Issue with booking

Robert_G, Mar 2026
The tour was good, however, there was a mixed up with our pick-up point because (I think) there were too many intermediaries in the booking (viator -> some intermediary -> real tour operator)

One star, horrible tourguide

Aleem_F, Mar 2026
Despite the four stars associated with this tour, it was a one star tour for me. The tourguide Laura was absolutely horrible, had no concept or time or compassion. I pulled a back muscle just before the trip and could not cancel. So i went, thinking I could stay on the bus if it got too bad. I was in incredible pain, and Laura just could not understand it. “5 min” walk took an hour and a half, and then when i said I could not walk anymore, she gave me choices like “if you walk like 5 min to bus stop and then we walk back”. I asked if 5 min meant 5 min, she said “it could be 6. Usually this walk takes 5 min today it took 20”—basically not giving me any confidence that I can rest my back. It was blatantly ugly, her sentence that “everyone else is ok with walk”, and “she is trying her best. When i become tourguide i can give better directions.” This really got me. I am in extreme pain, and this woman not only didnt understand that, but kept pushing as if walking off a muscle pain is the best thiing. She could not give a straight answer as to how to get back at the end of the day. I ended up not going to the rock at all, spend $300 for a bad trip, walked 10000 steps with pain, and made to feel bad by an awful tourguide. I would never use this tour company again.

A fascinating island packed with amazing history

Tour did not happen….very disappointing

sylvie_a, Dec 2025
Experience did not happened…We waited more than 45 minutes in the cold at the meeting point and noone showed up. We then went to the tour provider office where we were told that they did not receive our booking and nothing could be done about it…People were most unfriendly and did not seem to care for 1 minute…Tour provider is Naturanda : to be avoided !!!!

Gibraltar.

Sunil_A, Nov 2025
Left late. We were rushed through the sites. Miguel , our guide was a little abrasive in his words. If Europa point: cradle of the pillars of Hercules was pointed out to us, we obviously missed it because I don’t remember seeing it. In the itinerary, it said visit the rock of Gibraltar and explore the caves of San Miguel and then it also lists entry/admission Saint Michaels Cave. Are they not the same thing? The itemized inclusions makes you feel that there are a lot of points covered, but I think it is repetitive. on the whole it was a very rushed visit to Gibraltar.

Worth considering to fill a day

Peter_M, Nov 2025
Firstly, our guide, Carlos, was absolutely, flat-damn excellent in every regards. Could not have asked for a better guide. The ride was very comfortable and safely accomplished via a wonderful driver, Manuel. Also, we stopped going/coming at a great convenience store for bathroom breaks, coffee, food, etc. But have to point out a bit of a problem: ticket instructions for pickup were contradictory and provided wrong times for pickup. As a result, we waited over an hour to be picked up at the assigned location. Secondly, Gibraltar was surprisingly unkept, not the cleanest place I’ve visited, and this surprised us a bit knowing it was a British administered location. Seeing the actual Rock of Gibraltar was good. Don’t eat in the city square where prices were high, walk along the many retail avenues and enjoy better pricing/options. We DID get a real hoot from walking across the Gibraltar airport runway, only airport in the world that has commercial and pedestrian traffic crossing an active runway. Had to wait for a departing Airbus jet on the way in. Unreal experience. Seeing the monkeys hanging around (pun entirely intended) St. Michael’s cave was interesting and they did not bother anyone. The caves were easy to view as well, enjoyable. The city tour conducted separately was also worthwhile, albeit a bit hurried. Overall, I am glad we did this tour but would not put it on an “A list” of must do travels.

Great tour; poor communication with tour company delays

Sheila_F, Oct 2025
Gibraltar is a not to be missed experience and our guide Petra was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately the downside side of this trip for us was, we had booked this trip because it was supposed to be guaranteed 20 people, and more than 50 people boarded our coach bus. We did break down to a smaller group in Gibraltar to ride a smaller bus but that was also more than 20 people, and it we were joined by the other bus at each stop. The other issue was our meeting time said 8:00, then in another area it said 8:10. We waited until almost 9 am to meet Petra and board a bus. No communication from the tour company was ever received to indicate the time change or delay. I did text the tour company 3 times and received no reply to my messages. No apologies or explanation were received as we were finally rushed onto the bus 1 hour after our arrival. This is no way to do business. Traveler beware.

Much wasted time. Pickup time 0815, left 1000. Operator blames Viator for extensive delay leaving and much less at locat

Teresa_H, Oct 2025
Gibraltar is a must to visit and a nice day trip from Seville. Extensive delay leaving, blamed Viato

Nice tour...long ride!

Christine_B, Oct 2025
Caves and monkeys were very cool. Beautiful location. Petra, our guide, was fabulous & fun. Explained all procedures well and made sure we all understood. Glad we got the "on your own" time out of the way in the beginning. Cons: No bathroom on the bus and it was a loonnng trip back with the bathroom break at the beginning. Starting an hour late and then another 40 minutes waiting for lost passengers.

Fun trip

David_N, Oct 2025
Quick drive down to the fantastic town of Gibraltar, lots of history, monkeys and a unforgettable cave visit, guide was very clear and knowledgeable.

Great tour but improvement to be made

MarieJosee_L, Oct 2025
During the tour we got to see the monkeys and the caves. At the beginning of the tour, they give you 2 hours to visit the town which is a tourist trap full of shops. Tour would be greatly improved if we would use those 2 hours to see the World War II tunnels or the pillars of Hercules.

Glad only went for a dsy

Alison_k, Sep 2025
Glad I only went for the day to Gibraltar. Coach to and from Gibraltar is just over 2 hours each way. Too much time was spent in the town and not enough on the Rock . Was a good day but felt very rushed.

Gibraltar was very cool....

Donna_J, Sep 2025
Gibraltar was very cool. The tour day is long. It takes about 2.5 hours to get to Gibraltar. So have to go thru immigration and cross an airfield. So that’s an experience. In my opinion the time in town is too long. There’s nothing really special there. The time on the rock is very rushed. Our tour guide, Daniella, was great. Very kind. Our driver, Angel, on the rock portion didn’t act like he wanted to be there. He rushed us. We were at the lookout point where you could see Morocco and he Said nothing informative. So we didn’t know until we got back that we actually saw Africa. He kinda yelled at us and threatened to leave us if we came back late from the cave. Not having been there before I just walked straight thru it. Didn’t really see anything. They had multi-colored lights on and it was weird. I’ve been to much more impressive caves. And turns out we made it back to )the meeting point 5 minutes ahead of schedule. So we could have spent more time. I understand it’s hard to do a tour to a location and back in one day. But I felt like this could have organized just a little better. We did enjoy seeing the monkeys. And glad we went. It was a long day but worth it

Could have started around 9am( instead 8am), as there was too much time for lunch ( 2 and 1/2 hours) and not much to do

Dhaval_P, Aug 2025
Tour could have started 1 hour later. At 9 am ( instead of 8 am), as 2 and 1/2 hours was too much time for lunch as nothing much to do - that’s about tour organization . Tour it self - lot better stuff to see instead of Gibraltar, unless you have lot of free time

Gib Rock trip w Petra!

Rock of Gibraltar Day Trip

Michelle_C, Aug 2025
We had a great time and really enjoyed the long day exploring the Rock of Gibraltar. Everything we did throughout the day matched our expectations, and the entire experience was well organized from start to finish. We appreciated that there were several stops along the way for restrooms and food, which made the day much more comfortable and enjoyable. One of the highlights was definitely seeing the monkeys. They were so entertaining! In fact, one of them got a little too bold and stole our bag to get to the chips inside. It gave us all a good laugh and made for a memorable story to take home. While we didn’t make it all the way to the top of the Rock, we hadn’t planned on it, so it wasn’t a disappointment. There was still plenty to see and do, and we felt like we got a full experience without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a fun, interesting, and satisfying day that gave us a great taste of what Gibraltar has to offer.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience! 🌟 We’re delighted to hear that your day exploring the Rock of Gibraltar matched your expectations from start to finish and that you found the organization, rest stops, and pacing comfortable and enjoyable. The monkeys 🐒 certainly have a way of making themselves unforgettable — sounds like you got a true “Gibraltar welcome” with that bold chip thief! We’re glad it turned into a funny and memorable story for you to take home. Even without reaching the very top, it’s great to know you still felt you had a full and satisfying experience. Gibraltar has so much to offer, and we’re happy you could enjoy it at your own pace. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future! Warm regards,

Not as advertised

Ecaterina_D, Aug 2025
This trip was advertised as a visit to the Rock of Gibraltar, as shown in the promotional picture. When I purchased my ticket, I was enthusiastic about riding a cable car or eventually a gondola, up the Rock , and enjoying the experience as depicted. Unfortunately, the tour had very little to do with the Rock itself. Although the trip lasts 10 hours, once you arrive in Gibraltar, you're left on your own to wander through numerous gift shops—many of questionable quality—for about two hours. After that, another company takes over to show you the Rock: a brief five-minute stop to see some monkeys, followed by a rushed 20-minutes visit to a cave. When I asked whether we would reach the summit of the Rock, as advertised, I was told that the promotional photo was just for marketing purposes and that there was no actual cable car ride included. It felt misleading, as the main highlights of Gibraltar were not delivered. Spending 10 hours to see only about 25 minutes of notable sights hardly seems worth the time or money. Still, if you're curious to visit Gibraltar, I would recommend lowering your expectations.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that the experience didn’t meet your expectations. However, we’d like to clarify a few important points regarding the tour: At no point in the tour description do we state that a cable car ride to the top of the Rock is included. The promotional image used shows one of the panoramic views available from the Rock, not from the cable car. These images are meant to represent the kind of scenery you can enjoy during the tour. Our visit reaches the highest point accessible by bus, which offers breathtaking views of both the Spanish and Moroccan coastlines (weather permitting). Please note that the absolute summit—often referred to as the "skyline"—is only accessible by smaller vehicles like taxis, and not by buses. The time spent at the Rock includes a guided visit with a local operator, featuring iconic stops like the monkey viewpoint and the St. Michael’s Cave. While this portion may feel brief, it is designed to fit within the schedule of a full-day tour from Seville, which includes transportation time. Additionally, Gibraltar is internationally known for its low prices on jewelry, watches, electronics, liquor, cosmetics, and perfumes. For this reason, we include free time during the visit, and many travelers truly appreciate the opportunity to explore the shopping areas on their own. We always aim to describe our itineraries transparently and provide a fulfilling experience within the logistical limits of a shared day trip. Still, we truly value your feedback and will take it into account to keep improving our service. Thank you again for joining us

Day Trip: Yup, worth it

Sean_H, Aug 2025
Fascinating place! Views beyond breathtaking. Cave light show certainly left an impression. Made friends with a very curious monkey. Only a short time there (4hrs?) but VERY high quality memory which speaks volumes beyond that.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for sharing your lovely review! 🌟 We’re so glad you enjoyed the breathtaking views, the unique cave light show, and your unexpected new monkey friend 🐒. Even though it was a short visit, it makes us very happy to know it left you with such a high-quality memory. We hope to see you again soon for more unforgettable moments! Warm regards,

This is a tough review to...

Taijh_W, Jul 2025
This is a tough review to write because I feel like I can’t rate the tour accurately because it’s 2 different companies. The tour started off out of Seville on a nice tour bus and a very nice tour guide. Half way through the 3 hour ride they pull off at a rest stop for snacks and bathrooms, then the bus drops you off at the border to go through customs. You walk through customs, then across the flight landing strip, then into the city at a pace of about half the speed of smell (maybe 2km/hr…. maybe.) until you get to a giant tourist trap where you have 2.5ish hours to shop/eat. If you want perfume, tobacco, or liquor, this is great for you. If you’re on the tour to see Gibraltor, no. This is where the hitch is, apparently the tour guide from Seville is not allowed to guide in Gibraltor, so they may or not accompany you when you’re handed off to a different tour company for the things you actually came to see. This is where the experience is ruined. We were loaded on a bus and raced around the rock so fast I’m surprised I don’t have whiplash (and I’m not exactly a slow driver myself). The tour guide and overhead recording give brief overviews of what’s appearing out the sides of the bus, but by the time they’re telling you, you’ve already passed it. You get 10 minutes at the Europa point, which in actuality is 7 minutes. Then you’re back on the raceway up the mountain to what you actually are taking a 6 hour round trip journey to see: the caves and monkeys…. Of which you get 20 MINUTES TOTAL to see. We were quite literally running out of the cave to make sure we got 5-10 minutes to (maybe) see monkeys, which we luckily did. Then you’re back in the Nascar death trap back to the city. It honestly felt like the driver/Gibraltor guide was annoyed at the group for existing, as if he was fitting us in between real tours. Then they drop you off right at the border (tires basically screeching) and don’t let the door hit you on your way out to a 3 hour ride back to Seville with the nice guide who can speak again. I realized on the way back that we actually spent more time at the rest stop than we did doing the thing we went there to do, since we stopped at the same rest stop for another 20 minutes. I went back to review the itinerary to make sure my complaining isn’t due to not reading the plan. The itinerary says 40 minutes on the rock of Gibraltor…. This was the rollercoaster ride around the rock, DURING WHICH the 20 minutes of St. Michaels Cave occurs, which is actually 5-10 minutes of cave time if you want to see any monkeys in 5-10 minutes. Tl;dr Don’t waste your time or money if you actually want to see Monkeys, St. Michaels Cave, or the Rock of Gibraltor (other than shopping).

Response from Host, Jul 2025

Dear guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience in Gibraltar did not meet your expectations, and we understand your frustration regarding the rushed pace and limited time spent at the key attractions. We want you to know that we take your feedback very seriously. We will be contacting the local tour company in Gibraltar to understand what might have caused the visit to feel so rushed on the day of your tour. This is not the experience we aim to provide, and we want to ensure it doesn’t happen again. That being said, we’re glad to hear that you found the guide on the Seville portion of the tour to be pleasant and that the journey there and back was enjoyable. As you mentioned, one of the main attractions in Gibraltar is indeed the opportunity for tax-free shopping, which is why we allocate a fair amount of free time for visitors to explore this area at their own pace. Many of our guests appreciate this time to purchase items such as perfumes, alcohol, and tobacco, which are significantly cheaper due to Gibraltar’s tax regulations. However, we completely understand that for some travelers, the primary focus is the sightseeing and natural landmarks. Your comments will help us better balance the itinerary to meet different expectations more effectively in the future. Again, we truly appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip in Spain. Warm regards,

Great trip

Efficient but Rushed Tour of Gibraltar with a Large Group

Ashley_D, Jun 2025
This is a large group bus tour with a long day of travel, so set expectations accordingly. The initial pickup was confusing—our bus arrived about 20 minutes late, and communication was limited. The guide on the way to Gibraltar was loud and sometimes hard to understand, even on the English tour. Be sure to bring your passport, as you’ll walk across the border and airfield into Gibraltar. Once inside, the smaller Gibraltar-based tour was more enjoyable, with fun and engaging local guides. Expect short stops at the main sights and only a couple of hours for lunch/shopping. Overall, the experience was decent, but felt rushed and a bit disorganized at times. Good for getting a quick overview of Gibraltar, but not ideal if you prefer more in-depth or small group experiences.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the initial confusion with the pickup and the delay — we understand how important timely communication is, and we are working to improve this aspect. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the local Gibraltar guides and the highlights of the tour, although we regret that some parts felt rushed or disorganized. Your comments about the guide’s volume and clarity have been noted, and we’ll address this to ensure a better experience in the future. Thank you also for reminding future guests about passport requirements — it’s crucial for crossing the border smoothly. We appreciate your honest review and hope to have the opportunity to provide a more seamless and in-depth experience for you next time. Greeting

Amazing trip to see Gibraltar

Tye_M, Jun 2025
Long day but well worth it to us. Picked up in Sevilla early in the morning and had a 2-3 hr drive down to Gibraltar. Quick stop for a break on the way down. Once there we unloaded from the bus on the Spanish side and walked through immigration/customs etc and then we walked across the runway in Gibraltar. This was crazy as planes would land right where you were walking. Obviously not while you were there as they stop all traffic before planes land or take off but felt like airport employee out there. Once in Gibraltar we had a good walk into town where we got the first two hours to shop and eat. Fish and chips were great and the shopping there is more cruise port like than souvenirs. Once done shopping we walked to the bus terminal and got on these smaller busses that took us up to see the caves, Africa and the monkeys (really Apes). I didn’t realize it but you don’t go All the way to the top of the rock, but through the many stops you had plenty of views across the Mediterranean into Africa. Then once done the little busses took us all the way back to the airport where we crossed again, went through customs/immigrations then back on the big bus back to Sevilla. Long 10-11 hr day but cool experience. I mean when else will you get to go to Gibraltar. Please be careful to know your country’s requirements to get into Gibraltar (the tour provides) as we had a few people who made that journey but were denied entry as they had no Visa to enter Gibraltar. They sat there for 4-5 hrs waiting on us to be done

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you so much for your thorough and thoughtful review! We're thrilled to hear that the day trip to Gibraltar was a memorable and worthwhile experience for you, despite the long journey. Walking across the airport runway is definitely one of those unforgettable moments — and we're glad you got to enjoy it! It’s great to know you made the most of your time in town, enjoyed the local fish and chips, and had a good balance of sightseeing and shopping. The views from the Rock and the encounter with the Barbary macaques truly make it a unique destination. We also appreciate your helpful note about visa requirements — it’s indeed very important for travelers to check entry regulations based on their nationality, and we always try to emphasize this in our pre-trip communications. Thank you once again for choosing us and for sharing your experience with such detail. We hope to welcome you again on another adventure soon! Warm regards,

Gibraltar trip

Nice trip to take plus I wanted to see the Gibraltar- saw a few monkeys up on the mountain as well so that was interesting. The mini bus driver was very funny and good at keeping the group on time and together. Nice that this particular trip picked and drop off close to the hotel which was good. I would recommend it to travelers while visiting Seville and ran out of things to see and do.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

A unique and beautiful experience. To be on top of the Rock and enjoy the fantastic view of two continents (Europe and Africa) together with Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. All in one picture! The cherry on the cake was the visit on the Gibraltar cave and monkeys encountered. Many thanks to our guide Petra - The trip was excellent organized and had a good balance and timings between activities. She was very professional. Book for this trip if you have a chance. You won’t regret.

It was a good experience and we are glad we went. The only downside was that there was more walking than we expected and we would have liked to have had more time in the cave. Our guide was excellent and it was very obvious that she enjoyed what she was doing and was very knowledgeable!

!The Wonderfull Gibraltar!

Eduardo_L, Apr 2025
My experience with my wife was wonderful, besides being able to know a spectacular place like Gibraltar. The Tourist Guide was wonderful, very cordial, helpful and above all knowledgeable about the subject, she always guided us in the best way, we are very grateful to her. Please keep, people like this make a tour more wonderful than expected.

Difficult to understand our tour guide

Vicki_P, Apr 2025
Loved seeing Gibraltar but wanted to see more of it like the Apes den area. We booked an English speaking guide and while technically she spoke English, she was very difficult to understand with a very thick accent. We felt that she definitely catered more to the Spanish speaking people in our group. Her explanations of the areas in Spanish would be 10 minutes and then in English just a few minutes. Other English speaking people in our group said the same thing. The driver/guide on Gibraltar was amazing-funny, informative and easy to understand.
