This was hands down the best experience of our Nordic. From start to finish, the Northern Lights yacht tour felt truly special. We were incredibly lucky, the Northern Lights were visible for most of the nearly four-hour journey, and we even witnessed the dancing lights, which was absolutely magical. Being out on the water, surrounded by silence, sky, and sea, made the experience deeply immersive and genuinely rejuvenating. The hosts were exceptional, warm, kind, and deeply passionate about what they do. The captain’s excitement when the Northern Lights appeared was contagious; he was genuinely thrilled for us, celebrating the moment alongside us, which made the experience feel even more joyful and heartfelt. One of the most memorable parts of the evening was hearing his stories about his grandmother from Tromsø, adding a beautiful personal touch that made the night feel intimate and human. The food was fantastic, especially the reindeer soup, which was comforting, delicious, and perfectly suited for a cold Arctic night. Every detail, from the atmosphere to the hospitality, was thoughtfully done. This was more than just a Northern Lights tour, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience we will cherish forever. Thank you for such a beautiful, soulful evening.

This was such a wonderful experience, and I really think that is because of the captain and crew’s attention to detail. They really thought of everything, from welcome drinks, to private time in the hot tub, to helping us carry towels around, it was so lovely. We even saw the lights, when I truly thought we had no chance at all. (Low KP and lots of cloud cover). A really wonderful experience, thank you both.

My son and I took a trip (his choice) for his high school graduation; this excursion was a true highlight. These hosts go above and beyond in all that they do. They CARE and are invested. To do this every night and to get so excited to see the northern lights **for your guests' sake** is heartwarming. The yacht was clean and every detail was thoughtfully decided upon to make the experience memorable, comfortable, and what each individual desires.

Hot tub in the snow at sea!

Firstly seeing the Northern Lights is a lottery not a guarantee, and although on this occasion we didn't see them (cloudy snowy weather), both Captain Kennet and Sachi were engaging, welcoming and professional and we still had a fab time. The interior of the boat was comfy and cosy and the reindeer stew was very tasty. Despite no Northern Lights, it was quite the experience to sit in a hot tub on a boat in the artic while it snowed! As we were on the deck, we caught Kennet for an impromptu chat as we were returning to port. Kennet is Tromso born and bred and has family roots going back to the beginning of the town so has fantastic local knowledge and clearly cares deeply about the place and the environment. Warning - wrap up warm if it's early January!

The Oceana Stella was in immaculate condition- due to the efforts of Captain Kenner & his wife Sachi. Both were incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. We could tell that they were invested in bringing a wonderful experience to our family. The Captain’s enthusiasm in siting the Aurora Borealis was contagious! You MUST try the Reindeer stew. We thought we’d be handed a paper cup with a few spoonfuls of- No! Sachi set the table and brought us a huge bowl of stew, with garlic bread. DELICIOUS! And coffee, tea & hot cocoa weee free to enjoy. Finally - you haven’t lived until you have searched for the Northern Lights, while sitting in a hot tub - North of the Arctic Circle. I highly recommend this tour. Heartfelt Thanks to Captain Kemmet & his wife Sachi. My family would happily take this tour again.

Snowy, snowy Night

First we would like the captain again for taking us out during a such an intense snowstorm! We were able to catch clear pockets of sky and stars. Soaking in the hot tub while floating on the Norwegian Sea with the heavy snowfall was an amazing experience. I felt just like the Japanese macaque. Lol We all had a great time aboard and it was warm and cozy under deck when we wanted to get out of the snow. The stew was hot and delicious and it was nice to pick what time we wanted to eat. It was easy to see how much the ship is loved and cared for, it was beautiful with the old wood interior and was comfortable. Everyone had a fantastic night and will remember it forever.

Amazing! The boat captain and his wife are absolutely lovely. We were scheduled time in the hot tub so we were able to enjoy the experience privately, not in a group as we originally thought. Showers, dinner, warm drinks and snacks were provided and all was wonderful. If you are looking for a relaxing evening under the northern lights, do not pass this experience up!

This is a fun cruise . We did not see the northern lights but we had seen them the day before . The Captain and his first mate are very hospitable . We enjoyed the evening . It was small group , maybe 8 of us plus ever able to witness an engagement on the boat . I highly recommend this tour .

Firstly, what wonderful people the hosts are! The boat is so comfortable and classy, cosy inside. Our host is an ex captain so he knows his stuff! Saatchi made the most delicious reindeer stew, cooked with time and love. (I always said that I would never eat reindeer stew but it was amazing!) :) The captain called us up to deck when the lights appeared (so that we didn’t have to stand in the cold on deck). There was lovely coffee and hot chocolate, cookies at our leisure. And then a miracle happened before our eyes! Her majesty aurora came out in all her glory and beauty and she dazzled and danced across the sky all around us! Nobody back home could believe how incredible our pics were! Even people who had visited before said that our show was nothing compared to theirs! I highly recommend these lovely people!!!!

The owners are phenomenal!!!!!!!! The vessel had plenty of room below to get out of cold. The food was amazing. You can tell they really love what they do. We went out on an overcast night with not much expectation of seeing anything. The Captain was still optimistic that there was a chance. We mothered for a bit and the we saw a break in the clouds. We waited a bit longer and then the Captain’s face lit up. The Northern Lights came out and he got so excited running around the boat to make sure everyone knew. The Captain and his wife both went around offering to take photos of everyone. Was a great experience and would do it again.

Amazing experience

We capped off our Norway trip with this stunning trip around the fjords in search of the northern lights. Kenneth and Sachi were amazing hosts and truly care that their guests have a most enjoyable experience aboard their gorgeous sailing vessel. We didn’t see the lights, but that’s out of their control, they did provide us with some of the most delicious reindeer soup that we tasted during our trip. Cannot recommend this experience enough.

Hopefully you get a clear night (we didn't)

It was a nice enough way to spend the evening however there are a couple points to keep in mind. First thing, make sure to wear underclothes, as ski pants and other "outside clothes" are forbidden and have to be removed every time going above and below deck. Second thing was that the boat never left sight of Tromso. We had taken the tour after being told that boat tours, like driving tours are happy to take you out as far as it takes to see the lights. That wasn't the priority however and the crew kind of shrugged and referred to the schedule. I'm not complaining but this one really doesn't come with a guarantee of seeing the lights (or at least the standard "we will do everything we can" other companies offer.) The hot-tub was a nice idea but we found the concept a bit awkward with other visitors of the tour walking about. Actually it would have been a cool idea if they made the guests introduce themselves (as cringe as that sounds) because at first it felt super awkward sitting across from each other. The owner of the boat was friendly and chatty however and we really enjoyed conversations with him above deck. The guest coordinator seemed a bit

A lovely evening greeted by Kenneth the captain and his charming wife Sarchi . At first you may feel it’s a bit regimented being told what goes where and when and it’s certainly not a booze cruise with no alcohol but understandably this is for your safety and keeping the boat clean and tidy which it is ! very warm cosy well kept saloon The hot tub was a bonus , although we were reluctant at first ,we got in and it was clean and warm and perfect for the evening before A delicious hot pot . The couple are lovely and really take pride in giving you a great trip around the fjords A small group which we prefer , and we felt very comfortable on board in the end Thanks guys !!

A very beautiful yacht that is so smooth and well run. The captain and wife were very hospitable and kind and generous. The captain knew how to hunt out the best northern lights and we had one of our best experiences. Highly recommended especially if you do not want to stand in the cold for hours. The hosts were great. Lovely yacht, very nice inside. Warm and inviting. The hot tub was amazing. We were allocated a time to have the hot tub to ourselves (45mins). The reindeer stew was delicious. Served when we requested it. The Northern Lights did a small show for us whilst we were on board.

The BEST way to see the lights!

Captain Kenneth and his wife Sachi have created the most amazing experience on this stunning vessel! What a joy to meet them and see the enthusiasm and excitement for the lights that matched our own. It was definitely the highlight of our trip and the PERFECT ending to our 10 day Tromso adventure! We went on New Year's Eve, which if you've never experienced in the city of Tromso, it is indescribably magical! Fireworks are literally EVERYWHERE throughout the city for HOURS! So imagine it: you're on this incredible, beautiful ship, hosted with the best food and lifetime experience of knowledge from your captain all while seeing the absolutely stunning aurora lights PLUS fireworks all around you and as a bonus, there is a HOT TUB on board? This was exceptionally delightful experience. Our boat was crewed by a husband and wife. He was a 27 year Norwegian Navy veteran and lifelong resident of this area. He got just as excited about Aurora Borealis as we did. His wife was the best hostess and chef. Her reindeer stew was beyond fantastic. We would book with them every time and we did see northern lights, and stayed very comfortable the entire time!

This was an absolute highlight of our trip and one of the most magical experiences of my life. The captain and his wife are both beautiful people who love not only what they do but the city itself and their passion shows. The reindeer stew was lovely and the inside of the cabin is not only charming, but toasty warm and a perfect place to spend a bit of a time getting warm between checking out the views. The hot tub was also great and there's a system so each couple/group get time to soak. We did see the lights but even if you don't being out on the water and talking to the captain is a magnificent time. This is a trip I would do again in a heartbeat and is worth every cent.

Nice host and delicious soup. Considering the bad weather, we would appreciate the tour was cancelled earlier. We didn't manage to depart and stayed at the dock throughout where we saw the weak aurora. This could be done without a tour costing hundreds, the plus point was the hot hub for not more than 4 pax at one time.

Do this tour! The captain and his wife are both absolutely lovely people who will ensure you have a good trip. We went out in a clear night and the stars from the boat alone are worth it. However, we were lucky and the northern lights put on a great show when we were in the Hot Tub. This was an experience like no other! Food and drinks are also good, the ship is clean and the atmosphere is perfect. Would definitely do it again. 12/10 experience!

What a welcoming and nice experience! It was a rainy, miserable day despite that we enjoyed everything from the warm cozy cabin, the welcome drink, the hot tub in freezing rain and delicious soup. Hostess Sachi and Captain Kenneth were super nice, everything was super well organized and smooth. Seeing the northern lights would have been the cherry on the top but no one can predict nature! Highly recommend!
