This was such a fantastic experience and offered a lovely glimpse into the lives of a local Sami family on their reindeer farm.
Our guides were so warm, friendly and helpful, It was a truly authentic experience, with Reiulf and his daughter sharing some fantastic stories along the way.
The experience was well rounded and offered a lovely mix of scenic drives, time feeding the reindeer and learning about Sami culture, and a lovely lunch at a hotel in Sommarøy.
I’d absolutely recommend this experience for anyone looking for an authentic experience.

A lovely day on what is a small personalised trip with original Sami Driver/Host.
Plenty of stops to take in the scenery and take photos, nice lunch stop, and a nice way to spend the day.

Don’t even bother looking at other tours in Tromso - this is the best one! Our guide was knowledgeable, interesting, fun, and engaging. He first took us to a few fjord photo spots that were breathtaking - places big busses can’t get to. He talked about Norwegian and Sami culture and gave a rich history of the area. Then we went to his friend’s reindeer pasture and fed the adorable reindeer for about an hour. We then went inside for fire and hot drinks & cookies to learn more about the Sami traditions. He drove us to the Sommarøy islands and we were in awe! So beautiful. Lunch was at a hotel and was absolutely delicious, had vegetarian / vegan options as well. We were back in Tromso by 3:30. Such a good day. Just book it.

We can recommend this trip to everyone.
Our guide was very friendly, we got a lot of background information on the Sami culture.
Although the weather was changing like every 20 minutes, he managed to be very flexible in the planning, giving us a wonderful experience

Plenty of stops to see lovely scenery made even better as we were lucky with great weather. Guide was pleasant knowledgable and helpful. Plenty of time with the reindeer and great experience in the Sami hut. Great selection of food at the hotel. Would recommend.

Great tour led by our captain cum guide, Ola, it was a delight feeding the reindeers, listening to the Sami lore in a cozy Lavu over bonfire and Hot Chocolate and a visit to Sommaroy, all done safely and comfortably.

It was truly amazing and one of the best experiences I have had in my life. The tour guide was Sami local and vey knowledgeable and really passionate about this job. I will always remember this tour forever. I even would like to bring my whole family here in the future so they can experience this unique once in a lifetime experience too! There is a dog that helps with the reindeer. He was also very cute

Very well run and organised. Tour guide was very informative, friendly and kept us abreast of all updates. Reindeer experience was wonderful and we learnt a lot about Sami culture, its history and its people. Food was of good quality too.

What I loved most about this experience was that it was a small group and it felt like a very authentic experience, not overly touristy. Our guide was so nice, and the day was very well structured. It didn’t feel rushed. Getting to interact with the reindeer and learn about the Sami culture was so special! And the islands we visited were so beautiful.

It was a great experience. Although we faced a bad weather, our tour guide could find a good place to take a picture. He provided us with thermal suit so everyone was comfortable and warmth with the weather. It was nice experience in feeding the rain deer and got to know sami culture. The lunch was good. Really recommend this tour.

The mountain and beach stops are so beautiful and it was really fun to see the reindeer!

This was a great day trip. It was nice to meet the Sami guide who gave us an insight into the Sami culture. It was lovely to meet and feed the reindeer who, were so friendly. The Sommaroy Islands were stunning and we stopped few times en route to take photos. This excursion was a highlight of our trip, I'd definately recommend.

What a great trip and such a wonderful time with our Sami guide!
We felt very safe on the bus ride, even when the weather wasn't the best.
The multiple stops along the way made for some great photo options which were unexpected and very much appreciated.
Visiting Sommaroy island for lunch was the perfect break during the trip.
Feeding the reindeer was an immersive experience that will remain in our memories. The owner was so generous relating the lifestyle of living with reindeer and experiencing our guide and his friend singing Sami songs in the tent was so special.

Booked this activity specifically because it included several stops on the way to the reindeer to take in the beautiful Norwegian landscapes. When clear, the fjords and snowy mountains make for breathtaking scenery. It was a nice bonus to what was already a great excursion. The reindeer were so friendly - feeding them as the snow fell was such a magical experience. Getting to learn about the Sami people, history, and tradition was also enlightening and important. AYCE lunch buffet was terrific. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful local tour. Ole was a fantastic tour guide and educated us about the Sami culture and shared folklore about the ancient Norwegian life. We did a fabulous tour of the Fjords, reindeer feeding with Sarah and having hot drinks in a local tent.
He also took us to a lovely place for lunch and made some great friends whilst on it.
The weather was perfect and Ole’s driving skills were by far safe and secure.
Would definitely recommend it .

Wonderful experience. Our guide was a very kind authentic Sami and took us through all the different aspects of his culture while stopping multiple times on the road to enjoy the fiords. Feeding the reindeers was very special and also helped me understand their importance in the Nordic countries. The entire tour is well organized, the group is small, and transportation and lunch were good. You end your day with a lot of appreciation for the Sami people.

Amazing experience. Our guide was wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to see the most breathtaking views of the fjords. We got to fed the reindeer for about an hour. What a fun experience! We had hot drinks in a Sami tent and learned about the traditions and culture. Our guide even sang to us in the Sami language. Highly recommend this tour and company.

This tour is amazing!! the guides are brilliant and it was very well organised! The reindeer were such characters and the views of the fjords were just spectacular, it was the highlight activity of our trip and is a must do experience, the food provided was also very good

We were lucky to even have the sun come out to help us enjoy the beautiful fjords sceneries on our way to Sommeroy. Of course the best part is hanging out with the herded reindeers and spending some time hearing about Sami traditions. Great to witness the young generation continuing with some of the traditional ways and understanding how to sustain the gifts from Mother Earth in harmony.

Loved this! The group was small and it was easier to connect with people, especially as a solo traveler. Got to spend so much time reindeer and feed them as much as we wanted- the hosts were lovely and so kind! The driver was safe and smooth as well- multiple stops to take breathtaking pictures. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delectable!
