Excellent tour! Our driver "Stratos" was a careful driver and the best! Intelligent, upbeat, friendly, and professional. We visited all the wonderful sights Santorini had to offer and Stratos gave us a worthwhile Greece history lesson. Highly recommended!

Excellent, Amazing Santorini

Our tour was five stars PLUS! We were picked up timely in an air conditioned Mercedes Benz vehicle. Our tour guide/chauffeur MAKIS was born and raised in Santorini. Very knowledgeable, friendly, punctual, respectful and conscientious. This was a paradise island and an amazing tour.

We had a wonderful day with Makis. He took us all around Santorini and told us all about the history of this beautiful island. He was a wealth of knowledge because he is a local and was born here. He even setup a wine tasting at Art Wine which was amazing. Highly recommend!

Informative Tour

We chose this tour as it didn't include wine tasting and we would rather spend more time on the archaeological sites. What I liked is that you can choose the starting time for the tour, we chose 9am so we could sleep a bit later. We are satisfied with the tour, as it was a private tour we could take our time at each location, to our own liking. It was also good to get the perspective of a local and Makis also told us about what Santorini was like when he was young and tourism was not such a big thing, it was mostly growing grapes and fishing, he helped harvest grapes on his grandfather's farm and explained to us why the grapes are grown in basketlike structures (because of the wind). He also talked about how the island has changed for the residents since tourism became so popular. We got to see most of the major sites on the island. At one point he pointed out to us a colony built by the Spartans on a distant cliff, and we were actually quite keen to go have a look, I don't recall seeing this on most itineraries. Unfortunately there was no time. I do recommend this tour and we enjoyed it.

There could be no better way to explore the wondrous and historical island of Santorini! Makis is an authentic local who enthusiastically provides a personalized, professional day on the island. The agenda was thoughtfully modified based on my personal preferences. You can be sure to see everything on your list, from lovely views of the caldera; red, black, and white beaches; the pre-historic Akrotiri archaeological site; local wineries with unique techniques; world-famous, breath-taking views of sunset from Oia; and more. This tour is definitely worth the time and money - my trip would not have been the same without Makis' insightful commentary explaining every aspect of the land and its history.
