Overview

With this small-group half-day canyoning adventure, you can see the beauty of La Orotava from a new vantage point. The day combines hikes along scenic forest tracks and rappelling down orange and yellow canyons with a guide to provide assistance and lead the way to ensure that you don’t get lost. Participants must wear hiking boots or trail running shoes; normal running or urban shoes are not allowed for safety.

If you are going to drive at the meeting point from the north of the island (La Orotava). It is highly recommended to follow the TF-21 road and follow the signal of (El Teide). If you follow the GPS instructions, you will take shortcuts on very steep and narrow roads.

Bring warm clothes and long pants.(There are some nettles plants in the canyon that you may touch accidentally)
Bring a raincoat to prevent any sudden change of weather.
Every participant must bring a backpack with 1,5L of water per person and some snacks.
You must bring hiking boots/shoes or trail running shoes.
Normal running shoes or urban shoes are not allowed

This experience was FANTASTIC! I'd like to do canyoneering of every trip from now on. Our guide was amazing, fun, knowledgable, and ensured everyone's safety. The pace of the hike and canyoneering moments was great and customizable to the group's needs. I'd definitely say you need some level of fitness and agility. And you absolutely need good hiking shoes.

What an amazing day! Jorge was the perfect guide for this day in the canyon. He’s strong, safe and quite good at guiding you through an adventurous day. This is for beginners to canyoning but it will stretch your understanding of what you think you are capable of. It’s exciting and challenging and beautiful. Would highly recommend this tour if you are in good health. You don’t need to be in great shape, but in good health. What a great day and experience!
