What a wonderful tour!! The tour guide was outstanding— extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and kind. We learned not only about the Jewish history of Andulucia/Seville but also about Spanish history as a whole. He brought our attention to small details we would never have noticed and brought history to life in the many places we visited. Highly recommended!

This is a small walking historical tour of the Jewish quarter. The guide was very knowledgable and it was very interesting. If you like history this is a must. The walking is not difficult and is about an hour and a half. We had the dinner and it was very good.

Really special tour of the Seville Jewish quarter

    Debbie_F, Mar 2026
Carmen really knows her stuff. She took us all over the Jewish quarter and showed us interesting places like the site of the former synagogue which is now a park, the Mikvah which actually is hidden under a restaurant now, and a casket from the ancient Jewish cemetery which is currently in a parking garage. She has a great personality and was able to address everyone’s questions no matter what their knowledge base was.

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thank you so much, Debbie! We’re delighted you enjoyed the Jewish Quarter & tapas tour with Carmen. Her knowledge and storytelling really bring these hidden stories to life. Rainy traipse through the Jewish quarter

Miguel was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area and general history of Seville. The tapas food was a good selection, even for a vegetarian, and me and my friend thoroughly enjoyed our evening (despite the rain)!

    Wonderful

    Kia_C, Nov 2025
The tour was lovely and our guide Valentín was absolutely fantastic. As a scholar of history, he shared so much interesting knowledge about the historical cultural landscape of not only the Jewish community of Seville, but also of the other cultural influences of the region. Our guide’s passion for Spanish history was infectious. And his obvious love of engaging with different people made for such a welcoming and memorable experience.

    Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you for such a thoughtful review! We’re delighted that Valentín’s passion for history and his way of connecting with people made the Jewish Quarter & Tapas tour so memorable for you. His ability to weave together the different cultural layers of Seville is exactly what makes this experience special. If you ever return to the city, we’d love to have you join another of our small-group tours.

    Insightful and very special tour

    Cristina_M, Oct 2025
I learnt so much on this tour! Clarified many stories I had come across over the years and discovered another side of this part of the world and its interesting past! Our guide Marta is not only very knowledgeable, but also great fun! And also enjoyed the tapas after the tour, great choice and always better when food comes with background information😊 Thank you Marta for being such an amazing host and so open to sharing! I leave enriched!

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you, Cristina! We’re thrilled you enjoyed discovering Seville’s Jewish heritage with Marta — her mix of knowledge, warmth, and humour makes every story unforgettable. We’re so glad you loved the tapas and the insight behind them. What a lovely way to end the evening!

    Jewish Seville

    Lance_E, Oct 2025
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Jewish history of Seville, unfortunately there is very little physical remains of the Jewish community. He showed us where they lived and worshipped and what became of them. We then had a tapas dinner with drinks and three courses. The restaurant was very accommodating regarding dietary issues with one us gluten intolerant and another unable to eat pork or shellfish. Overall it was a very enjoyable and informative evening.

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you for sharing this! We’re so glad you enjoyed discovering Seville’s Jewish past and ending the evening with great food and company. It’s wonderful to know the restaurant’s care made it even more special. We’d love to welcome you again on another experience!

    Great Experience in Seville!

    Grace_Y, Oct 2025
Marta was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and engaging. This was my second time in Seville but my family’s first, and I still learned so much. She made the history and culture come alive in such an interesting and fun way. She was very patient with my Korean-speaking family and allowed me extra time to translate for them, which we truly appreciated. We ended the tour chatting over tapas and drinks, and getting to know her better and hearing about life in Seville was such a treat. It truly felt like we were just hanging out with a local. Thank you, Marta, for making our experience in Seville unforgettable!

    Highly recommended!

The guide was great. Very patient answering the questions thrown at her by my three kids. Great pace and interesting stories.

    Worthwhile and interesting tour.

    Gary_T, Jun 2024
We 'thought' we had seen the Jewish quarter the day before, as part of a tour of the Real Alcazar, but we were wrong! Tour guide was Marta. The tour started at the entry to the Alcazar and then headed to an area that, while adjacent to the Alcazar, has its access really quite hidden unless you know where to look. Marta was quite knowledgeable about the area and its history. The Jewish quarter overall is a quiet hidden area of narrow winding streets and small plazas in a unique location within Sevilla. It is very much worth seeing assuming one has an interest. Tour of the quarter ended with a short walk to a bar for tapas and drinks. We did not stop at a wine cellar (which was ok as that was not what the tour was really about). Tour concluded on a beautiful and active side street near the main Cathedral.

    Interesting tour and great tapas!

    Jessica_J, May 2024

We took this tour during our second day in Seville. It was fascinating to learn the history and the significance of the buildings and structures that we had been walking around over the last couple of days. Carlos is an incredibly knowledgeable guide who explained everything and answered all of our questions - it was a pleasure getting to meet him. Definitely take this tour!

    Very interesting tour

The most inspiring part was the knowledge and enthusiasm of our tour guide, Carmen Maria. She was able to fully explain little details about the seville neighborhood and particularly one very important part of the history.
