Taking place at his personal home, the small-group experience offers more than just a cooking class as you'll get a taste of some local culture, too. Learned quite a bit about paella, the culture, and Sevilla/spanish history.
Food and drinks were amazing, the paella itself came out delicious. The sangria was actually the surprise of the experience because it was done perfectly.
Fernando as a person was so nice and welcoming… very knowledgeable and overall just a very kind human. I am grateful for meeting him and sharing the experience with loved ones.
One item to note, the rooftop is up a few flights of stairs with no elevator, so just be mindful of that. Wasn’t difficult for my girlfriend and I but it could be for others.
Overall, I’d recommend the experience to anyone that asks. 10/10

This was one of my favorite experiences in Spain! Fernando is an amazing chef and teacher who is so passionate about sharing the culture of Sevilla and having us continue to share the paella experience with our friends and family! The setting was perfect! Rooftop terrace with a view of the cathedral, cooking paella with a small group, background music, and sangria. I would recommend everyone to experience the Paella Legacy!

great experience, very private like a date night on a roof top in a beautiful city. we got to do it with another nice couple from Australia. the food was amazing and the chef let us be very hands on and interactive to make sure we got everything right but also learned. drinks are also included which were very tasty. feels like eating with family with beautiful views of the city at sunset into the night

Fernando’s paella class was truly impressive — from start to finish. The location is stunning, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and Fernando himself is incredibly kind, respectful, and knowledgeable. The paella was absolutely delicious, and the view made everything even more unforgettable. Paella Legacy is a one-of-a-kind experience that you simply can’t miss. Highly recommended!

Wow. Just Wow. Fernando is a very exuberant host. When he sends you the text requesting to be on time, please do because you don't want to miss a minute. His love for his city, (he was raised in Sevilla) is so evident. The paella was fantastic, as one would hope, but his visual tour of the city from the rooftop was so charming. His father was his assistant on our visit and the two of them are wonderful together. Fernando clearly loves what he is doing, and it comes thru with his passion and love for his city and his cooking. I highly recommend.

I absolutely loved this class. I had previously taken another one in Barcelona but this was the BEST. Fernando is super sweet and takes his time explaining each step. The meal was delicious and the view was phenomenal. 💯 recommend this!

Worth it. Fernando was a great teacher and the food was delicious. The class started promptly and was a great experience. Everything was setup to go which was great and the class started around sunset so you could enjoy the unbelievable view from the rooftop. The view itself was amazing. Would do again. Would recommend to do on day 1 of your trip.

The class was fun & intimate. The views from the balcony top venue were spectacular along with the added commentary from our host, Fernando. The cooking masterclass was thoroughly informative with the use of every ingredient meticulously explained. The result was a super delicious dinner at the end of the evening. Fernando turned me into a world class paella chef!

What a fun night! We met very close to where we actually had our class. Seriously, there is no better view in Seville than this rooftop terrace! And the small group environment is just perfect.
Fernando has a passion for paella and clearly given a lot of thought to the process for making paella an easy one for students to repeat at home. I'd always been intimidated by the idea of cooking paella before, but I can't wait to go home and do this now! And I'm going to follow his recipe for sangria, too, because it's by far the best I've ever had!
Fernando is a delightful and energetic host. He prepped all of the ingredients for us before we arrived. His dad helped to serve wine and cheese -- love him! Fernando graciously took photos for us, and followed up with an email including the paella and extra recipes.
This was a super fun night with a super tasty dinner and we will be able to recreate this dinner at home in the future -- what a great souvenir from Spain! Thank you, Fernando!

I booked this experience for my husband's 30th birthday and it was so great, he loved it!
Fernando was so friendly and super passionate about teaching us how to make paella as well as giving us an informative highlights view of the surrounding sights which was fantastic.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience meeting Fernando and lovely fellow travellers. We got to enjoy and bond over our delicious creations together in the end.
Overall, it was very a very relaxed, easy to enjoy and wholesome experience.

A great way to start your time in Seville.
Fernando has a wonderful joy for what he does. His directions and information before arrival were very helpful. He provides an enthusiastic tour of downtown Seville from the roof deck of his apartment, pointing out the many sites and providing a brief history of each. We did during our first night in Seville and it was a great way for us to acclimate to the city and decide what we wanted to see, the rest of our stay.
We of course enjoyed learning the history of paella and how to prepare it properly. The food, wine, and sangria were delicious.

The views were unbelievable and the paella was very good. This tour was a bit more expensive than other tours we booked in Spain but was a very unique experience. The rooftop views are so unique. Tour happened at sunset so you got to enjoy both the day time and night time views of the city scape and the cathedral. Really breathtaking. Paella was very good. Nice learning experience. Great way to have a unique view point and a great dinner.

Fernando was a welcoming and attentive host. He put a lot of effort into ensuring we had the best experience, down to the music. He walked us through how to make a delicious paella, answered our questions, and took many photos for us! The view was the best view we had our whole trip. Beautiful experience and lovely introduction to our time in Seville. We arranged it for our first evening in town, which provided an excellent overview and gave us great restaurant recommendations for the rest of our stay. He accomodated our son's Celiac and everything served was gluten free. Amazing and highly recommend.

We were guests in the beautiful high rise penthouse of our host Fernando. The atmosphere was amazing. The views from his rooftop allowed a complete view of the city. His historical presentation was intriguing.
We were part of a group of 10 strangers. Before the end of the evening we were all friends (thank you Walter). We learned how to make a wonderful tasting paella and enjoyed the best sangria I have ever tasted. A bonus was recipes for the paella and sangria. I cannot wait to try these when we return home. I cannot recommend this enough!! Don’t miss out on an evening of joy and happiness.

Many of the reviews about this paella cooking class highlight the beautiful views from the apartment and Fernando's skills as an accomplished chef. Indeed, he has developed a quick and informative way to teach the art of making paella, which we appreciated. However, we found Fernando's energy and enthusiasm a bit overwhelming for our tastes. We were anticipating a more relaxed, laid-back experience and instead felt as though we were participants in a game show, which might be more suitable for a larger, livelier group. While we understand this style could be very engaging for some, it was not exactly what we were hoping for in our cooking class.
