This is a great tour for getting to understand the Azorean culture. It is small, informative, good food and a great host. Furnas at night is the way to go. The springs are hot and enjoyable in the evening air.

Paulo was fabulous. We had the best time with him. He knows everything about the Açores. We loved the dinner and the thermal baths as well. It was well worth the money to learn more about this place from someone who is so kind and accommodating; the van was comfortable. It was a great night!

we enjoyed this evening tremendously--the cozida dinner was delicious and the hot springs at night were wonderful! our guide so was friendly, accomodating and informative--plus he was a very good driver!

Paolo was excellent tour guide. He explained Furnas thermal pools and Natural calderas. He also explained the azore culture and islands and the local food we are at dinner. The thermal pools at Furnas were filled with sexy people at nighttime. Recommend this nighttime experience

The baths are lovely (a most) and the dinner was great. However you are not getting a reserved spot for the baths with this purchase. We showed up and there was a long line. Instead of getting the 1.5 hours in the baths (which we expected), we only got about 45 minutes because they close at 11:00pm. We waited in line with our guide and we’re not permitted to enter until 10:00pm. Others behind us waited longer. Please do dinner then go to the baths immediately rather than walk Furnas to ensure you have the full time. We were unaware that we would not have the full time (as we followed the guide).

Hello Sean, I would kindly ask you to reconsider the evaluation that you gave in your review because it is insulting towards our efforts to provide the best experience despite of being the high season which poses obstacles that are beyond our control.
Not to mention that you arrived late after we requested a specific timetable so we could be earlier at our destination and delaying other clients pickups.
There is no mention of the bath time on the tour description. Despite that normally we have 1h30m available for our bad luck there was an abnormal queue on this particular day but we have no promises before you book the tour.
I am glad you enjoyed the dinner and the hot springs but the 2 stars review as "bad" sounds incoherent since you complimented and you had the whole experience anyways.

Our little group of seven thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Furnas, the traditional cozido dinner and the highlight which was the visit to the thermal baths. I loved how well everything was organized and our guide Paulo was engaging and eager to share his knowledge of the history and traditions of the town. The thermal baths in Furnas at night were just magic. Great mix of locals and tourists.

Paulo was a fun guide who had a good mix of humor and knowledge. We went to a small restaurant in Furnas for dinner, followed up with the thermal baths. The baths! OMG THE BATHS!!!! Absolutely wonderful! If I had these within an hour of me I would be there every day! This was the perfect antidote following a day of travel on the airplane and 4 1/2 hours walking around Ponta Delgada in the morning.
