Overview

Take a boat trip out to the Santorini Volcano and its adjacent hot springs with this boat tour. You'll dock right by the volcano, where you'll have just over an hour to explore the volcano on foot. We are a family of 5 that wanted to explore the hot spring & volcano while staying in Santorini. This cruise was packed! The sailboat was very big but they pack it tight with tourists coming from the cruise ships. Finding the boat and getting on/off was VERY chaotic and disorganized. There must have been a group that needed to get back to the port in a rapid fashion, so they were pulling people off our boat & loading them on to another boat but then they realized it was the wrong group so they unloaded the group and put them back on our boat. It was VERY hot this day and the chaos delayed our boat’s return to port. We were able to jump off the boat to swim to the hot spring but all it was is an area of slightly warmer rust colored water. There is no bubbling spring to see. The volcano hike is uphill and challenging in such hot weather for a nice view of Santorini’s caldera. Shoes other than flip flops are definitely recommended. No one in my group enjoyed this excursion. It was definitely not worth the cost and chaos!

Great boat trip! We wanting something that wasn't all day and this 3 hour trip was perfect for us. Great fun getting out on sea

Tour did not start promptly. Very big crowd waiting to get on boat. Very disorganized at the port. Did not get seats on boat. Tour was overbooked. Good itinerary but very hectic. Be prepared to struggle for a seat on the boat if you book this tour. Overall, I enjoyed the Caldera view and hot springs.

Good experience, bad order

Both the volcano and the Hot springs were fun, but they took a swimming first and then hiking second. It meant we had salt water and sulfur on our skin while walking up the volcano in the hot sun. It really should be reversed with hiking first and then swimming

Al final no pudimos hacer este tour ya que nos engañaron para sacar los tiquets y cuando nos dimos cuenta ya se había ido el barco. Muy amablemente (y pagando el extra) nos dejaron hacer otro tour muy parecido con visita extra en Thirassia. Lo que nos gustó más fue bañarnos en los Hot Springs, el agua no estaba tan caliente como nos imaginábamos, pero estuvo muy bien (llevar un bañador viejo que se queda de color marrón). El punto extra fue que todas las explicaciones estaban en español.
