Sunset Views Arrangements: The Sunset Tour option (not the Morning Tour option) includes views of the Santorini Sunset from the Santo Wines winery. There is no need for any seating arrangements, the tour operator offers to all guests prime tables for seating with views of the sunset automatically, all guests will be treated the same and with the same view - there are no better or worse tables. Upon purchasing the sunset tour option online, you will enjoy views of the sunset from the Santo Wines winery, along side wine tastings and local tapas. You will watch the FULL SUNSET and leave the winery 15 minutes approx after sunset. The guides of the tour will take pictures of you and/or your partner/family/friends during the sunset for free.
What To Expect
Both the day and sunset tour include hotel pickup and drop-off. The order in which you visit the three wineries depends on the tour you choose.
Day Tour: Meet your guide and relax on the journey to the island’s wine estates. Admire the countryside as you go, and chat with your guide about winemaking in Santorini and the area’s unique viticulture.
Santorini's volcanic soils produce wine that is rich in minerals with light-flavored notes. The island’s grapes are grown in baskets that are set close to the soil—an act that helps retain moisture from rain.
Tour the cellars of each wine estate, and follow the production process from harvesting the grapes through to maturing the wine. Walk with your guide around one of the estate’s volcanic vineyards, and sip on 12 different varieties of the island wine, including vinsanto and assyrtiko. Nibbles such as olives, bread, and cheese are also included.
Sunset Tour: Enjoy the tour as described above, but arrive at your last wine estate, the renowned Santo Wines, in time to watch the sun set. Make your way to the open terrace for an alfresco wine tasting and a plate of tapas with views of the caldera islands and the Aegean Sea before you return to your hotel.

Such a great experience! Gionnis was an excellent guide! He was informative and entertaining! The wineries and tastings were also very good. We enjoyed meeting and talking to other guests on the tour. And of course the sunset was the best highlight of all! We were picked up and dropped off right back at our hotel. Couldn't have been easier. Would 100% do this tour again and definitely recommend it!

We had the absolute best time with Panos! He is a true expert, making Santorini’s volcanic soil and ancient wine history incredibly engaging. The venues were absolutely gorgeous, and the local wines were delicious. Highly recommend!

You get to travel around the wineries of Santorini, learn about their wine, and share in the experience with others. The conversations were fun, and our tour guide Panos gave a thoughtful and insightful tour. The accompanying charcuterie with the wine was delicious and complements the wine well. Not to mention a beautiful sunset view at the end to top it off. Plus, the pick up and drop off option was fantastic.

This was a very poor tour. Premium pricing for a very standard wine tasting and tapas. Do it yourself would be so much more effective.

Thank you for the feedback, John, I'm sorry to hear that this experience did not meet your expectations. I'd gently push back on "poor" and "standard," though.
Your 4-Hour small-group experience included a private wine expert as your guide, twelve wines from Santorini and across Greece with premium labels among them, and a reserved oceanfront table at Santo Winery timed for sunset — not a seat a visitor can readily arrange alone at that hour.
The wines themselves are the part I'd most like to defend. Santorini's vines are ungrafted — they grow on their own roots, as all vines did before phylloxera swept Europe in the 1800s. The average vine here is over seventy years old. Whatever else you take from the day, what was in your glass has become genuinely rare, and our guide's job is to make sure guests understand why while they're tasting it.
That day your guide served thirteen bottles of wine across the flight, and at roughly €40 a bottle that is around €500 of wine on the table, before the guide, the transfers, the tapas or the sunset booking are counted.
The ticket is sold for just €150 per per person, at the operator's website.
I'll leave the arithmetic there.
Layered on top is the service: door-to-door collection from your hotel or airbnb, private transport for the full day, pre-arranged access and hosted tastings at multiple estates, and a dedicated expert guide for the entire experience — not a ticket and a map, but a curated day with everything handled for you.

This was a unique experience in Santorini. Not only did we get to sample some local wines, we also got to see a side of the island that we otherwise would have missed. The tapas made a nice appetizer for us. (We only ate a light dinner after the tour.) The highlight was definite sunset view from the final stop. If you are a wine lover, this tour is a great addition to your Santorini itinerary!

This was a wonderful experience. Our driver/guide was so knowledgeable and helpful about all the wines and helped us to understand what we liked and did not like. She showed us how to properly taste the different wines and enjoy the experience. Santorini wines are truly one of a kind. We learned about each winery and on our trip visited the oldest winery in Santorini. Each winery we were served snacks and never felt hungry. Ending the night with sunset at Santo Wines was beautiful with amazing views. Pick up and drop off were timely and made it very convenient. The wine tour was certainly worth it.

The 3 wineries were all fantastic and learning about the history and type of wine we got to try was fantastic.
The tapas they put on over the 3 wineries were fantastic and all in all probably worked out to be a full meal.
There’s no hidden costs and we didn’t feel under pressure to buy or tip at all.
Honestly it was such a fantastic experience from pick up to drop off. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough

Christine was a great guide, we really enjoyed her.
Personally, I think we might have enjoyed visiting different wineries than the ones we went to, each one was empty and very far from the next destination. I think we expected to be able to drink a bit more than the 4 tasting pours at each place.
However, transportation was really easy, clean and air conditioned, we loved getting to learn about Greek wines and had a great time with the others on our tour!

Fantastic wine tasting with plenty of food! The three wineries that we visited were all different and ot was interesting to learn about this unique island and the wine it produces.
We tired 4 wines at the first winery and had some cheese and bread sticks, 4 at the next work some pitta, hummus and bruschetta, then 5 at the last with a charcuterie plate each.
Well worth booking the sunset tour as the final stop is beautiful.
Transfer from the hotel was excellent and we'd highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Davide was lovely and so knowledgeable. The whole experience was great and well worth the price considering the equivalent directly from Santo Wines would’ve been 80€ alone. We were happy to have done the morning tour as it got busier as we were leaving. The nibbles were great and so were the wines. It was hot and no wind on the day and Davide was great at making sure the van stayed cool and air conditioned when we travelled between wineries.

A fantastic wine tour and experience. The guide, Kristina, was knowledgeable and energetic and it was fascinating to learn about the unique terroir and cultivation of Santorini grapes We saw 3 great wineries but the highlight was the evening stop at Santos and the amazing sunset views of the Caldera. The food pairings for each winery was also excellent. I highly recommend this tour.
