This tour is a must for tourists! Our tour guide, Nancy, was so personable and knowledgeable! She was an absolute delight that gave the tour so much pep and fun, and her enthusiasm was contagious! Today we took a tour out to the DMZ with Crystal as our guide. We arrived early at the scheduled meeting point and hadnât realised that there would be so very many coaches departing from that same point and all doing the same tour. All the guides had clipboards with lists of names on them, and each had people clamouring round to see if their name was on the list. The atmosphere was somewhat chaotic, but in the end we did find our guide and the tour did depart on time. Crystal was pleasant, informative and a good manager of both time and such a large group. On the outward journey she gave a good historical overview of the circumstances leading up to the war and the establishment of the DMZ as we see it today. We learned a lot - the weather at the observation point was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Overall it was good the tour was well organised our tour guide Alex was great he comes across as someone who would like to exceed expectationsâŠ. Earlier start than advertised (only 1/2hr), comfortable coach, well organised and never seemed too busy at any of the venues. Great flexibility with the schedule as a foggy start to the day, so they reversed the itinerary so that it cleared before we got to the observation tower over the DMZ. Plenty to see of the memorials at the peace park if you don't want to do the gondola.
Additional commentary on the life of North Koreans, and more time in the DMZ village (45 mins too little for lunch, facilities, garden, and shop) would be my only recommendations to improve things. Nancy was fabulous as a guide.

My favourite parts of the tour were the train ride from Imjingang to Dorasan, and the observatory where we were able to see North Korea. Our tour guide Emily made the trip very smooth and informative. She gave us wonderful information on our way to the first stop and gave helpful intro lessons at each stop, balancing well historical information as well as practical and cultural information such as recommendations about souvenirs that might be appealing at each stop as well as sites to visit at each stop. In this way, she made the tour relevant to everyone - allowing us to utilize the free time we had at each stop in the way that was most appealing to each visitor. We also had a perfect amount of time at each stop.

This was the best tour of the DMZ - Crystal is a brilliant guide. Very knowledgeable and provided a lot of information about Korean history. The tour itself was very good - well organised and plenty of time to see everything. Top tip: make sure your hard hat is fastened securely as anyone over 6ft will bump their head at least once in the tunnel.
