The crew was knowledgable and friendly. Stops were easy to hop on and hop off and we had enough time in each location to explore. I highly recommend staying on the boat for the full tour and listening to all the points of interest along the way. Fascinating!!

So much fun!

Bev_P, Dec 2025
This is a great way to experience beautiful Sydney Harbour. We found it helpful to view the schedule in advance so we could plan our day and see all the locations we wanted. This is the 3rd time we've done thus and will do again on our next visit.

Helen_H, Dec 2025
This hop on hop off service gave us the flexibility we were looking for. We had wander around Watsons Bay and Manly. The added bonus was some great views of the Sydney skyline.

Waste of my money

kacie_a, Dec 2025
It was NOT worth the price. The way the schedule is created, you would need to study it ahead of time and plan where you want to hop off and spend time and hop back on again. Also, an app is required for the information about the different stops. I’m not going to download an app just for that. It’s cheaper to get an Opal pass and take a ferry and go to the location(s) you want to visit.

Gone looking for hop-on locations

bobwatts, Dec 2025
Where the hop-on locations are. We spent half a morning searching for a hop on location. Once we found one, the personnel were friendly and helpful

Linda_C, Nov 2025
Very easy to use the voucher. The HOHO ferry operated throughout the day and we were given suggestions of where to hop off. Friendly staff . Good value.

Could only use 1 day and only some stops!

Marlon_J, Nov 2025
This was okay! The redemption desk staff were excellent. The ferry staff were staff except the young lady who secured the boat - she was cheerful and welcoming! I wish the Description has noted the 2-day pass had to be used consecutive days and had noted that not all ferries went to all the port stops! As we did not get to effectively use our tickets - only one day and not all stops!

Ok but really needs to be more frequent to every stop

Maureen_B, Oct 2025
We have used on/off buses that run every 30-40 minutes. The ferry does not run very frequently and sometimes goes from one stop then back to the same stop it just left. A lot of time between ferries especially in the afternoon. The water is rough around Manly.

Opera House to Manly Beach

Pete_R, Oct 2025
Tour was right next to where we docked on our Carnival cruise. Easy and on time. Many places to hop on and hop off.

Being surprised in Sydney

Cecilia_I, Sep 2025
I loved the ability to see Sydney this way and was so happy I made the last minute decision to book this as I got to see Manly and Watson Bay and they were both lovely locations!

Great Way to Sight See beautiful Sydney

Wendy_B, Jul 2025
Easy access beautiful Veiws and lovely spots to sit up top or inside to see Sydneys landmarks .smooth ride and blue sky’s made this a great day .

Cheap harbor tour

Daniel_M, Jun 2025
Very convenient way to travel and sight see other areas of Sydney. The boats are punctual and comfortable. We really enjoyed exploring and shopping at Manly beach. Did I mention, this pass is wayyyy cheaper than the local public boat. I spent $50 one way across the harbor w the local boat. With this hop on hop off u can stop wherever u want as long as u want and not worry about paying for each trip. Well worth just as a tour of Sydney Harbor but even better with the stops.

Hop on Hop off Ferry

Jeff_Y, Feb 2025
Easy to locate and exchange voucher for ticket. Comfortable ferry and ran on time. Easy to get on and off and things to do at each location.

Manly Beac

shirley_m, Feb 2025
The timetable was very limited and we couldn't go to all the destinations as this was not on offer. I felt a bit et down by that. The beaches were beautiful and the sun made it for us

Not as good is expected

Andy_R, Dec 2024
Use the general ferries instead of the captain cook far more regular, and go from the the correct wharf.

A Day in Sydney

Fernando_C, Nov 2024
There very few stops, for me the only worth going to was the zoo. You do get to see the beautiful downtown area as you're traveling on the boats.

Just a ferry

Matthew_F, Oct 2024
It’s just a ferry. No more, no less. There are also city public transportation ferries, usually at lower cost.

Response from Host, Oct 2024

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. While we aim to provide more than just a ferry ride by offering scenic experiences and unique routes, we understand that different services suit different needs. We appreciate your feedback and hope you might consider trying one of our themed or sightseeing cruises for a more enhanced experience in the future. Best Regards, Captain Cook Cruises

Left at Watson Bay by HOHO

yicell_m, Oct 2024
I always use HOHO and I’m very happy. This time i’m not. I follow the time schedule to watson bay and when I wanted to return on the 3:45pm pickup the boat was hidden and there was not an announcement to find them. I searched and they were in the back and they were leaving me behind. They keep saying they were going to BENTLY which isn’t part of the schedule. I didn’t want to wait another hour so I purchase an OPAL card to get me back to the wharf on the ferry. It was frustrating

Response from Host, Oct 2024

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the frustration you encountered during your recent trip to Watson Bay. Your feedback is invaluable, and we appreciate your patience. We hope to provide you with a better experience in the future. Thank you for choosing us, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Good value but limited access.

Catherine_S, Sep 2024
The timetable for pickups was very limited. We could not access the commentary because of problems with our phones, not their fault but would have been nice if there was a little more info on the brochure for cases like ours. As an alternative there are public ferries available, however I would caution that those are very large with lots of people. Captain Cook's are smaller and not as crowded so that was a plus also the price for our tickets was very reasonable.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Hi Catheri, Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the smaller, less crowded experience on our ferries and found the ticket price reasonable. We appreciate your suggestion and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide a more seamless experience. Best regards, Captain Cook Sydney Team

Great way to see beautiful beaches and towns in Sydney

PaulinaMarie_S, Sep 2024
The ferry was always on time with very friendly staff on board. It was very easy to get tickets and find everything. Unfortunately, they don’t stop at some stops in the afternoon anymore.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Hi Paulina, Thank you for your review! We’re pleased to hear that you found the ferry punctual and the staff friendly, and that getting tickets and navigating everything was easy. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the reduced afternoon stops, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to improve our schedule. We look forward to welcoming you back on board soon! Best regards, Captain Cook Sydney Team

Average boat ride

Patrick_B, Jun 2024
Nice views but very noisy boat. Ok for commuting but for a touristic trip too basic. Boat was also going quite fast which gave the impression speed is more important then comfort.

Smooth ride

Bob_Y, May 2024
Excellent experience. Great and helpful crew. Smooth ride and comfortable ship. Really enjoyed being able to get to places without the hassle of driving.
