We had a great experience with our tour guide Alex who was very attentive and knowledgeable. Our pick up was early in the morning (7h30) but on-time from Los Gigantes. We were a small group of 6. The first part of the tour is a short walk in the Enchanted Forest which does feel a little magical like a walking in a fairy tale. We were there early in the morning and had the impression to be alone with our group. When being utterly silent you could hear the water drops falling from the moisture that collects on the moss trees. The second and biggest part of the tour is the hike in the Anaga mountains we got well equipped with walking sticks, helmet and flash light. Impressive views of mountains and sea, narrow paths through tunnels and following an old water channel. We even got lucky and had goat encounters twice during the hike. In the middle of the hike we had a picnic stop with a sandwich, nuts and juice on a very nice viewpoint surrounded by green mountains and looking out on the sea. The complete hike took about 4 hours for 5.75km and 285m elevation gain. I would recommend having a good condition and some hiking experience to do this tour. Also good hiking shoes are recommended. We were wearing sneakers ourselves, which was ok, but decent hiking shoes would have been more comfortable for better grip. We very much enjoyed the tour and would recommend if you like to hike and being in nature off the beaten tourist tracks.

This tour to Tena Rural Park and Enchanted Forest above Masca left me breathless! The views were stunning and Mass created a positive atmosphere and knew so much about Tenerife and the ecosystems through which we hiked. I recommend this tour wholeheartedly. I am in moderate physical condition and was winded going up the elevations, but Mass gave me time to rest and catch my breath. Layers of clothing and outerwear are key and a small backpack is very useful. We stopped and had a picnic with juice, nuts, dried figs, granola bars, and a small waffle pastry. That recharged all of us and we enjoyed the break. The tour is limited to eight people and our group was fantastic. We represented the United States, England, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands. Mass speaks several languages, but ours was in English. Book before you arrive as this tour fills up fast.
