The DMZ is a must visit if you are in Seoul! Take the tram over the river to the other side which almost feels unreal and a thrill that comes from being so close to North Korea! The stop at the underground tunnel was a highlight so you will get your money’s worth!

Lina was absolutely fantastic! She was super friendly from the start and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. What really stood out was the depth of her historical knowledge, she didn’t just share facts, she gave rich background and context that made everything come alive.

Be ready for a fitness challenge. The hike, and I mean HIKE, to the red bridge is not for the faint of heart of those in not so great shape. They give you a limited time, so, you have to hoof it up this steep hillside to the top, where then you have a few minutes to get across the wobbly bridge, then back. They need about another 30 minutes to do this better, otherwise you are moving at a pretty quick pace to get up the deer trail, across, then back. Oh and other busses with tourists are there too. NEXT: The gondola, Peace Park. This place is nice, but again, no freaking time to spend looking around. The gondola is a waste. You get up in the air, but for us it was foggy, so you don’t see much. They also don’t let you photograph, which is kind of dumb, because this isn’t giving away troop locations. Meh. More history of the site, the bridge etc would have been better. NEXT: Third Tunnel Tour. They prep you by telling you a tourist DIED doing this tour. Nice. Iniside they had pictures posted of people being carried out on stretchers. Brilliant. I went down the 11% grade - which means you have to go back up it. Not fun. Finally the lunch and the Ginseng sales pitch. I was not happy the tour people made this obvious kickback sales pitch for you to buy their product. It was almost comical how obvious it was.

I’m so glad I did this tour. It was very interesting. I learned a lot and am in awe of the South Korean people and the optimism for a reunified Korea. The driver was excellent too. However, I think what made it one of the best days of my holiday in Korea was Nancy’s indomitable spirit and unbridled enthusiasm for life, her job & Korea. Her passionate personality made us all enjoy the day so much. She is now number one of my top two favourite tour guides ever. Team Nancy forever!!!

The guide was excellent! Her insight and communication were next to none! One of the best we've had! We learned so much and had fun doing it. The tour went very smooth, visiting the DMZ hi-lites. Very little wasted time at tourist souvenir shops. The weather was rainy but it did not detract from our visit. I would highly recommend this tour.

Camp Go-Go is very fluent in english, he explains everything so well. It was such a fun but challenging experience. Unfortunately you can’t take photos inside the DMZ tunnel for obvious reasons.. oh boy the tunnel! I was super shocked how deep is it, getting up and down was an exhilarating experience! If you love hiking i recommend this tour! Love the authentic korean food experience… A+ for the soybean ice cream!! It’s a learning experience too! Thumbs up👍🏻

Ray, our tour guide was top notch! Full of life and energy and enthusiasm. The tour lasts roughly 7 hours and foreigners visiting Korea get to also enjoy the views of rural Korea when transiting to the DMZ and back. The 3rd tunnel is amazing. The history is fascinating. Lots of food, resteraunts and cafes available for choice on all stops with souvenirs. Get great views of North Korean territory from the observatory :)

Later start than most of the tours, good communication and fun tour guide Hana.
Lots of information and a good tour of the DMZ. No food stop as such so bring some snacks, you can buy food at the stops but it's quite fast paced. The tunnel was very hard so not for the infirm or unfit. Long walk 250m or so, down a 20° slope then 250m or do in a 5ft high tunnel to then return same route. I managed it as a 62yr old 5ft 3in female but was very challenging.
Lucky with the weather,we had a fab day out. Left at 9.30am return by 4pm.

Excellent tour with details. Our tour guide Kelly was knowledgeable and seemed passionate in her job. They picked us and dropped us off at the right time. Because the morning tour starting at 7am was a bit early for my kid, they accomodated us in the 930am tour which I appreciate.
The only thing for my 4 stars instead of 5 is that the tour on Viator says "no shopping" but yet they stopped at the last stop for 30 mins for people to shop from one store at the unification village.

Exactly what I expected.
Our tour guide Henry was awesome. He was knowledgeable and attentive. Looked after the whole group and knew exactly was missing/late. He even taught us some Korean words. It was a long day full of exploring.

I’ve been on many one day tours. This was not good. It was cheap and now I know why. Lots of shopping when it was sold as no shopping. Not really much to see at each location. Disappointing.

It was so snowy - we could not do the DMZ or JSA tour. We were offered the cable car and the Korean War Museum. Not much you can do.

Sign up was NOT as advertised ( no hotel pick up) meeting places changed several times before date. Sent questions that were never answered. Pick up was awful. Told to be at meet up point by 950. Look for a red bus don’t be late. We were there a red bus labeled VIP DMZ bus appeared. Tour leader was RUDE. Not on her list. I had paperwork she ignored me, I had to stalk her as I had tickets printed. Finally she called and we were told on a different bus. ( that arrived after 10 and was NOT a red bus). Excursion was good. You walk thru a tunnel but do not get near border. Not really as advertised. 3 stars is generous. Tour leader was ok. Thou a bus full of people and she began talking about site before those on the back of the bus were even off the bus. Not like we could have gotten off bus any faster. Feel like those in the back of the bus were short changed. I’d recommend the excursion but not with VIP tpurs. Many others offer this same trip

This was a great experience. Our tour guide was super friendly and knowledgeable on so many faves of the Korean dynasty and culture. We were able to visit a few places that had been rebuilt after several burnings. This was a tour you won’t want to pass on.
