Itinerary

Make your way to a central location to meet your guide and small group. Then, set off to discover the sights and history of Verona.

Start off at Piazza del Erbe, surrounded by stunning frescoes and historic villas, then work your way through courtyards and hidden alleyways to discover the nightlife of Verona.

Continue on to find other quirky but less-well-known sites, such as the Well of Love, a landmark with a tragic legend. Pass more highlights such as the Castelvecchio Bridge, beautifully illuminated under the moonlight.

End your tour at the Verona Arena, the city’s millennia-old Roman amphitheater, which was built decades before Rome’s Colosseum. Once the site of gladiatorial battle, the stadium is now used for large-scale opera performances that draw crowds from around the world.

It was more history than romantic which wasn’t as discribed. The guide was a little hard to engage with.

I liked to hear stories during the sightseeing. We saw most of the top sights in old town which are close each other. The tour ended with wine tasting. Refunding for one of us was too difficult to receive, though.

There were issues relating to the nominated meeting place. Piazza Bra is a large space swarming with people. We were not given a more precise location such as the statue in the centre. Guide pleasant and reasonably knowledgeable. Focus of the tour was on seeing the location and outside of the various places and hearing the stories. Ended at an interesting wine shop with wine tasting

Weinprobe? Das war ja wohl ein Scherz. Nach der Besichtigung „Balkon Julia“ verabschiedeten sich die anderen Teilnehmer. Ich ging alleine mit der Führerin in ein Café an der Piazza del Erbe. Dort bestellte sie für mich 2 Gläser Wein … mit Erklärung zu den Sorten. Bravo. 2 Wein hätte ich mir selber kaufen können. Beschreibung und Foto von der Weinprobe stimmen nicht überein. Ein Preisnachlass wäre gut gewesen!!!!

Non potevamo sperare in guida migliore del Prof. Mauro Albrigi. Definirlo guida è riduttivo: una persona preparata, appassionata, competente ma soprattutto innamorata. Un amore travolgente e passionale il suo. Al contrario dell'amore tra Romeo e Giulietta di cui narra però, termina con un lieto fine. Ti pervade e non ti lascia neppure a visita finita. Io e i miei amici lasciamo Verona con qualcosa in più. La curiosità e la voglia di ripetere un'Esperienza così quanto prima, disposti persino a rinunciare ai calici di vino finali per godere della interessante compagnia di Mauro. Consigliatissimo. Il nostro è un arrivederci, grazie Professore!! A presto Serena, Gabriele, Simona e Valentina.
