Our two guides were fantastic!!! Funny, organised and intent on getting us an aurora viewing. They travelled to a great spot, set up a campfire and took some amazing photos. They were very informative and made a cold evening a good one. Hot chocolate, dinner and marshmallows were great! Xxx

Albeit NL sightings not promised, I dont think the tour delivered what it said. They mentioned we will touch 3 locations but ended up only 2: Hansnes and Stornes. The weather was harsh with the strong wind and cloudy skies plus the rain. Most of us anticipated a 3rd venue so we stayed put as we waited to leave but to our disappointment, we were already headed back to Tromso at midnight. The word "Chase" in the title is misleading. It's just 2 spots. Lucky if they even make good with their words. On board: Angel, Nana (asst), Oge (driver, local). Tragic. I immediately canceled the other tour with this provider.

Our tour guides and drivers are very nice and patient. They speak clearly and true facts about the Aurora Borealis.

There was no chasing the lights. They took us to spot, arrived about 7pm still overcast but expected to clear up about 9pm. It just happens to be spot where all the busses go as well. There 5 buses/250 people in the same place to see northern lights. We arrived about 7 pm,it was dark out and there was patches of icy snow and round tuffs of moss so it was difficult to move around without light. So of course everyone was using lights which blinded me wiping out my night vision making it hard to see the sky. The Northern Lights were there but very faint, at first couldn't get a picture of it. They did get a little better as the night progress but not until after 9pm. Unfortunately, we got a great string of light but we had to leave. So wonder if it would have built into a great show had we stayed 15 min longer.

Petra and our driver went out of their way to collect us form our accomodation after confusion at the pickup point. Her expertise in photographic catching of lights was perfect...got GREAT shots. Reindeer soup, Thai curry & marshmellows at the firepit were good. Arctic suits/boots were warm & compared to other operators the price was RIGHT. Worth the money, well done...Annette & Curtis

We weren’t lucky enough to see the northern lights but Petra never gave up hope and kept trying. Even though the lights didn’t make an appearance the experience was amazing. I will remember for the rest of my life sitting on reindeer skins in the snow around a campfire drinking hot chocolate! How many people will have done that? Petra and our driver were both excellent I’d highly recommend. Thankyou Petra you made our experience wonderful

Was one in a lifetime. Possibility to see the lights was 2-3/10 and the crew tried their very best to find them, we went all the way to the border! I am so pleased. The only thing is I love photos and I’ve posed a lot, and even though I emailed to receive all my photos, I never received it. It’s a bit sad but other than that it was PERFEKT! I feel very lucky. Tromso is. great city by the way. I will definitely come back :)

This was a bucket list excursion for my wife and I. We were not disappointed in the least. We had originally signed up for the Big Bus Chase, but the tour company upgraded us to this mini bus trip. Our guide, Tomas, was one of the best we have ever encountered on many touring trips. He worked very hard to make sure we got to see a spectacular display of the northern lights. He treated us like long, lost friends. I would highly recommend asking for him for a guide.

I do believe we were extremely lucky in being able to see the lights that we saw. It was a fantastic show of lights and we were able to see them with the naked eye- a true life experience. Another reason I believe we were so lucky was because the two guides, Georgi and Gabby, were direct with their instructions and we were the first bus to get to the bathroom stop and to the spot where it seemed most busses stopped to see the lights. The light show was fantastic and the photos we were able to get were amazing. Some of the professional photos from Georgi turned out really well with lights in the background, and some did not. I guess it's hit or miss on what you get. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants a chance to see a good light show.

We really enjoyed looking for the northern lights with our tour guide Iris. She is a really cheerful and fun person, and non-stop encouraging us to be patient and also chat with the tour people while waiting for the northern lights. She is also very informative and took excellent pictures of us with the northern lights. We are really grateful and happy that we have her as our guide. Without her cheerful personality and non stop encouragement, we would have given up waiting in the cold dark environment for the northern lights. We really recommend Arctic Explorers tour for those who want to hunt the northern lights.

We got SO lucky, not even an hour and a half into the tour, and on the first stop, we got the most spectacular show above us. I honestly can't believe what I've seen, a dream come true! Louis and his team were very friendly and approachable, very knowledgeable and interacted with the group well. We ended up staying at that same stop for the whole night as there was no reason to chase. We got very lucky, with almost 2 hours of dances from the lights. Really would recommend this company! And stunning photos taken as well, good camera knowledge! And received it within an hour of getting back to our apartment.

It was a mesmerising experience. We were lucky to have seen nothern lights dancing and moving.
The guides Jere and Georgi including the wonderful guy driving our bus (forgot his name) were enthusiastic. They were kind enough to stop the bus when we saw amazing forms of northern lights.

It was great that the guide was responsive to the conditions to get the most out of the experience. He was really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. He allowed as many photos taken as people wanted to capture the memories. It would have been good to have had something to sit on round the fire like the other groups around us.

Value for money compared to other tours, if you don't mind large groups. Be prepared for a late night! Very cloudy and snowing in Tromso, so we drove 3 hrs to Finland where there was a chance of clearer skies. Within 20 minutes of getting there, signs of aurora behind thinning clouds. Aurora then stayed for 2 hours getting stronger and almost green by the end. Lots of ribbons, worth the drive, back into Tromso just past 3 am! Fire pits and hot drinks with biscuits. Guides were lovely and friendly, although could have done with more information to the group as a whole.

The tour guides were great, really looking for the lights, communicating well, and super nice. We didn’t get to see much of the lights due to the clouds, but that wasn’t their fault. I had the misfortune of getting sick while I was on the bus, and both of the tour guides and the bus driver were super nice about it, and helpful. Not something I wanted to experience on my vacation but they definitely made sure that I was taken care of, and got back to where I needed to be. The only real negative was the Wi-Fi didn’t work on the bus which we had four kids with us l, so we were hoping that would keep them busy but it turned out well anyway.

A must in Tromso! Tromso is a visit for Northern lights, for most; and Arctic Explorers and the team goes the extra mile to explore any possibility of sighting the aurora borealis! Guides Georgi and Iris were exceptional with the knowhow, entertainment, chats and stories, keeping us safe; and above all making sure that we see and 'experience' the Northern lights. Artic Explorers were very organised, we split into 2 groups and boarded the coach.
We were then told what the plan was and how it may change. So great communication.
We had an issue with the coach and they replaced it with one that was working very quickly.
We headed to the north coast of Norway, we stopped at 2 places to check the situation and on the 2nd stop they told us it will be a good place to see the lights.
Oh and boy they were not wrong, the display we witnessed was truly spectacular. I appreciate they don’t control the lights and sometimes we can be lucky or not. But their passion and determination to make sure we see the lights was very apparent.
Once we had seen the lights we were treated to an open fire in a beautiful setting. Then had cookies, toasting marshmallows and hot drinks served. We were told stories about the lights and Norse mythology.
We waited longer to see if any more lights would come, so you could tell this wasn’t just a rush job and get us home. They really did care and also the photos we were sent were great too.
If the light show hadn’t been very good or non existent, it would have still been a cool experience.
But the fact we saw the display we did really did enhance the experience and I could see how happy our guide Jessica was that we got to see it.
I won’t ever forget this trip, I feel truly blessed.

I had amazing time. At first they upgraded me from Big Bus to Mini Van, they also provide warm clothes & shoes for without any charges. Guide Vera has amazing knowledge about Northern Lights & because of her knowledge only it was possible to see some NL in bad weather. She took us almost 90 kms away, we also had a bonfire, Hot Chocolate & ready to eat dinner. I recommend 👌

This review is for the small bus chase with guide Georgi and driver Malek. Due to bad weather in Tromso, we had to go into Finland to find clear skies and hope to see the lights - and we did! It was a magical night and Georgi went to a lot of effort to educate us about the lights and take great photos of everyone. It was blizzarding on the way back and our driver got us back safely with no issue. Can’t say enough great things about this experience!
