Join hundreds to view stunning lady teidi

iola_c, Feb 2026
You will need jumper or coat and decent shoes. Its 2300m at start of cable car.gift shop in village has quality items.i was not well with height and guide really looked after me and found a good spot to rest. Even sold my ti Cket so i could ha ve refund on cable car.

Overall not too bad

Maheshkumar_C, Oct 2025
The actual trip and tour was nice but we had difficulty hearing the lady in the coach. The sound system was not clear and some people around us were talking so we missed some of the information. Some of the information wasn’t very clear either, where the coach will be parked and meeting point.

Cable car

Ot was good until someone fell of her seat and every one had to try snd give her room. We think there was to many people in carage

Mount Teide & Cable Car

Jane_B, Aug 2025
We considered it a little pricey. Also, you were told you had 2 hours at the top, then were given a slot for the cable car, but you had to queue for 50 minutes for. On the way back despite bringing it to the attention of the tour guide and coach driver the journey was insufferable, as the air con wasn't working.

Good, but disappointing

Patrick_D, Nov 2024
Nice tour. Really nice bus. However, they didn’t tell us until we were on the bus and moving that the cable car wasn’t running that day due to ice and winds. He said he ‘had just found out’, but I didn’t see him take a phone call that instant. They just wanted to make sure no one canceled. That being said, the revised tour was very nice. It was stopping at different sites on the lava floor and let us hike. But we still would have rather had the choice ourselves whether to cancel instead of being forced on the tour.

Communication error

Pascale_P, Nov 2024
The pick-up place in the morning was changed and we were not informed. We were before time on the address we had from you. So we missed the bus, and had to pay a taxi to bring us to another pick-up point. A drive of 15 min. € 15. So we started stressed…

Wouldn't recommend

Agota_A, Nov 2024
This wasn't what I expected. It's basically a ride to the cable car and back. We barely stopped for a toilet break, let alone explore the park or have time for lunch. You are told off if you try and eat on the bus but there was never a lunch stop. Also we hardly had any time on the top. They tell you to get in the queue for the cable car half an hour before you need to come back down but they drop you off at the exact time of the cable car booking. It took us 45 minutes to make it up and were left with only 30 minutes to explore. Very disappointing. On the plus side, it's a beautiful area and the guide had some interesting facts.

Incredible views make the journey worthwhile. Tour guide was great. Just be aware that if you are staying in Golf de Sur then realistically you are getting up before 7 and not getting back until 4 so it is a long day. Also pay attention to the guidance on clothing. It was 3 or 4 degrees up there and with the windchill it is freezing.

Fantastic views

paulac47, Oct 2024
Great trip very early start as we were the first to be picked up, also very long day as last to be dropped off. However Julian our guide was so knowledgable and gave a good commentary throughout. We had an issue with our original bus but that was rectified in an organised and timely fashion we changed buses and all was well, it made us a bit behind schedule but otherwise not a problem. The park and the Mountain View’s were breathtaking, unfortunately the cable car was closed due to bad weather at the summit, Julian made sure we saw as much of everything else to make up for it. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Fast-paced tour with stunning scenery and excellent guides

Leigh_H, Aug 2024
This was a top experience for me. The views of and from Mt. Teidi were outstanding. The cable car was fantastic and sendero 12 at the top was magical. You could see several other Canary Island from up there. Ari and the driver were great. They kept us on time and ahead of most of the crowds. The food and drink available to purchase were good too. Note that when they say this tour goes from "the north" of Tenerife, they generally mean Puerto de la Cruz, not Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Rocks and More Rocks

Burke_H, Apr 2024
Technically, this tour was fine: we were picked up on time, and our travel guide was knowledgeable and fluent in English, Spanish and German. My reservations about the tour are really more about my own tastes: unless you like rocks - big rocks, small rocks, piles of rocks, jagged rocks, smooth rocks, black rocks, grey rocks, rocks ground into sand, etc. you may not find this tour terribly engaging. I did not. The cable car was not running on the day we did the tour - I understand this is totally beyond the control of the tour company but if we had been able to take the cable car, the tour might have been less uninteresting.

I booked the tour with the chairlift, but it was too windy.

Monica_L, Apr 2024
I booked the tour with the chairlift, but it was too windy. Awaiting a partial refund. I'm glad I got to see the park, but there isn't really enough time to hike which would have been great! There was a stop 30min into the drive which wasn't really necessary, and again on the way back. The guide was great. Probably better to rent a car if you're wanting to enjoy the park.

A fantastic Teide Tour

Kevin_M, Apr 2024
The tour company was excellent. Catering for different languages and allowing enough stops along the way for breaks. The views and scenery that you will see are absolutely fascinating and stunning. The tour guides were great here as they are explaining it all to you so you know what you are looking at. Overall, this was a great tour and superb value for money. Easily recommended.

Brilliant guide, Blanki, amazing views, wow

Agnes_G, Apr 2024
We were lucky, the cable car was cancelled all week, until our tour on Thursday. ( unfortunately this can happen anytime because of the wind for safety reasons) The bus was a bit late, but we didn't wonder about it as they needed to pick up people from a lot of places, and ours was the last pick up. So we started our tour fairly smoothly and shortly realised we have a brilliant, smiley and knowledgeable guide, Blanki and a very good, calm driver. We stopped at Vilaflor for a little coffee etc., then drove to the cable car base, then up to 3,555m. It was very well planned, everything went smoothly. Well, at 3,555m several people struggled, as it was too high for them and not enough oxygen for them, plus their body reacted badly for the air pressure differences. I was lucky, I had no any reaction, but my husband had some problems....... you never know until you are there. My advices: - Take warm clothing, it was 6 C up there. - Don't forget to put on your hat ( as I did), or put suncream on your face. - If you feel dizzy, sick or any pain ( headache, stomach problem....) which doesn't go away after a short time - take the next cable car back to the base, as your body still couldn't adjust the different circumstances up at 3,555 m. Personally we highly recommend this tour via Volcano Teide Experience.

Disappointed by tour operators

Akanksha_V, Mar 2024
2 star only for the tour guide Juan. He was very good and knowledgeable but the tour operator is cheat and deceiving. First they make you miss your breakfast and ask you to reach pick up point at 08:15 and then the bus will come at around 08:40. Secondly, once boarded you will get to know that the cable car is not operational , no prior notice or communication . Third, they will not give you refund that your deserve and they never gave you breakup of cost and now on their own discretion will process refund. DON’T BOOK if you value your time and money.

Excellent tour

Sheila_H, Mar 2024
Ava our Driver, and Julien our guide were excellent and personable. They always made sure we were all good during the tour. Also, Julien provided lots of information on Mt Teide and the park.

Well Worth it

Richard_W, Mar 2024
The complete trip was very well done. The pick up place was clear and easy to get to. The coach was on time and the tour Guide Maxim was very well spoken and provided great information. The day was picture perfect so the Cable Car ride was spectacular.

Good fun and informative

Sandra_A, Mar 2024
The tour guide (Benjamin) and the driver were fab. Even though the cable car was closed due to wind, they took us to see Teide from other positions and made other stops for photos etc. It was a very enjoyable and informative day.

Great tour with a great guide but Viator gave false information

Kadri_P, Feb 2024
A tour bus picked us up from our hotel in Golf del Sur, did many other pickups from other southern resorts and then somewhere around Costa Adeje we started driving up the mountain. The views were amazing all along the trip. There was a stop on the way to get breakfast. I wish our guide had told us about the local pine trees before that stop, so we could have had a closer look at them. Unfortunately we couldn't see any pine trees up close after we learned about their special features. Our guide Adrian was really good, he told interesting stories, made some jokes and overall made everyone feel good. Even after visiting the volcano when some people were half an hour late to the bus, he managed to keep our spirits up. Just keep in mind, this is not a tour around Teide national park (like Viator agent made us understand). You see some of the park, as you drive to the cable car station but the stops are brief and you mostly hear about what else this park has to offer. Also a Viator agent said that if we chose a northern Tenerife tour, we would start ascending to the volcano from the north, even though we stayed in the south. This of course was not true because why would we travel all the way to the other side of the island when all the guests came from southern resorts. But there is no critque to the tour itself, definitely go if you want to go almost to the top of the volcano! (Just keep in mind that it's a little bit difficult to breathe up there.)

received from the tour...

Arto_P, Feb 2024
received from the tour operator the departure time at the pick-up point of 7:30 am. the bus came at 8:15. and no notification that they are 45 minutes late. I also tried to contact to ask where the bus is staying or if it is coming at all, without getting an answer. luckily we waited as there were other people coming on the same trip at the pick-up point. not such a good start to the trip, when the small children are quite impatient to wait. a few people also talked about feeling unwell during the trip, whether the cause was the bad air conditioning of the bus or the winding road or the driver's driving style (two positions on the gas, off or at the bottom). The guide was professional, told interesting information about the places all the way, and the scenery itself was wonderful.

Caroline_S, Feb 2024
Great guide very knowledge on the area. Pleased that we could go on the cable car to the top. Great views but z shame that it wasn't very clear

Teide

gary_m, Jan 2024
Tour guide was really informative Well worth the money. Just remember it can be cold, so wrap up warm

Teide is interesting, but triple check your booking includes the cable car ticket.

Lynn_M, Jan 2024
The tour itself is good, but the website is too confusing. I thought I had booked tickets to include the cable car ticket… but apparently I had selected the wrong thing. So we sat for 2 hours at the base station waiting for everyone who got to go up on the cable cars. We tried booking with the tour operator as we got on the bus in the morning, but they weren’t able to get us on. Felt like a wasted trip.

Good day out

Tim_B, Jan 2024
A very enjoyavle, well-run trip with a knowlegable guide - great views and cable cae ride Recommeded to visitors to Tenerife

Worth every penny

Becky_S, Sep 2023
Fantastic trip from start to finish. Picked up round the corner from our hotel, had a message to say they were there. Very knowledgeable guide, modern and comfortable bus. The journey there was smooth and interesting. The cable car up the volcano was well worth it and the walk and views at the top were stunning. Highly recommend this trip!

Mount Teide Tour

Brian_H, Sep 2023
Modern clean coach, plenty of stop off points for rest breaks and photos. Very good and informative tour guide. Luckily we had no clouds at the top and the the ques were very short for the cable car. The gift shop had nice items for sale and although the restaurant was pricey the quality of the food was very good.

Disappointing

Mark_L, Aug 2023
Disappointing, only went on trip to see the top and then on day after boarded were told we would not be able to complete tour

Amazing

Reda_M, Aug 2023
The most memorable moment was Teide top. It looked amazing. The trip was organised well xx. History provided during the trip.

Only parcial refund

Ivo_H, Jul 2023
The cable Car was out of order and we got only parcial refund back though our intense communication with Viator chat

Do it!

John_B, Jun 2023
The guide, Maria, was fantastic. I was concerned about the amount of hotel pickups that they would do, but it was really only 8 in total. The views on Teide were indescribably beautiful!
