There were not a lot of Jewish relics remaining. For example, all the synagogues are gone. The Jewish Quarter is a charming part of the city, none the less.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your feedback, Margaret. We’re glad you found the Jewish Quarter charming.
However, we would like to point out that the nature of the Jewish Quarter in Seville is clearly explained in the tour description. As you mention, many original structures no longer exist, and the experience focuses on understanding a historical legacy that is not always physically visible.
For this reason, we strongly recommend carefully reading the description and having a basic understanding of what you are booking, to ensure expectations are aligned. Reviews like this, unfortunately, can negatively impact the perception and positioning of the tour, the guides, and the area itself.

Miguel was a great guide and is so knowledgeable. It was helpful to read some of the reviews beforehand to realize that there isn’t a lot to “see”, which is also why Miguel’s extensive knowledge was so appreciated. He gave really important insight and context into what occurred throughout Spain’s history. Very interesting.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you so much, Amanda! We really appreciate your thoughtful words. You’re absolutely right — this tour is about understanding the history and context of the former Jewish Quarter, and we’re so glad Miguel’s knowledge helped bring that story to life.
We’d love to welcome you back to explore another side of Seville on your next visit!
Stephanie_H, Feb 2026

Cindy_M, Nov 2025
Excellent guide. I was sad to see and hear how most of the Jews were expelled from the city many years ago. Not much of their existence seems to have survived. There is a lot of history, but not much is present.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you, Cindy! We really appreciate your thoughtful review. It’s true that little remains of Seville’s Jewish heritage, but our goal is to keep its memory alive through storytelling and context. We’re glad you enjoyed the historical depth of the tour and hope to see you again soon for another experience in Seville!
Debra_S, Nov 2025
If you’re fascinated with history, this is the tour for you. Miguel has a good fund of knowledge and kept us moving through some beautiful annd quaint unknown parts is Sevilla. He was able to answer all the many questions thrown at him, was pleasant and engaging. You have to use your imagination to “see” the Jewish Quarter as there are not many remnants though.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you so much for this thoughtful review, Debra. Miguel will be thrilled to hear you enjoyed wandering those quieter, story-filled corners of the old Jewish Quarter with him. It’s true that much of its past survives more in memory than in architecture, and having a passionate guide makes all the difference. Whenever you’d like to explore another side of Seville with us, we’ll be here to welcome you!
Melanie_M, Nov 2025

Karen_G, Oct 2025
This was a small group of 10 people, led by a knowledgeable guide through the Jewish quarter of Seville. He was very good at relating the history and context of Jewish life and experience in Spain and Seville in particular. In spite of it being a group tour, it was small and personal enough that we were able to hear everything and ask questions easily.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you, Karen! We’re so glad you enjoyed exploring Seville’s Jewish Quarter with our guide — his knowledge and storytelling make the city’s history come alive. It’s wonderful to know the small-group setting made the experience feel personal and engaging.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Valentín. Was one of the best Jewish tours we’ve experienced. He loves sharing his vast knowledge of the Jewish history of Seville, and I learned so much about the 1492 diaspora. He had a great sense of humor, and taught us some Ladino expressions. Thanks
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the Jewish Quarter tour with Valentín and his passion for sharing history, humor, and even Ladino expressions. Your kind words mean a lot — we’d love to welcome you again in Seville!

beth_b, Jun 2025
Guide Clara was excellent. I loved the small size of the group. The guide was knowledgeable and was supply to take questions throughout the tour.
James_N, Oct 2024
My fiancé and I loved strolling Santa Cruz with Barbara, who was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. We got our steps in and learned a great deal. Our only regret was that the content of the tour was mostly focused on tragedies and not a discussion of the vibrant Jewish culture in the city during the heyday of Jewish life Sevilla. This is not a knock on the guide or even the history, these records seem not to exist, but I think added focus on what daily life was like, coexisting with Christians and Muslims in a complex time, would be helpful.
Jeff_G, Oct 2024
Very good tour with a very knowledgeable guide. She explained the Jewish history of Seville and took us to the relevant sites.
Rebecca_W, Sep 2024
Marta was welcoming, knowledgeable and passionate about Seville, which drew us into the tour. I enjoyed learning about the historic Jewish community, and seeing the few remaining artifacts from them. Marta also provided enough context for us to see how things unfolded. Today there are virtually no Jews in Seville, a reflection of centuries of persecution, but Marta deftly explained the roles Jews played in the 13th and 14th centuries and how their presence remains woven through the fabric of the city to this day.
Philip_J, Sep 2024
Miguel did an excellent tour explaining history in context and answering questions. I highly recommend this tour
Michael_G, Sep 2024
Barbara is an excellent, intelligent & knowledgeable guide. She explained things in such a way that everything seemed to come to life. It was an extremely enjoyable tour and I would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Sevilla.
Linda_B, Jun 2024
Barbara was an excellent guide through the Jewish Quarter. The sad but fascinating history of conquering religions still goes on.
Annette_C, Jun 2024
Our guide Clara, who is also a historian, and spoke wonderful English was, as the Spaniards say ‘mega super’ wonderful in storying telling and weaving history into the tour of the quarter - full of knowledge, she was such a wonderful guide that gave us a great sense of what happened, why and how it fit into the global and European history.
Edward_R, May 2024
Clare led a very informative journey through the old Jewish Quarter. As most of the physical has been erased...the details are important! She was very knowledgeable and provided many insights into the local history. Well worthwhile!
Lisa_S, May 2024
The tour was wonderful. Carmen, our guide, gave us so much information.
We were a small group which made the tour more private.
Jennifer_J, Jun 2023
Learned so much about the history of Jews in Spain. Very knowledgeable and pleasant guide. Recommend it!
LNeal_M, Apr 2023
The tour guide was enthusiastic and brought to life so many stories of the long ago lives of Jews who lived in this corner of the Iberian peninsula.
Liam_F, Jul 2022
A very enjoyable and in depth tour of, not only the Jewish history, but also of Seville. Very well explained and interesting. Highly recommend.
