From the exact second he picked us up—perfectly on time and with a warm, welcoming smile—we knew we were in great hands. Ali’s English is absolutely flawless, which made diving into Tangier’s rich history and culture so much fun. He isn't just a guide reciting facts; he’s an incredible storyteller who is deeply respectful and passionate about his city.
What we loved most was how completely personalized the day was. Ali asked us what we wanted to see, read our vibe perfectly, and tailored the entire itinerary to match our exact needs and pace.
Navigating the bustling streets was a breeze because Ahmed (driver) is also an incredibly reliable and safe driver. We felt 100% secure the entire time, allowing us to just lean back and soak in the stunning views.

This private luxury tour is the way to go! He picked us up at the Cruise Port. Mohammed was our guide, so knowledgeable, kind, knew everyone in Tangier and I felt like I was touring the sites with a local friend. We went to Kasbah, Hercules Cave, had a nice brunch with Moroccan food and great hospitality. Rode camels on the beach (15 minutes is plenty!). I really enjoyed this day in Tangier and I highly recommend this tour - the entire highlight of my cruise.
This tour was perfect to fully immerse yourself in Tangier for the day and see every sight without the stress of getting lost. A private driver to take you from place to place, and the most incredible tour guide - Ali! We truly can’t believe all we were able to experience and the VIP hospitality we received from Ali - he even got stamps and mailed our postcards for us. Once in a lifetime trip and so happy we did it on this tour - we were on a Virgin Voyages cruise and booked this instead of one of the ship sponsored excursions so we could ride camels 🐪 🇲🇦
Ali our guide was a walking book of knowledge! He knew the entire history of Tangier!
Great sense of humor. Super friendly. Very helpful getting my ladies in and out of the van. Took us to some spectacular places. Took pictures of us at every stop. Just the nicest guy you will ever meet!! I highly recommend this tour, but make sure you ask for Ali!!

We had a wonderful time with our guide Mohammed in Tangier! He showed us the city in depth, including the local life, culture, and history, and went the extra mile to make our experience special.
He was especially patient and caring with my husband, who was having knee problems, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. Mohammed’s knowledge, kindness, and personal touch made the tour unforgettable.
By the end of our visit, we had completely fallen in love with Tangier. Highly recommend Mohammed!
Our guide, Coca‑Cola, was absolutely fantastic. He made the day effortless, fun, and completely tailored to us. We visited all the recommended highlights of Tangier while still moving at our own pace, never feeling rushed. Thanks to his local expertise, we were able to walk right into every site we wanted to see. It was a smooth, memorable VIP experience from start to finish.
Tangier will not disappoint if you get the right guide. Using a guide that knows the answers to your thoughts will make your visit one to remember. Ali, our guide, was great. Not only was he knowledgeable but he will be the future mayor (according to him.)He literally was know by everyone. It felt like we were traveling with a movie star.
There is no doubt on my next visit, he will live in one of the many beautiful mansions we passed. His title will be mayor.
The short camel ride on the beach was fun. The mint tea and local favorites stop was tasty.
The stop at Hercules Cave was an interesting
experience. There we meet a local guide who gave us a tour of the cave. Next, a walk around the Medina.

Our guide Hamza was incredible! We loved everything about our time with him. He was super knowledgeable about his city and culture and always quick to get a great picture of us which I loved. He even took us to a local eatery where we experienced an authentic Moroccan meal. We especially loved our ride on the camels
Great coordination by Ali and excellent tour guide, Youssef, who was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The tour itself was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch at the restaurant that Youssef took us too - we set on the balcony with great views. Just keep in mind that there is no menu/prices. The food was amazing but expensive. We were also taken to several stores where merchants were eager to make presentations and sell their wares, which we were not interested in buying. Although we’re very glad we took this tour, the city was safe and there were probably cheaper options to see the same sites.
This tour was fabulous!! Radi was our guide and he and the driver were both top notch ! He was informative and so friendly and made every opportunity to show us the beauty and uniqueness of Tanger Morocco ! I would highly recommend this if you visit Tanger wether by cruise ship or just over from Spain for a day or two ! This day was our favorite because of this amazing company and Radi!

This tour felt like blatant false advertising and was one of the most uncomfortable travel experiences I have had. The advertised camel ride lasted approximately two minutes, yet it was presented as a major part of the tour. Throughout the day, we were repeatedly pressured for tips, and the guide pulled me aside several times to insist that I give him a large tip at the end.
Even more disturbing was the guide’s treatment of a Black traveler in our group. The traveler was frequently ignored and treated noticeably differently from the rest of us, and the behavior came across as deeply discriminatory and racist. It was upsetting to witness and completely unacceptable.
A large portion of the tour was also spent sitting through unwanted product presentations that seemed designed to pressure us into buying things. I understand that customs and sales practices vary, but this experience was exhausting, uncomfortable, and nothing like the luxury private tour advertised. I would not recommend this tour.

Perfect way to visit Tangier! We had a spectacular time. Our guide was funny and warm and really helped us see this beautiful city. Can't recommend this enough. When we got back to our cruise ship, the people who did the cruise excursions were jealous of our experiences!
We had AMAZING day in Tangier and such a great introduction to Morocco thanks to Jamal (the best guide!) and this detailed tour of the city. There was so much attention to detail throughout the tour and from pick up to drop off. Jamal made sure we saw everything on our list and provided so much hospitality through the day. It was a hot day and he made sure we were hydrated and took breaks. Jamal made this day experience a 10/10. It was also great being in a private group. We were able to see so much more in a shorter time frame than the large tours we passed. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Tangier!
It was amazing! Hassan our tour guide was excellent! He took us all over: Cave, camel riding, sightseeing, tea time, shopping, and free time. Tour picked us up at the ship and dropped us off. Our family had a great experience!
Abdul was an excellent guide…took us to the camels first thing to avoid the crowds….this was the highlight of our trip. Then he took us to a restaurant outside of Tangier for tea and a delicious plate of cheese and a hazel nut crepe. We drove around the city stopping at different points for photos. This was a very individualized trip which we greatly appreciate.
We have been on several guided tours in the past. This was the best tour ever! Hassan built a rapport with us right away. The driver was great as well. Hassan knew the area well & customized our tour for our interests. He knew so much history and answered every one of our questions. This is such a good deal, as it was just 2 of us on the tour with Hassan and driver. He kept us ahead of the crowds and showed us surprising secret sites that I doubt we would have seen on larger tours. He even arranged for a traditional Moroccan meal for us when it was clear we were getting hungry, then came back for us just as we finished eating. TRULY a tour we will never forget! Tangier is amazing and our guide was wonderful!
Our tour today with Hamza and Nizar was great!! We learned so much, admired the beautiful scenery and thoroughly enjoyed the camel ride. Hamza brought us to some great little shops too. It was a perfect day.
If you're booking the Highlights of Tangier Private Tour, do yourself a favor and ask for Hassan—better known as "Coca-Cola!" From the moment we stepped off the ship, he was waiting at the end of the pier with a sign, ready to greet us with a smile and start our adventure immediately.
What an incredible day! We learned a lot, saw a lot, bought a lot, and laughed—a lot! Throughout the entire tour, we never felt rushed, pressured, or pushed into anything. Hassan made the experience feel relaxed, personal, and genuinely enjoyable.
What stood out most was how much he loves his country and how passionate he is about sharing its history, culture, and traditions with visitors. His knowledge, sense of humor, and warm personality made Tangier come alive for us.

Faud (Fonze) was a fantastic guide. He explained everything clearly and made the tour fun. The only suggestion is to allow more time to shop at the market (Maybe 30 to 45 minutes) and less time at the rug store. Overall, it was a fantastic tour and he made it very fun.
I am not exaggerating when we say BEST TOUR ever and Foued, our guide, was AMAZING! Our ferry arrived a tad bit early, and they even started earlier so they could accommodate. Saw true Moroccan culture and the camel ride was extraordinary! Our guide was beyond knowledgeable and truly knew a friend everywhere we went. So so happy with the day!

We enjoyed our tour with Omar. He came to our riad and picked us up, which we appreciated. The camel ride on the beach was definitely a highlight (and we have ridden camels a few times before)! Interesting to see the American Legation, the caves, and the lighthouse. Beautiful views at the top where you can see the Atlantic Ocean meet the Mediterranean Sea! And of course, going through the Medina maze is always a good time. We didn’t do the Casbah museum (maybe we didn’t have enough time?). He did have our driver stop when we saw sheep in an alleyway and of course several times to take photos. Note that we did have to pay (though not much) for the caves & Legation museum ourselves, while the description says they are included. We recommend this tour, especially if you don’t have a lot of time in the city. It is a great overview!
