractions. He adjusted the tour to our interests as well as the weather (it was freezing cold, windy and raining). Definitely recommend.

Every day of learning and cultural experiences with our very competent guide Catarina. She arrived on time, she had snacks and drinks in the car and she was a great driver. We spent the day learning history and culture of the area and she was an incredible wealth of knowledge. She had a great sense of humour and we loved spending our time with her. Highly, highly recommend. We were able to see the influences of Russian occupation along with western influences, architecture, and art.

Wow, what an amazing day in Bratislava! The city is interesting historically from the old city to the more modern buildings in the brutalist style reminding you of the more recent Soviet Union. Additionally Bratislava was at the edge of the Iron Curtain so only do they have memories of that terrible time, but you can actually see remnants of the curtain’s metal fence and concrete pillars. The beautiful landscape and lovely people are a fascinating juxtaposition.
The tour guide and driver truly made the experience though. Lubka, tour guide, and Tomsto (totally butchered his name), driver, were with me the whole day were not stop fountains of information on the history, but also modern life as they are both native to Bratislava. In addition to the planned stops we were also able to take some detours, for example the cycling bridge between Austria and Slovakia, the Soviet Monument, and the still working radio tour/building that is the quintessential brutalist building and a fascinating architectural feat (it’s an upside down pyramid). This tour with this company is wonderful, book it immediately! The owner, staff, and even the ‘fill staff’ are excellent! Thank you!!

What can I say? Gabriela truly made us feel like family. Bratislava is absolutely stunning and well worth a trip, but it is Gabi herself who made the difference. She was the best guide we’ve ever had!

This really was a “personal” tour with a very knowledgeable guide who was able to talk about old and recent history. The town is not on the normal tour path for touring around Vienna, but it was well worth it. There is a lot more to Bratislava than meets the eye.

Our guide Slavka was wonderful! We had a great visit to Bratislava. It was truly the perfect day trip from Vienna for an easier trip and more relaxed day than some of the farther places like the lakes region or Budapest. Someone local had told us it would be just as good to get to Bratislava by train and walk around on our own. I’m SO glad we didn’t listen and did the tour. It would have been completely different on our own. Much better with Slavka!

Gabriela was a friendly, kind, attentive, informative, knowledgeable guide who tailored things to our interests. She shared personal experiences and area history and food. We wanted to enjoy the Christmas Markets last so she shuffled the order to make sure that could happen. She did not rush us through anything we did which made for a casual pace and easy enjoyment. She encouraged us to try new things - Kofola and honey wine - and helped us remember some Slovak words with after the tour communications.

Katarina was a delight, she shared her wealth of knowledge of the history, facts and beauty of Bratislava. She managed to work in at least 10 stops/visits if done of the most interesting and important places. We never felt rushed, she took us to a local restaurant for lunch, to a local artisan shop where we could buy a unique souvenir. We could not recommend her any more. Such a great tour guide.

Lubka was a great guide. Lots of information about the history of Slovakia, Bratislava, and the culture. Martin the driver also provided lots of local information. Nice tour with lunch included. I recommend it. Lubka steered us around the many large group tours in the city making it more enjoyable.

Gabi is super knowledgeable, we enjoyed the tour, especially the Christmas markets. She was attentive and on time. The van was very nice. Definitely worth a visit to Slovakia!

Spending the day exploring Bratislava was excellent; truly like spending time with an old friend. Katarina was warm, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. The day never felt rushed, and she still got us back to Vienna exactly on time for our dinner reservation. We’d recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. I booked this trip back in May, so please pardon my overdue review! I had a wonderful time with Gabi — she planned an efficient route that covered all the places we wanted to see, and took us to a historic restaurant, which was very memorable. She shared lots of fascinating insights about Slovakia and nearby countries like the Czech Republic, including their beautiful castles. Gabi was a fabulous guide!! Spoke English very well. Was very friendly! Very knowledgeable about Slovakia and Bratislava history and current events. Took us to a wonderful restaurant for authentic Slovak cuisine. Taylor’s the tour to our interest. Highly recommend her!!

Erika was an absolutely wonderful guide!!! Very knowledgeable and an excellent conversationalist!!! Bratislava itself is mixed bag, but Erika made experience worth it. What is interesting about Bratislava is the mixture of old, remnants of the communist rule, and newer construction all in an eclectic mix. Erika provided excellent context for us to glue it all together in our minds. We had great conversations on the mindsets of past and present Slovakians. Loved the dialogue!!! Gabriella was super fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. Great history and sights. We also went to Devin castle. The lunch spot in town was awesome as well. She was very accommodating and welcoming. We will hopefully see her again.

My husband and I had an amazing day trip from Vienna to Bratislava with Gabriela. Born and raised in Bratislava, she brought a wealth of knowledge not only from her own life but also shared stories from her parents and grandparents. So much history we only had a surface understanding of at the beginning of the day and felt so enriched from the whole day with her. We did the add-on to Devin Castle overlooking the Danube too and highly recommend this to others. Just to name a few highlights - the City Center/Old Town, Bratislava Castle, Blue Church, and Slavín (memorial monument and military cemetery), along with all the sights in these areas. Lunch at Bratislava Flagship Restaurant was authentic and delicious. She customized it to suit our interests, too! Such a fun day with a lovely lady. Gabi also does multi-day tours of Slovakia and if we ever go back, we will definitely book another tour with her!

Our guide, Gabriela, was incredibly knowledgeable of Slovakian history as well as current issues impacting the country. We visited the historic sites while on a very relaxed walk. The restaurant we visited for our lunch was fantastic. The atmosphere was so charming and the food was delicious. Many choices, different from Vienna. Her suggestions were right on the mark. She was an absolutely lovely person to spend the day with.

We had a fantastic private excursion from Vienna to Bratislava! Our wonderful guide, Erika, picked us up right from our hotel in Vienna in the morning, which made everything so convenient and stress-free. On the way and throughout the day, she shared so much knowledge and made the entire trip engaging and enjoyable.
What we really appreciated was how Erika customized the excursion program to our interests — it felt personal and perfectly tailored. The tour of Bratislava was both informative and fascinating, and we got to experience the city in a way we never could have on our own.

By far one of the best tours and nicest tour operators I have ever toured with. Gabriela was wonderful - for starters, she let us reschedule when I wasn't feeling well on the original date.
She clearly has a passion for her hometown, as it showed in her enthusiasm for everything she showed us! She picked us right up at our AirBnB in Vienna and dropped us when we were done. She tailored the tour to our needs, including helping my boys find souvenirs to take back to their girlfriends! And Bratislava is beautiful.

This tour was fantastic! Erika, our tour guide, was the best. She provided us with the history, details and even legends regarding the sites we visited. She was more than willing to customize the tour for us. We visited Devin Castle which is outside of Bratislava and has amazing views as well. This was probably my favorite stop; however, the entire day was perfect. Great tour and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit or learn more about Bratislava.

We had an excellent day out with Lubka! My grandparents immigrated from Bratislava so I was particularly interested in the history of Slovakia. She picked us up in Vienna and spent the day with us in Bratislava - explaining all the historical sites and evolution of her city. Her English was easy to understand and she answered all our questions with knowledge and grace. We especially enjoyed walking through the old town and having a traditional Slovak lunch in a beautiful old restaurant. I’m not able to walk as much as I would have liked but she tailored the tour to meet all my needs. Lubka was lovely and we truly enjoyed our day out - we could not have see all we did by ourselves and we learned a great deal. Like a day out with a friend! Highly recommended.
