I booked 4 taxis 3 came early no problem. The 4th was caught in a bad traffic jam right in front of my hotel. He did finally inched through. We all got to our destination on time.

While the driver got us to the port there was no communication during the trip. No one could sit in front seat due to baby car seat. We all crowded into back with our small luggage on laps as did not fit in luggage hold. Maybe Viator needs to validate that contractors can accommodate clients/luggages. Very crowded experience. Once we got out he took pictures of his van as if we had contaminated or damaged his vehicle on the short drive. We felt very humiliated by his actions. Would definitely not want someone else to feel such humiliation. Would not recommend.

In the product, we clearly state how many passengers and luggage a vehicle can accommodate, maybe you haven't noticed. In addition, our online customer service will also confirm the number of luggage with you in advance. It seems that they haven't done this part properly. We are very sorry for that.
Regarding the driver taking photos, you misunderstood the driver. We require the driver to take photos after completing the transfer to prove that the transfer service has been completed. This is not aimed at you.

GT-Transfer was a great. Our driver Sha Ho was on time and did a great job packing all of the luggage in the van. There were five in our group and we had a lot of luggage, it all fit nicely. The ride from near Tokyo Station to the cruise port in Yokohama was smooth and trouble free, right to the door of the terminal. Great job!

It will go down as the worst experience that I’ve ever had with Viator. First I get the message that I have a special window to meet the driver and if I’m late a charge of 100 yen per minute even though I explained that I have no control over my getting off the ship. I then get a message to meet with him somewhere outside and I standing near a bunch of drivers who all tell me to have him come get us. He does reluctantly and only takes care of part of my luggage. He’s totally rude and when we reach our hotel he just dumped our luggage on the ground didn’t offer to help us at all. If this is the best Viator can do you guys are in real trouble as I’m going to use another company.

I'm sorry for the bad experience. However, we have to explain it.
First of all, we offer 90 minutes of free waiting time, after 90 minutes, there will be a timeout fee.
Secondly, you did not purchase the meet & greet service, so the driver is waiting for you at the meeting point, and we have been communicating with you to guide you go to the meeting point, but you refused to go. Eventually the driver had to come to you.

Unfortunately the driver ( who was very nice) Took 30 minutes to confirm we were his pick up even though I assured him it was us as we had been given the a description of the van and number plate. When he finally let us on he then asked which airport? We were going to the cruise port.
Again he didn't know where it was and we finally got the hotel staff to talk to him and get the address.
Along the way he had to stop and check the route. He then informed us he hadn't been there before. We were very happy to finally reach the port and grateful we booked an early pick up.
The car was clean and roomy for us and our luggage.

We (3 adults) arrived at the Yokohama port in the morning and got great instructions from David via WhatsApp on how to find our driver! The van was able to fit all of our luggage (3 large suitcases, 3 small suitcases, 2 backpacks, and a duffel), the trip to the hotel was smooth, and he was very understanding when an emergency bathroom break was needed lol

The vehicle was great and more than enough room for all our luggage. But we had a problem with the exact location of the pick up.
You can only go a short distance with the luggage trolleys as you exit the terminal. Taxis were coming up to the terminal door but for some reason our driver wanted us to walk down to the main road with a ton of luggage! He was phoning to tell us to walk down a slope but we could not do it. He parked up and came to us then realised and eventually brought the van to us!
I do not understand why he did not come straight to the terminal in the first place! Better details are needed to explain the pick up point.

Reserved a van for pick up at cruise ship terminal to take us to our hotel, there was six of us. Tried calling the phone number given us but they did not pick up. Only responds to messages. They did not tell us that they are not allowed to pick up at the top of the terminal, but we had to walk down the ramp to the bottom for pick up. Total miscommunication with both operator and driver, who did not speak English.

Driver went to wrong hotel for pickup; once he did arrive he was surly and not very helpful with luggage. Seemed angry and slammed doors etc. While we DID arrive at our destination it was not really a pleasant experience

Driver did not come to pick us up. Had to contact the transfer company. Finally got a response that driver could not pick us up due to traffic in Yokohama. Why did they not contact us about issues?????
Had to scramble to make our own way to Yokohama. Missed our cruise embarkation time and had to make our way though busy train stations to reach Yokohama. Not impressed!!!!!
What will Viator do other than reimburse us for cancelling the transfer??
Will follow up when I get back home!!!!!! With correspondence to corporate office
