Honestly the best experience from my entire trip to Seville in Spain. We arrived at the tour bus location and were greeted by the nice people there and then we headed off on coach after to Camanito Del Ray. We were lucky enough to have Alejandro as our tour guide because he was extremely knowledgeable and well spoken at explaining the history and geographical relevance of every part of the tour. Honestly the whole thing from start to finish was really well put together.. the views are incredible and a must see if your close enough to get to see it.. I recommend it no matter what tour guide you get but Alejandro is top notch and really knows and cares about the experience and explains everything in full detail for people to understand… 10/10

Long walk before and after the actual attraction hike. The canyon hike is great. No walking stick or cane allowed.

Great experience. Insanely beautiful views. Tour guides were the best - from the bus ride to the hike.

Pros: An absolutely gorgeous hike and a "must do" for those wanting to escape the city and get some exercise. The guide provided by the park was excellent. Her love of the area was evident by her enthusiasm and spirit.
Cons: The bus ride was 2 1/2 hours each way so the day was very long. The two bus tour "guides" really didn't do much that a handout or linguistic bus driver could have done as well. My ticket said I would get water and a snack on the trip. I got neither. We stopped midway to the hike and were told there was a supermarket nearby for snacks. I couldn't find it and it seemed no one else did either. We were told there were snacks available at the start of the trip through a vending machine. It was broken. I went over 8 hours without food and got very hungry! The bus tour guides left us alone during the ride to and from the hike although I would have appreciated commentary about the passing towns and farms. Overall I'm not sure I would recommend this day trip from Seville.

I had an amazing time trekking at Caminito del Rey! I have met two other solo travelers and the funny tour guide, Pablo! These people made the experience more fun! Caminito del Rey won’t disappoint you, so I highly recommend that you book this tour!

Quite a bit of waiting time. The entire trip could have been done in 6.5 hours, including the 2-hour coach journey each way, instead of 8. 5 hours. When we reached the 1st rest stop, we waited for 40 mins to get to the start point for toilets and helmets. At the start point, there are so many groups queueing to start that it takes another 30 mins or so.
Other than that, the waiting/break times after the walk and en route back to Seville was fair.
The walk is very easy. Broken up into 3 parts and the guide (not the same as the guide from the activity provider) would describe the geographical features, engineering history and fauna you'll see in each section so you get breaks in between. Only the last section is where you have to walk on a see-through metal bridge -- apart from that, one typically would not have wobbly legs.
If you need food, bring your own. All vendors are just cashing in on bored/hungry/thirsty tourists and can't really cook.
Quite expensive if you consider the low cost of providing the activity. It is just payment for the coach travel, the accompanying guide, and entrance fees.

The Caminito del Rey itself was a very good experience. However, the write up on the Viator description clearly stated that, though the tour went Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, only on Sunday would there be a stop in Asuna. We intentionally chose Friday so we would do the caminito “in the morning” then lunch and back to Seville. Instead we did go to Asuna, then a lunch time at the Caminito site where we killed another 90 min before finally assembling with our tour leader for the hike. We had a limited time in Seville and so much time was wasted doing things we didn’t want to do. Please make the descriptions accurate! We would have sourced another tour company as there were several there doing half day trips, in order to shorten our excursion day.

Alistir was a fabulous guide. The hike was amazing and not over strenuous. It was a great day trip from Seville and would recommend

The hike itself was absolutely amazing. Maria our tour guide for that part was outstanding. That part I would rate 5 stars. Prior to that we had a different tour guide who gave us minimal information. He walked us around a town. Told us no information about what we were seeing and then brought us to a little bar for food and drinks. We were under the impression that this was where we were having lunch. The bar was so tiny and could not accommodate the amount of people on the tour and had very limited food options. Our next stop was Caminito de Rey. Back in the bus, an hour later we arrived at Caminito del Rey and were told to eat and drink before our hike. Again, the restaurant there could not accommodate the amount of people arriving on the tour buses and was turning people away. There was so much confusion regarding when we were having lunch and where. The two other tour guides to bring everyone on the hikes were late and the. We finally were able to go on our hike. Once we started on the hike, Maria saved the day. She was friendly, personable, and the hike was the whole reason for the excursion anyway. We forgot about the first half of the day. The views were stunning. If I could change the excursion, I would have the bus bring us right to the hike and skip the town and make this a shorter day.

First I want to say that Maria and the hike were a great part of the trip however the logistics and communication getting to and from the hike were not a great experience. First the stop in ousna (which the site says we would not go to because it was not a Sunday) needed to be thought through more. This could be a great part of the stop but all you do is walk through the town with a huge group without seeing a lot and little explanation of the town. Our guide barely talked to anyone outside of two girls which he appeared to know personally. Then when stopping for lunch we were told how important it was to eat and use the bathroom before the next stop because there would not be another chance. We only had about an hour to do this. There were not enough tables to sit everyone in the group and by the time we sat down with other people because they invited us, we only had 20 minutes to order and eat. The staff at the restaurant were also not friendly when trying to get food quickly. All this while the guide ordered food on his own and got to sit in a separate section since he knew the staff without making sure all on the tour were taken care of. This was not a good look. Also while rushing to use the bathroom at the restaurant which only had 1 women’s and 1 men’s stall, we were waiting around for an extra 20 mins before we actually left. Once we did get to the meeting point to start the hike there were a lot more available bathrooms which would have been more convenient to use. Lastly when ending the hike, since we were running behind the guide rushed us all to the bus even leaving some people behind which eventually caught up on there own. Overall logistically not a great experience and cannot recommend to others.

Booking a guided tour was the only last-minute way to get inside... Advice: Book your tickets online WELL IN ADVANCE FOR ALL SPANISH ATTRACTIONS! Tickets tend to be booked in spades by travel agencies who then re-package them into considerably more expensive guided tours.
On the positive side, we have walked through this gorge and took in its incredible beauty and the surroundings (an approximately 2-hour walk). The tour company was nice, they accommodated our request to pick us up right at the entrance, not at the official tour pick-up point in Seville, and the guide was upbeat, nice, and provided some additional background info on the path history, fauna, celebrity visitations, etc.
A highly recommended experience! (But you can read the story ahead of your visit, book online, and walk the path by yourselves at a fraction of the price if you book well in advance)!

The hike itself was unique and wonderful. The gorge is beautiful. But it was a long day when you go from Seville. You spend a lot of time on the bus. When we got to the trailhead area, we had to wait more than an hour before we started the hike. Too much down time. Would not have done it if I had read all the reviews and known ahead of time.
lisa_s, Oct 2025
The hike was excellent but to only provide one overpriced option for lunch was disappointing, other options should be made available
Chris_C, Jun 2025
The hike is breathtaking. Amazing. One of a kind. We have 3 kids one youngest 11 years old and she did great. It is very high. Hike is not technically difficult. About 4 miles. Always seemed safe. But very high. So glad we did it. The day is long. We left at 10 am and got back at 8:45 pm. Stopping in Osuna was a nice break and very enlightening. Spent about 90 minutes there. The entire day there is a bit too much downtime. Hike is about 2 to 2.5 hours. The park guide (not our tour guide) was a bit slow for being a park guide as far as hiking pace. Our tour guide Rebeca was fantastic. Very informative. Kept the entire day a lot of fun.

Waste of time. Whilst Caminito Del Rey is amazing, this tour takes way too long taking you to useless destinations/giving you way too much free time. Make the effort and do by yourself

The organizing tour guide wasn’t very good, she had to ask for directions multiple times in Osuna. Alex our hiking tour guide was amazing, very knowledgeable with great sense of humour.
David_V, Apr 2025
Hike was awesome and guide was very enthusiastic and entertaining. The hike was only a 2 hr hike but it was stretched into a full day. We spent too much time waiting to do the hike. We arrived at the trail head at noon and didn’t start the hike until 3:30 which was a half hour late from when it was scheduled to start. The town we stopped at was almost deserted. No shops were open and 1 restaurant was open.
Natasha_S, Apr 2025
Early pick up at 9am, three pick ups altogether. We were pick up two. Long drive with a stop for a quick drink, snack, using the facilities. Carlos our operator gave us lots of information about things as we drive past them. We then arrived at the location and had three hours to ourselves. We decided to have a small hike of our own up to some viewing points overlooking the reservoirs and ate in one of the restaurants overlooking the water. We then met back at agreed time and were taken through a tunnel in the mountain to the Caminito del Ray entrance. Safety talk and helmet provided. Three hour or so hike along the path. Stunning views and nice history provided by Jesus, our guide. He took photos of us at certain points and explained a lot of flora and fauna. Overall, 22,000 steps done but a fantastic day. Get home back to Seville quite late about 9pm.

Overrall the experience of Caminito Del Rey was great and made up for the other deficiencies with this tour. The tour took way longer than expected. Multiple unexpected stops including a stop for breakfast even though we had just left Seville after breakfast. Village stop along the way was nice but then more waiting once we got to Caminito del Rey. The walk itself did not start until 3.15pm. Return back was about 9.45pm
BrownlieL, Apr 2025
Long drive from Seville with a guide who gave little information. The local guide on the hike was excellent. Stunning walk.
Jill_d, Apr 2025
On time. Tour guide from Seville was good and the tour guide at El Caminito was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and full of great information.
Maria_D, Mar 2025
For hikers but not for the acrophobic and the faint of hearts. This is a once in a lifetime experience with breathtaking views and thrilling walkways on cliffs. Our guides, Antonio (Naturanda) and Claudia (Garganta) were both great.
Ivor_M, Feb 2025
A long day which involved a 2 hour bus journey each direction. However the coordination was well organised. The bus was clean and comfortable although no toilet onboard. The hike itself was gentle enough and the views were spectacular.
Elaine_L, Jan 2025
Great guide (louismi) - informative and responsible. Driver (lana) drove us all safely to and back. Caminito del Rey guide Alex made the hike fun and fact filled
TinyaWollweber, Jan 2025
At the beginning I was a bit sceptical as the main guide job was provided by external guides and the operator seemed to be just the shuttle service. But that is probably common practice here.
I am however very impressed with the total efficiency of the whole tour. The night before our tour guide Antonio Javier set up a WhatsApp group through which he provided all the information. Antonio himself is a very entertaining and fun guy. I'm especially grateful to him for the tips he posted on WhatsApp; thanks to him I had a wonderful evening at La Carboneria where I witnessed a mesmerising flamenco performance. In short - I'm highly satisfied and do highly recommend this tour host to anyone coming to Seville!
Steve_R, Jan 2025
The hike itself and stop in Osuna was great! Long time in the bus! Best to do this trip from Malaga but it was a tremendous time. Our guide Antonio Javier was funny and engaging and hats off to Lola for driving the bus in some pretty extreme roads with tight spots!
Jennifer_M, Dec 2024
Everything about this day was epic, but the ability to walk on a pathway through the mountains was incredible. It may be a once in a lifetime opportunity. The views are truly Epic. Our guide was Patricia and she did a wonderful job.
Joseph_M, Dec 2024
Complete waste of time. Only the last 15 mins of the trail is what you see from the pictures. More than 5+ hours of the day is just a bus ride, while another 2+ hours is walking through the boring town of Osuna through some random Olive trees trail to visit a stone quarry (yeah stone quarry). Better to visit if you really (Really) have nothing to do while staying in Malaga NOT from Seville.
kiwauna_c, Nov 2024
My favorite memory of Sevilla. I wanted to back out at the last minute but I glad i went. The hike was not bad at all.
Padraic_D, Nov 2024
Fantastic tour with Merce being our guide. Left the day having seen breathtaking views and learning lots! The only change I would suggest is not stopping for food on the way. There is no need for this and it wastes time. Would recommend the trip to anyone.
