Wineries Covered on This Tour This tour visits three Santorini wineries in total: Santo Winery – included on every tour One additional winery – chosen from: Estate Argyros, Gaia Winery, Gavalas Winery, Anhydrous Winery, or Sigalas Winery - choice of operator. 2. Sunset Views Arrangements: The Sunset Tour option (not the Morning Tour option) includes views of the Santorini Sunset from the Santo Wines winery. There is no need for any seating arrangements, the tour operator offers to all guests prime tables for seating with views of the sunset automatically, all guests will be treated the same and with the same view - there are no better or worse tables. Upon purchasing the sunset tour option online, you will enjoy views of the sunset from the Santo Wines winery, along side wine tastings and local tapas. You will watch the FULL SUNSET and leave the winery 15 minutes approx after sunset. The guides of the tour will take pictures of you and/or your partner/family/friends during the sunset for free.
What To Expect
Both the day and sunset tour include hotel pickup and drop-off. The order in which you visit the three wineries depends on the tour you choose.
Day Tour: Meet your guide and relax on the journey to the island’s wine estates. Admire the countryside as you go, and chat with your guide about winemaking in Santorini and the area’s unique viticulture.
Santorini's volcanic soils produce wine that is rich in minerals with light-flavored notes. The island’s grapes are grown in baskets that are set close to the soil—an act that helps retain moisture from rain.
Tour the cellars of each wine estate, and follow the production process from harvesting the grapes through to maturing the wine. Walk with your guide around one of the estate’s volcanic vineyards, and sip on 12 different varieties of the island wine, including vinsanto and assyrtiko. Nibbles such as olives, bread, and cheese are also included.
Sunset Tour: Enjoy the tour as described above, but arrive at your last wine estate, the renowned Santo Wines, in time to watch the sun set. Make your way to the open terrace for an alfresco wine tasting and a plate of tapas with views of the caldera islands and the Aegean Sea before you return to your hotel.

- The tour includes snacks such as local cheese and cold-cuts served alongside wine-tastings at the wineries, not a full lunch or dinner. However keep in mind that the snacks served during tour will be adequate for the time-frame the tour lasts and maybe beyond.
- This is an only adults tour, minors-kids are not allowed to participate due to the nature of the event (alcohol consumption).

Such a great experience! Gionnis was an excellent guide! He was informative and entertaining! The wineries and tastings were also very good. We enjoyed meeting and talking to other guests on the tour. And of course the sunset was the best highlight of all! We were picked up and dropped off right back at our hotel. Couldn't have been easier. Would 100% do this tour again and definitely recommend it!

This was a really excellent tour to three distinct Santorini wineries. Giannis was a very affable and fun host who got a very diverse group (about 10) getting into the mood and talking to each other. Be aware that it is a 4 hour commitment but well worth it. The motor coach was luxe and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

We had a lot of fun visiting the different wineries, and Elena was a great guide! We stared by going to a vineyard, which is way different than what is traditional, then made our way to 3 different wineries.

You definitely try an array of wines, but majority of the wines are white. You get plenty of food, so do not eat before or you won’t get the full experience.

Marina was a wonderful host! She is very knowledgeable about the wine and the history of Santorini. Not to mention she is so friendly and fun to spend the day with! We tasted many wonderful wines of different varietals from 3 different wineries. I loved that we were able to visit a smaller, family run winery and not just big commercial ones. It was cloudy and windy during our tour, so we didn’t get to enjoy the sunset, but I could tell that the view would be incredible from Santo wines!

Marina made the tour very informative and the fact that she was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot. She was extremely friendly and interactive. Without her expertise at all would not have been the same and she was great fun. Highly recommend the tour if it was with her.

We had a great tour with Elena, it was just us and another couple so we all had time to get to know each other which made it even more fun. We went to 3 wineries, all the wine was great plus lots of snacks. Our last stop was Santos Winery where we enjoyed our wines with the sunset. Elena is a great guide, very knowledgeable and made it a wonderful day.

We had an awesome experience at the 3 wineries! Elena was a wonderful host, and explained the history and information of each individual wine well. Our favorite winery was the second stop (Gavalas Winery) it was more traditional, and we really enjoyed their wine. Santo Wines has the best scenic areas, while Estate Argyros had beautiful views of their vineyards. A must-do activity while you’re in Santorini!

I was visiting with my mom from Washington state. We visited three great wineries. Lots of food and great wine. Our driver and hostess Elena was so sweet, helpful and educated about all the wineries, as well as being a great tour/ historical guide! We loved the first winery, Estate Argyros. We felt they had the best wine. Sonto Wines had the best view and the best cheese plate/charcuterie. Highly recommended!

Kristina provided some valuable insights into the unique wine production processes and challenges of Santorini. Clearly knowledgeable in wine production, but with added humour and fun.

Loved the entire experience! 3 wineries, 12 wines, and LOTS of charcuterie/food! Our guide Elena was fantastic! Bubbly, sweet and extremely knowledgeable about wines and Santorini. The only negative was miscommunication from the excursion company to Viator. The emails we received from Viator stated we would be picked up at 1pm and the tour would last for 4 hours. Instead, after contacting the tour company directly, they said we were being picked up at 2:20pm as they had other pick up stops. It would have been nice for the tour company to inform Viator, and then us, that the pick up time had changed.
*If you plan to visit Santorini, plan for wait times up the hill to be 1-2 hours depending on the time of year you come to visit.

Our local guide, Angelo is a real people person with a great sense of humour. He's outgoing and great at putting people at ease and getting them to participate fully to get the most out of the experience. He was very punctual and had a good understanding of wine and wine parings. The three wineries we visited provided a good sampling of the area's wine making capabilities. The foods matched up delightfully with the wines, and there was plenty to go around. The sunset view from Santos Winery was exquisite, and Angelo made it memorable, offering to photograph each couple from a few different angles. It was a very fun experience and we would highly recommend it. Good value!

Great tour today with Kristine. It was a lovely visiting the three vineyards and tasting the various wines. The accompanying food was delicious too. Kristine was a friendly and knowledgeable host which also added to the experience.

Our driver and tour guide (Elena) was excellent and she was very knowledgeable on the history of the wineries and the process of making the various wines ... as well as being very friendly and approachable. The cheeses and snacks accompanying the wines were delicious (don't make dinner reservations because you will have no room for more food after the tour). The location where we were taken to watch the sunset was breathtaking. All in all, it was a very enjoyable 5 hour tour. Highly recommended.
