Beautiful sunny day at Coto Donana and learned a lot about the park and it's significant challenges. Interesting spots to stop at with a number of the representative birds seen. Enjoyable, but would be improved for me by spending longer at some of the stops and a more nature focused group.

It really was a great day in all and good value for money. There was a change in start time which meant we had to get up very early. Miguel was great and Sonia the guide on the 4x4 bus was so knowledgeable and so passionate about wildlife and the ecology of this beautiful park. Did not see Lynx, but hey they are solitary and elusive. We saw 7 different species of heron, flamingos galore, eagles and much more. El Rocio is a bit strange, like something from a western, did not really like it, but if horses and religion are your thing then fill your boots (cowboy ones). Do go if you are interested in wildlife, particularly birds.

Fantastic day in the countryside - nothing too fast paced, a few stops, and some great stuff to see. Thanks to our super knowledgable guides Sergio & Drees , we spotted several Iberian lynx at the start of the tour.

This was a nice break from cathedrals and history and museums on our Spain trip. The wetlands are extensive, and we saw lots of birds (flamingos, spoonbills, even an eagle). Our guide Jose was very informative and shared lots of pictures with us. Unfortunately we did not see an Iberian lynx. If you can, sit up front or in the middle seats, as it was a little hard to hear in the back of the van. Note: the water level, and therefore the wildlife, in the wetlands varies considerably as the seasons change. We were there while things were wet and lush and green, it dries out late i the year - plan accordingly.

Good morning Joe,
Thank you for your review over your tour to Doñana. We are very happy to kno that you enjoyed it even if you don't see an iberian lynx.
We really hope to see you again for more adventures.
Best regards,
The Naturanda team

The trip to Doñana National Park was not quite how I imagined it to be. We saw plenty of deer, four to be exact, and a wild boar, the only problem being that they were all dead. Apparently they had drowned during last week's flooding and we could marvel at their bloated corpses gently rocking in the waves by the fenced roadside. We did see several flocks of live flamingos and nesting storks (also alive), and our driver even managed to catch a Montpellier snake. The drive through the park was rather uncomfortable due to the bad condition of the roads. My sense of discomfort was aggravated by a lack of airconditioning. The driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable but did not seem too keen on interacting with us. Now I don't mind if a tour guide prefers to keep to himself, but coupled with a lack of mammals and a lacklustre landscape I was repeatedly asking myself what had possessed me to book this tour. Don't get me started on El Rocio. This place is a fever dream of a Spanish town, dusty and full of religious fanatics.
Bird afficionados will enjoy this tour though.

Our tour guide Miguel was fantastic. He worked so hard to find interesting things for us to see despite the horrendous weather and inability (due to flooding) to get to all the places that would have provided the most interesting viewing of wildlife. So 5 stars for that part. However, I felt that Naturanda should have canceled the tour that day because they already knew of the road closures and quite frankly, in hindsight it seemed almost dangerous to go out there where we did. There was dangerous flooding throughout the area. We did safely get back to Seville but it was an extra long day without seeing much of anything.

Called off because or rain. They offered Gibraltar instead. Poured down in Gibraltar... not their fault!
Response from Host, Mar 2025
Hello Patrick, we're really sorry about the weather last day. Please, consider to change the review grade because it punishes us a lot for something we could not control. Best regards from Seville

We had one of the few rainy days in Seville. However José did a great job to find wildlife no matter the weather

We had an amazing time. I highly recommend Diego as a tour guide for any of your events. He was great in every way made us feel welcome and comfortable told us a lot of history about everything. Thank you, Diego.

Lovely trip to Doñana and the surrounding area. Our guide José was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and area, and amazing at spotting and identifying birds. He took some great photos which he shared with us the same day. We had opportunity to have a coffee and snacks at the centre, and learn more about Doñana.

A perfect break from our week-long Seville visit. Excellent guides, beautiful scenery. The long day just flew by.
Karen_K, Feb 2024
Vehicle in main park was uncomfortable. We couldn't hear the guide in the second and third rows of van. She should have had a headset with a microphone. We probably heard every 5 words of her commentary. That was very disappointing. I wish that part of the tour was shorter and we could have spent more time in the town. We loved the beach part of the tour and would have liked to spend more time there. We also loved the marsh part of the the tour. They was both very interesting. Our guide for the beach and marsh was great. Very informative and interesting.
Margaret_M, Feb 2024
Loved the Nature, the guide was informed and enthusiastic. We saw and walked thru many visual experiences. It as good to know that there is a sanctuary for birds on their migration from Africa to northern Europe. We saw many varieties of fowl, land and water, and many acres of protected land.

I took a tour with Viator about 5 years ago and it was very good as it included a tour inside Donana National Park for a few hours, on a special vehicle, visiting the marshlands, etc. This time, we paid more and did not even go inside the park. It was an extremely disappointing experience and I would not recommend this trip to anyone. The local firm was Naturanda Reservas. The guide was very friendly but did not take us inside the park.
Response from Host, Feb 2024
Hello
Our tour go inside the park, due to the flooding we can´t go inside some areas because are dangerous and we can ´t swim

Our guide Ramon told us so much about the history of the area, the wildlife, the plants and trees. It was a really enjoyable interesting trip. Well thought out itinerary; marshes, woods, sand dunes and breaks for coffee & lunch. Would highly recommend.
Vlad_H, Nov 2023
Very good job by our guide Ramon who had to juggle between the two of us(English) and the rest of the group(Spanish). I expected less translations; but he was very nice and kept us in the loop all the time.
The place itself is very beautiful; with some very spectacular parts.
all in all, a very fine day

The guide was an excellent naturalist with a special interest in birding. I highly recommend this day trip.
Alan_P, Oct 2023
This was a fantastic tour, and was a really great surprise! I didn’t expect to go on safari in southern Spain and see so many incredible animals and sights.
Ramon was a real expert, and seemed to be able to spot any creature from the car, no matter how small. He was able to give us very useful and interesting information and his English is perfect.
The town of El Rocio was also a hidden gem - a totally unique experience into Spain that we were not expecting.
We saw deer, flamingoes, beetles, spoonbills, ibises, Iberian magpies and a mongoose.
I would highly recommend this tour!
Ann_S, Oct 2023
The whole experience was wonderful. We enjoyed the walks in nature and the sand dunes were beautiful. The flamingos and the western town were a really fabulous surprise. The guide was fun, and knowledgeable about the whole area. Everything was great.
Gerlinde_S, Oct 2023
We booked a tour to the national park Donana. In a comfortable car with only four more guests soon after sunrise we arrived at the bird watching spots and saw lots of different birds. Our driver and guide Jose was very attentive, knowledgeable and patient, so we were able to take many photos in the best light. On the onward journey we encountered large groups of deer and several wild cows. After a coffeestop in El Rocio, which was very crowded, we took a stroll through the dunes, after lunch a walk through a beautiful forrest concluded an amazing day. Only two hours after our return to the city, Jose sent several great pictures he had taken on our tour. Many thanks to Jose, who guided us with patience and enthusiasm.

The knowledge and courtesy of the guide, Ramon, were excellent. The tour sampled a wide variety of habitats.
Lori_L, May 2023
Our guide, Ramon, was a true naturalist and passionate environmentalist. He also navigated a bilingual group smoothly and diplomatically.

Flamingoes was missing and a was hoping to see more animals. But ok
Visit at the beach after, was brilliant.
Very nice guides
Ian_M, May 2022
Bouncing around in the back of a landrover unable to see much. Seatbelt broken. Offered binoculars - focus broken. Tour supposedly for English speakers but guide’s English was extremely poor. Saw very little of interest on first two thirds of your. Improved when we finally got to wetlands where there were some interesting birds.

Thank you very much for your feedback, it is very important to us. yf.

Had a really lovely day. Sergio our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us time to stop when we wanted to. He went out of his way to make sure we saw a Linx and took us to beautiful restaurant for lunch. Saw so much that we wouldn’t have on our own. It’s a great way to see a lot in one day without feeling rushed.

Guide excellent.
Viator over promise. It's not a 4 by 4 tour. Also it's not collection from your hotel.
