A beautiful way to see the island! Highly recommend this quick 3-hour tour to hike the volcano (do not wear flip flops!) & swim in the hot springs. We hiked the volcano but didn’t swim because it was a chilly day but loved seeing the sights on the boat. The crew was fantastic. The transfer from Oia to the port was hugely helpful! Ensure you check the Viator & WhatsApp for communication from the company about your transfer! A 10/10 experience!

Great boat ride with a good hike to the volcano. We did not swim because it was cool and raining on the tour.

Beautiful boat ride. Friendly staff. Volcano hike is challenging but you can choose how far you go. Swim was easy although water was chilly until you got to hot spring part. Really enjoyed the boat ride and seeing Santorini from the water. Great restaurants in old port when you get off boat.

Good place to go, but don’t need a tour or a tour guide as such. 30€ per person for a short hop to the island and then pay 5€ per person to climb the volcano is expensive. Also, to reach you have to take a cable car which is 10€ one way which is insane.

Our family really enjoyed this tour! The ride on the boat itself was a highlight. The hike to the top of the volcano provided some breathtaking views of Santorini! The hike wasn’t easy but worth every step. While not every member of our bunch swam at the hot springs, the two who did absolutely loved it.

Great experience to swim in the hot spring, real fun and then go on a hike to see the volcano. Absolutely recommend, loved it😊
Nancy_C, Apr 2026
Hot springs are minimally luke warm, in an area openly mixing with ocean water. There is only one bathroom per gender on the boat to change back into clothes after swimming. The volcano hike was pretty but not very exciting, has one small steam vent and volcanic rock but otherwise didn’t feel much like a volcano.

You don’t get very long at the hot springs and you do the hot springs before the volcano hike. There is 1 bathroom for males and 1 bathroom for females so you can change after but the line was long for each. The hot springs are definitely warmer than the water by the boat but not hot. I am not an excellent swimmer but I did just fine. They give you a pool noodle if you want it. There is also the option to jump into the water or climb down the ladder into the water. I am very fearful of large bodies of water and I did just fine.

Nice hike to volcano mountain. The day we went weather was cloudy, perfectly helped to do the hike.
Not a swimmer so I didn’t do hot spring.

Wonderful experience! I recommend going down by cable car and riding up on a donkey to enjoy the full experience.

It was awesome! November is definitely the best time to be on the caldera. Not hot, which is great! The trip was well organized and we had lots of fun!
Bernie_B, Nov 2025
Exactly as advertised. A great way to experience the natural beauty of Santorini’s volcano with a very engaging guide.
Karen_D, Nov 2025
Great value! Good hike and views at the volcano, and the captain’s explanations were informative and entertaining. We were there mid-November, so the hot springs were not even warm, but refreshing swim and appreciated the noodle.

The boat was great. The crew was awesome. Three hour experience in this price point is definitely worth it. Boat has drinks and snacks for purchase. Only drawback is, there are always one or two people who are always late (20minutes!!) and the rest of the people on the boat has to suffer. We had another experience lined up after this one and because of the same two couples who were late, we were running behind. I understand the boat crew doesn’t want to leave them behind but sometimes it’s necessary.

This was a very well organised informative and fun 3 hour boat / hike and swim trip. 30e each is not expensive for what you get - but people on a budget need to factor in the cable car costs. We loved it. The boat was great and the staff were helpful and friendly. We read the 1 star reviews before we booked and they were by people who had not read or thought before they set off. Things like it being too hot (in Greece in summer, really?!) or wanting a discount because they didn't want the swim bit (as if that's a thing). It was a great way to see the beauty of the island from a different angle.

Hot springs were tepid rather than hot. Reasonably long swim off boat. Volcano hike requires a good level of fitness and not suitable for anyone with limited mobility.
Esther_C, Oct 2025
The tour was not worth it. Having to pay double trip for cable car as well to get into the volcano park makes tour more expensive. The experience is not what was expected. During the tour there is minimal information and on the hot springs the water was not warm or hot at all.
Robin_P, Oct 2025
Relatively short boat stages.
Interesting tour to see and understand the geography/geology of Santorini and the surrounding little islands.
Susan_S, Oct 2025
This was a great 3 hour boat excursion. Tour guide explained everything very well. I would recommend.
Elena_P, Oct 2025
It was a really good experience, but we expected a longer guided tour. The boat was really nice and clean.
Jerry_G, Oct 2025
Wasn't able to attend and there is no flexibility or refund.
I go to the cable cars but there was at least one cruise ship group of passengers that we already in line... by the time we reached the front the boat had already set sail per port rules based on email sent to me when I emailed asking for a bit of time due the line!
BrianHarris, Oct 2025
Amazing tour. We had a great staff and they made sure that everyone was safe and that no one unintentionally placed themselves in harms way. The tour was perfect and we met great people on it.
Carol_P, Oct 2025
Very organized. Lovely boat, enjoyed the volcano and the swim in the hot springs crew were great. Helped everyone in and off the boat.
Stuart_D, Oct 2025
An amazing trip with a lovely guide. Great geology of the volcanic islands of Nea Kammeni and Palaia Kammeni.
Jen_H, Oct 2025
The tour guide and boat was easy to find in the old harbour. The tour left promptly as expected. The crossing over to the volcanic island was beautiful. Once on the island we were given plenty of time to look around. There is a fair bit of uphill and downhill walking. The views from the top were stunning. The trip over to the hot springs was very choppy but worth the visit. It was fun jumping off the boat into the sea and feeling the difference in water temperature as you swim into the thermal waters. All in all a great few hours spent
Sarah_S, Sep 2025
Trail to volcano is quite strenuous! Views are incredible and swimming to hot springs (actually just warm) was great.
Tamara_G, Sep 2025
The communication prior to the tour was good. The boat was very nice with plenty of shade. It was a large group which stopped at the volcano first. The tour guide provided very limited information and only walked a short way up the volcano with the group. After that we explored it on our own with the signs to indicate which crater was still active, etc. afterward we went to the hot springs which were not as impressive as imagined. Overall the tour was fine but don’t expect too much in terms of history and information. The 5 euro to get onto the volcano is also not included in the ticket price.
Sandra_R, Sep 2025
It's a lot of walking uphill to the top of the volcano. Make sure you wear your tennis shoes. It does have beautiful views. The hot springs we're just tepid in September but everyone seemed to enjoy it
Joanne_D, Sep 2025
We had a short time but wanted some time on the water. This 3-hour sail met our needs perfectly. The sail, hike and swim were a great experience.
Anonymous, Sep 2025
As described, 3 hours long and only the best concentrated experience. The sea was calm so everything was perfect.
Carrie_C, Sep 2025
The whole reason for booking is for the hot springs and still had to pay to get through the gate to the volcano separate. Didn't go to the hot springs due to rough waters. Should have given us a choice to still go or get reimbursed and not go. I basically paid $99 for a boat ride with no drinks. Wish I was given a choice. I am super disappointed for wasting all the time and money on the cable car too. Will never do it again as they lost my trust now.
