Depart from your southern Tenerife hotel and venture to the west coast to climb aboard your awaiting ferry. Admire the seaside splendor of the scenery as you sail towards La Gomera, a beautiful island hailed as one of the Canary Islands’ most sublime spots.
Disembark at San Sebastian, the island’s capital, and enjoy a guided walking tour of the town’s historical highlights. See charming churches like Iglesia de Asunción and visit Torre del Conde, a medeival fortification.
After enriching exploration of the island, return to San Sebastian and make the ferry journey back to Tenerife then to your hotel.

This was a very well organized trip. The guide was very informative and attentive. The stops on the tour were very well thought out and definitely worth the time and consideration put into them. It was a great day trip from Tenerife and would highly recommend.

I booked this excursion last minute. The day started off very misty in the La Gomera mountains, so misty that the first photo stop was pretty pointless as you couldn’t see anything.
Travelling into Garajonhay National park was very lovely and the bus driver negotiated some tight bends and narrow roads expertly.
Lunch was very nice at a restaurant in Las Rosas with a potato soup starter, beef and potato stew main course and creme caramel dessert and the restaurant staff were very attentive asking if anyone wanted seconds.
At the beginning of the day we were told that we would have an hour to explore San Sebastián, however by the time we arrived back and were dropped off in San Sebastián, there was only really time for a quick drink in a cafe on the sea front before needing to get ourselves to the ferry terminal. I would have liked to have visited the church advertised in the itinerary, however none of these were pointed out or directions given before we were dropped off and left to our own devices. Arriving back in Tenerife was a bit chaotic with trying to find which bus you needed to be on and this I feel could have been organised better.

Hugely emjoyable, well organised tour of the island. The bus trip covers a lot of interesting sites, and includes a couple of walks through a village and forest. Guide was very knowledgable and fun. The overall cost of the tour is good value as the return ferry alone is about €90 per person.

The collection from our hotel was on time and our Introduction to Enrico was in perfect English. He speaks in 4 or 5 languages throughout the journey around La Gomera. Hilarious tales of his life's various twists and turns literally as we are twisting and turning around sharp hairpin bends. All relevant information and tastefully considered for all ages and ears. A special thanks to "F1 Pepe" our bus driver for the days' miles through the twisty and quite frightening heights of La Gomeras' volcanoes and forrest terrain. His safe and efficient driving is the reason for his F1 status. Not his speed. ;) Sadly we could not see the peaks of the Chimney :( Mist/fog/horizontal rain, spoiled the late morning views from above. Lunch was a truly magnificent experience. Clean, precise and beautifuly presented food. I recommend the fish and red wine. After lunch it's a leisurely pace back to San Sebastian for 45mins free time before the last ferry departure at 1730.
An eleven and a half hour day (including transfers and ferries) of wonderous sights, cliffs, volcanoes, ravine, gorges, dams, forrests, desert like conditions mixed with local knowledge, whistling languages and good humour.

Not a great trip. Lunch was terrible and tour guide had to deal with to many languages, which made the narrative very hard to follow. You need to be prepared to spend a lot of time on the coach.

many thanks for your review. Yes it is a lot of time on the bus. We do our best with the languages and do try to keep it to a minimum. The food yes it is a case of love it or hate it. As it is a long day out we like to make sure every one does eat and with a little entertainment of the silbo whistling whilst having a break.

The trip was something different what we wanted. It was bus round trip with 60 people and no time for a trip in the mountains. It was advartised it will be max 30.

Many thanks for your review. We will look into this. However we dont take reservations for more than 30 at a time which the coach can be any size as we receive reservations direct too. Larger coaches keep costs down which we want value for money and easy on the pocket.

The ferry ride was fun, and the ferry is the most clean ferry I have ever seen. It was good to see another island and learn about the indigenous peoples. The guide was good & took good care of everyone; she had to speak three languages for the group so we only got snippets. Lunch was not very good except for the bread rolls and mojo. More time in town would be nice.

As with other Tenerife tours, long bus ride to pick up other participants. It was interesting to ride the ferry and to see the island. Being enveloped by the clouds and viewing the rocks within the mist was unique. The guide, Rosa?, was very good. She gave good descriptions and arranged several photo stops.

Wonderful ferry crossing, saw pilot whales. La Gomera is a very beautiful island and a tour is a great way to see the different terrains in one day. Our guide was informative but a bit lack-lustre hence only 4 stars.

The guide, Paolo was excellent, cheerful, very knowledgeable with great ability to tell us a lot about the island in several languages. The meal was excellent. The day wasn't rushed - just enough time at each stop. Plenty of opportunities to take photos, relax and look around. We chose the trip too because we were collected from very near to our hotel which is a bit out of the way from the main resorts on Tenerife. Great value for money and we would fully recommend! Thank you! ☺️

Great day trip! Must do excursion. From the moment we booked the trip we were impressed. We had quick thoughtful timely responses from the tour company. The pick up was timely and efficient. The ferry ride was lovely and very comfortable. Once at La Gomera, the tour guide Fernando was incredible and talented, with his vast language skills and his knowledge of the history of La Gomera was excellent. Our tour bus driver on La Gomera was also amazing. The beauty and history of the island is must see and hear.

Tour Guide Alex and Driver Gustavo did a fabulous job all day. Alex had a great command of Dutch, French and English that was used throughout the tour. Gustavo's driving skills in the regular sized motor coach were amazing to watch. We had a nice lunch at a local restaurant complete with the "whistling language" demonstration.
The Fred Olsen ferry ride to and from the Island was a great bonus.
I highly recommend this tour

The Island was beautiful - what a contrast between north and south! Lovely lunch too. Tony our guide was very knowledgeable. Only downside was the journey back to our hotel - we left at 7.30am and didn’t get back until 9pm.

Many thanks for your lovely review. La Gomera is a long day as it is another island, however well worth the trip. The pick up and drop off times do vary on your location on the island and the traffic levels. This is why lunch is included. The further away from the port the longer the travel time.

The tour doesn’t offer opportunity for fun !!!
It is for very old people who want to be driven around all day.
Our tour guide talked in 4 languages and with her strange sensual accent , it felt like she talked non stop all day long. We came home exhausted with a throbbing headache!!!
I would not recommend this trip to anyone unless you are very very old.

Many thanks for your review. This is a trip to visit the island of La Gomera as any tourist with a hired car cannot leave Tenerife with it. Most people like the information given on the bus. Our guides are very knowlegable of the island and make sure that they share this with all on the tour. We are sorry that the trip was not for you. All ages can enjoy this trip. We can say it can be a long day for a young child.
You dont have to be old to enjoy a coach trip.
We hope you got to see the rain forest and the islands famous rock formations. It is also interesting to hear the silbo language at the restaurant too. Some people in the mountains here in Tenerife use this language too.

La Gomera is a must see and this trip was very nice but there is some room for improvement. There was a lot of confusion at the pick up point as to who goes with which bus. The guide was very kind and knowledgeable but talked a bit too fast Spanish and somewhat difficult to understand in English because of the accent.

Beautiful scenery, sadly was let down by lack of communication from tour guide who had no badge nor gave her name, when guide did speak English, still not able to understand her, she actualy stressed everyone out and didn't make sense.
I wasn't sure I was on the correct tour at first! Much of trip was collecting from hotels and the ferry crossings, which is understandable to a certain degree, using a double deck bus wasn't ideal for those whose mobility wasn't the best. Could see some people struggling.
Our coach driver was excellent with the roads of La Gomera. There was no clear itinerary communicated, 3 scenery photo stops and other stops it was the usual queue for toilets and try get a snack and have no time to look at much else.
Lunch was tasty, Soup, Beef or Fish and a Pudding and Red wine along with some interesting local entertainment. Advise taking snacks with you for before lunch, there is food on the boat once queues go down.
The free time before ferry back was very short, quick drink then make our own way, back on the coach in Tenerife when dropping off passangers our guide got off coach and left us to spot the correct hotel to get off!
Been on many tours in Tenerife, this one was the most costly and disappointing due to the tour guide sadly.
