Sunset heaven

If you want a romantic sunset without having to queue or fight for a view in Oia then this is the way to do it. The boat was comfortable, food was generous and an array of different things. George and Georgia couldn’t help enough and the captain drove fantastically with no sea sickness from anyone on board. Transfer communication was perfect and on time. All in all, well worth the money.

Great experience

It was a wonderful boat trip, we really enjoyed the scenery! The weather was perfect so we didn’t skip anything. The selected swimming/snorkeling spots were excellent and not crowded, but maybe it was September and it’s not the high season. Food and drinks were as expected, crew members were very helpful and polite! We enjoyed the trip a lot, I highly recommend!

A very memorable experience

We booked this trip and requested pick-up at a designated location close to our hotel. We were texted a time of pick-up and given the number plate of the vehicle. They arrived bang on time. The only negative to this trip was that we were dropped off at a busy port and just left without telling us which gate to go to and we had to ask one of the staff. We were pleased to find out that we were on board a proper sailing boat (proper Mamma Mia style). The boat headed out to the volcano where our guide took us up on a hike to the top of the active volcano from which you could see plumes of sulphur in the main crater. We then boarded the boat again and headed for the hot springs where we were given pool noodles and were able to swim in the warm waters. The water appears yellow from the sulphur and we had to be hosed down once we got back on board the boat (our swimsuits were still dirty when rinsed out later). We then headed for Thirassia where we anchored and were able to swim in the clear waters before having dinner. Dinner consisted of Greek salad, meatballs and spaghetti, chicken and rice, red/white wine, water, pastry dessert which, although I wouldn’t consider it a great meal, it wasn’t a bad meal considering it was served on board a boat with minimal cooking facilities. Once dinner was eaten, we set sail again for Oia in hope of a sunset. However our guide then said we were headed to a “special spot” for the sunset with the full sails up. I have to say that, although I was looking forward to a sunset at Oia, I think he made right decision. The sunset was amazing and we watched it go down to appropriate music. Once the sun was gone we headed back to the port for drop off but on the way we had music and dancing and our guide was teaching us Greek dancing. Transfer to our drop off points was organised and we had no issues. All in all it was a very memorable experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Fantastic day!

Everything was perfect! The weather, the transportation, communication from the tour group, the staff on the catamaran, the food, and the vibe overall! Can’t recommend this tour enough!! Well worth the money. Views were phenomenal. And staying in Oia, we got to see a lot of the island on the way to and from Vlychada port.

We took a sunset cruise...

We took a sunset cruise on the Lagoon 500 with Captain Elrin and the crew Vasilis, Aristos, and Silia. A nice sprinter van picked us up at the hotel and took us down to the marina on the opposite (south) side of the island. We were given colored stickers at the marina which was the boat assignment. We were then guided down the dock to the catamaran. We provided a nice mat and relieved of our shoes. Plenty of shaded area in vessel to sit or can sun up front. The crew was very friendly and provided instructions and facts throughout the trip. Water, wine, coke, fanta, and sprite were available throughout the trip. One of the crewman turned on the stern grill and cooked a full meal that was delicious!! We also treated to dessert and a sunset drink! There were 3 stops to swim. Noodles, snorkel, and life jackets were available upon request. Water was about 9 feet. We were just off shore lined with people and had plenty of boats close by so it was safe. Beautiful clear water and some fish were sighted by people in our group. The third stop was the "hot springs". This is where the tour description had everyone confused. We pulled into an inlet and the vessel was tied off to set lines close to volcanic rocks. The water in the bay is the hot spring. There is nothing on shore and you are not allowed on shore. The bay water was full of sulfur, so do not wear white. Swimmers were required to be washed off by crew and to stand at back of boat until dry. The water was cold, so nothing hot about the hot spring here. We then cruised to Ammoudi Bay and watched an amazing sunset!!! The crew helped with pictures. We then docked at Ammoudi Bay and our shoes were already set up below deck. We then got off and were guided up the hill back to our van.

Phenomenal !

Pick up instructions were a little bit dodgey however the rest of the tour was absolutely amazing! Captain Kevin and crew were wonderful, had a lot of energy and vibes and kept everyone in line. Food was really good some of the best that I had eaten so far on the trip. Highly recommend and worth the money.

Fun catamaran cruise

We had a terrific time on the sunset cruise. I thought that crew made up of Captain Kosta, Assistant Captain Ervin, Vasilis, Tasos and Sotiria. Was fun and attentive to all needs. There were various stops, for swimming and snorkeling and then the sunset. Nice music and comfortable boat.

The whole experience was...

The whole experience was so lovely. The weather was beautiful and the tour was well planned and executed. A bus was sent to pick up all the passengers, we then boarded a beautiful catamaran and enjoyed a long day viewing unique beaches and landmarks and swimming and snorkeling in the sea. Lunch was very good and had many options to satisfy all palates.

Relaxing boating

Great way to spend a morning or afternoon and enjoy time on the water. Minivan picked up/dropped off up near our Airbnb- which was a huge bonus (cabs can be tricky to obtain at times.) The catamaran stopped at multiple places where we could get out and swim; space to lay out in sun on front of catamaran. Food was “ok.” Clean bathrooms.

Great way to visit the island

Very well organised trip with 3 stops. The first at the volcano which we chose to stay on the boat as it was super hot. The guide took other people on the hike which took about an hour. There are drinks available for purchase so it was pleasant just listening to music and having a drink. The second stop was the hot springs, there is a 50m swim to get from the boat to the shallows and noodles are available. They do warn you that it can stain light coloured swimwear but also I would suggest not wearing any jewellery. Wouldn't recommend this swim unless confident. It was lovely and warm and the mud was a very strange texture. After this stop was the island. Very quaint and a good selection of tavernas and ice cream places. You can swim in the sea here and its very clear but recommend sea shoes as its pebbles and boulders to enter the sea. We did see a sign upon leaving that said swim area (to the right as you face the beach) so not sure if this has better access. I think anyone with mobility issues would struggle to get in and out on the main beach. Nevertheless it was a beautiful island and worth the visit and didnt feel rushed here as had about 2/3 hours. On the way back our seats in the shade were taken so it got pretty hot, so take a hat. You then sail back through the Caldera and can take pics of Oia and Fira, the views are spectacular. The staff are really great and look after everyone and I would highly recommend this trip.
