Scott took great care of us. The trip out he explained the geography around us along with interesting bits of Canadian history. The wineries were OK but with our preference for red wines we cruised thru the tastings. Our parent couple happened to be great. All in all it was a lovely day. Cannot emphasize enough that Scott is super competent and very caring. Give him a big raise!!!

We had a great day on this tour to the Cowichan Valley. Scott, our guide, was friendly and easygoing, and the van rides between wineries were comfortable. The timing at each stop was well organized — since we were quicker at some tastings, we ended up with more time at others, which worked out nicely. The charcuterie was a nice touch, and the wineries themselves were beautiful. Just know that tastings in Canada are fairly small pours (about 1.5–2 oz), so if you want more, plan to buy a glass or bottle. The charcuterie was tasty, but I wouldn't consider it a replacement for a full meal, so it helps to have a meal before or after the tour. Overall, a really nice experience and I’m glad we went. I’d recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a relaxing way to explore the valley without worrying about driving.

A Good experience

The tour meet in front of the Empress Hotel not across the street. This was very confusing. It did get sorted but wasn’t a good start.

Great Wine Tour

Patty_C, Oct 2025
We enjoyed the wine tour very much! Scott was a wonderful guide and we loved how knowledgeable he was and knew so much history about Victoria, Canada in general and the wineries. We loved the wineries that we visited. The charcuterie board at Blue Grouse was exceptional and the views magnificent! The owner at Cherry Point guided the tasting and was very knowledgeable and shared some interesting information. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather. Scott was also a very careful driver which we appreciated!

Linda and Woody’s great tour.

Relaxing and Well-Organized Wine Experience

Amazing tour!

Jana_W, Aug 2025
Scott was an amazing tour guide, he gave us a complementary tour of Victoria. We visited 3 wineries and all were amazing - cherry point, Unsworth, and blue grouse

Warning - Not small group

Samantha_M, Aug 2025
When we booked, the description stated that this was a small group tour with a max of 15 people, but there were 25 people not including the tour guide, which was disappointing since I wouldn't have selected this excursion if I knew that would be the case. We had bad luck and our bus broke down on the mountain (unclear if almost double the group size crammed on the bus played a role), resulting in an hour and a half long delay before a new bus was provided. The wine pours at especially the second winery were so small that many of us joked about there only being 2 sips worth of wine per pour. The other passengers were lovely though.

Easy and enjoyable

Montgomery_T, Jun 2025
Fun visit of wonderful vineyards in Victoria. Timeline was held within a casual atmosphere. Fun and relaxing and informative.

Scott was an amazing tour guide. The van was full with 8 people and he managed to talk to each. The wine wasn't the best

Antoinette_S, May 2025
The experience was great, the wine not so much except the first. The owner was very proud of his winery 🍷

Great Day Of Wine Tasting

Dianna_K, May 2025
Kim was fantastic. Very genuine and informative She also had a great playlist of music while we drove out to the wine region. We really enjoyed 2 out of 3 of the wineries. Our first stop at Cherry Point was very disappointing. We have done many wine tastings over the years and he poured such small tastings that we couldn’t get a taste or sense of the wine. Then we ordered a glass and paid $15 for 4 oz if you were lucky. A rip off, quite frankly. The following 2 vineyards were fantastic. Great views, great staff and a wonderful Charcuterie board at the second stop. Third stop, again great views, wine tasting and we even got to keep our wine glasses. All in all an almost perfect day for wine tasting!

Great time!

Great wine tour. Perfect amount of time and wine! The tour guide is was excellent and we learned a lot at each winery. Great choices.

Don’t Miss this Tour

Doris_H, Oct 2024
This was a lovely tour of Victoria Island’s Cowichan region, including 3 wineries. Kim, our tour leader, was very nice, drove prudently and was very attentive with our group. The wineries were gorgeous and the wine tastings were deliciously paired with charcuterie at winery where we had our lunch. And it was a gorgeous day too!

Nice tour, with one great visit and 2 not very exciting

Per_M, Oct 2024
Colin was an excellent guide on the tour, we visited 3 winemakers, the abosolut best visit was at Cherry Point, Xavier is a very passionate winemaker, and makes a lot of great wines. We will visit him again and buy more Wine 😀🍷 Blue Grouse and Unsworth is much more business and the wines are not the same level compared to Cherry Point

Beautiful day, great wine, great tour

Venessa_C, Oct 2024
They were all beautiful and the wines were good. My only suggestion would be to have instructions on ways to ship wine back if want to buy some .

Well, worth the time and money

gordon_v, Sep 2024
The three wineries we visited we’re all different and had some interesting stories. Also the view the pictures and the background on the wineries was very helpful. Also appreciated the frequent stops. Thanks Kim for a good job and leading the tour Gordon.

Good tour 1st winery was not good Other two were excellent. Driver was bery good and made sure we were having a good time

Nice day trip

Michael_L, Sep 2024
The tour was good. Colin was great guide upbeat and informative. We went to 3 wineries we did prefer the 2nd one over all but each had its own character going for it. The accommodated one of our party being gluten free easily just had to ask.

A worthy wine tour!

Danielle_M, Sep 2024
We had an amazing time on our wine tour. Our tour guide, Kim, was amazing and very tolerant of our bus-wide singalongs. The first stop on the tour was Cherry Point Estate Wines. Cherry Point had my favorite wines. Their Ortega is not to be skipped. The next stop was Enrico Winery. The land at Enrico is so beautiful and picturesque. Plus they offered sangria and frozen wine drinks, in addition to the wine tasting. Our last stop was Unsworth Vineyards. The grounds at Unsworth was very beautiful. I just wish we had more time there.

COLIN WILL BE YOUR BEST GUIDE

maria_s, Jul 2024
The tour guide was excellent Colin went above any expectations. I lost my credit card in the van, and he made a special trip to return it to me.. but besides that he made everyone feel so comfortable and welcome. His driving was safe. His presentation of the wineries prior to arriving was informative The wineries #1 was specially “stingy”. Never been to a winery were you get only 1 ounce measure of their product, he poured in a beaker decanter and if any left poured back in the bottle #2 winery the sample were all poured prior to our arrival, no explanation, just names. Charcuterie board was really good. We all loved the chicken and duck patte, would have been nice to have some more explanation about the wine besides a plastic card #3 Enrico’s winery was excellent, not because we had already drank samples of wine, but Mr John was proud of his wines and shared and taught us about it. He changed the glasses for white or red wines All locations were really beautiful But again Colin was who made the best tour Maria

Overall the tour was amazing

Dawn_D, Jul 2024
It was very interesting to listen to the first winery's owner at Cherry Point. She was charismatic, funny and I actually learned some things from her. At the other 2 wineries we did not have the opportunity to hear from the owners. Our tour operator, Kim, was awesome. She looked after us very well and was always ready to help/assist us if needed. I can't say enough good things about her.

Response from Host, Jul 2024

Thanks for joining us on a Cowichan Valley Wine Tour Dawn. Always one of my favourite tours we offer. Hope to see you again for a peaceful wine touring day!

Each of the three...

Lynda_C, Jul 2024
Each of the three wineries was unique. I appreciated having enough time to enjoy each location. There were just 4 of us, which gave us more time to ask questions. Our tour guide was engaging and accommodating.

Response from Host, Jul 2024

The Cowichan Valley and it's wineries are amazing eh? Look forward to hosting you again. Thanks for the kind words Lynda!

Great Wine Experience

Brian_R, Jul 2024
Kim, our driver was awesome! Friendly and accommodating all day. We met 2 other couples and had a fantastic time. Van was clean and drive was beautiful!

Response from Host, Jul 2024

This tour was so much fun and the vineyards were stunning. The drive to the vineyards is beautiful and each vineyard has amazing tasting rooms, and also great wines. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable which made the trip a great experience. The people on the tour were amazing as well and it was a great time!
