Our guide, Theo, was very knowledgeable and personable. Santorini is a beautiful place for rest and relaxation. I wish we had done the full day tour.
We had a wonderful day exploring Santorini on this tour. Nikos was an excellent guide. As a native of Santorini, he had so much history and great stories to share. He also has us in Oia and out before the cruise crowds showed up.
This was a small tour with 2 other couple so it was very comfortable and nice. Our tour guide was friendly, and accommodating. This tour was packed with everything. Highly recommended.
You will gain an insight into the place you are visiting, e.g. history and culture. Thoroughly enjoyble.
We had a wonderful tour with Theo, who is extremely knowledgeable, considerate and helpful! The itinerary was perfect and we had a fantastic time. We very much appreciate Theo & the team.
Excellent tour with Vassily, who took us thru back alleys to avoid the huge crowds so we could see more. The wine tasting is not worth 20 eu per person but the lunch you can buy at Artemis is very good. We enjoyed the tour and highly recommend. The van comes at exactly 9 a.m.; wait at the kiosk/taxi stand just uphill from the main bus station where the buses pull in. The walk from cable car is farther than you think. No need to bring water. Great views and lots of useful information on tour. Much better than large group tours.
We had a great experience! The tour was amazing and the tour guide and driver were very kind! We learned a lot about the island and took great pictures!
This was a very thorough tour of the island of Santorini. We went to Oia, the monetary, Megalochori, a winery and opted for the archeological site of Akrotiri as well. Our guide, Theo, did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable. It was just a little long, from 9 am to 6 pm. The wine tasting was wonderful and we could have ended the tour there and had lunch. No opportunity for lunch was provided, so we were pretty hungry by the end. Well worth it but just know you will spend the whole day!
This tour is the perfect way to see all the key parts of the island. The small group size really enabled us to experience a lot of the island in a short amount of time. Our tour guide Theo was phenomenal. He truly customized the tour based on our interests and the other tours we were planning to take during our trip. Theo was friendly, informative, and made sure we had a memorable experience. We booked this tour on our first full day in Santorini, and it was the perfect way for us to get acquainted with the island!
Theo was an amazing and attentive tour guide. He did a great job at structuring the tour so that we saw everything in the order that made the most sense and made sure we were comfortable navigating our surrounding at each stop☺️
This was a really wonderful tour and the perfect introduction to Santorini. It’s an efficient way to hit the highlights but more than that, it’s so much fun! I really appreciated getting to Oía just before the crowds really started to roll in so we could appreciate its beauty properly and get some amazing photos without having to queue. Vasilis was also an amazing guide! He was really warm and friendly, and as a solo traveller I really appreciated how he made everyone feel included. His energy definitely helped our group to get to know each other and we had such a fun day. I think this is the perfect thing to do on your first day in Santorini.
It was a great experience. It really gives you a good feel for the island. It’s people and it’s history.
Our guide Theo was wonderful, knowledgeable and flexible enough about the day to ask the group to consider different options so we could all have the best experience for the stops we chose to make
This tour was exceptional! We saw the island from top to bottom.
The information provided was vast.
I highly recommend this tour.
Horrible service. No one could tell us where to go. The description did not disclose that you had to take a cable car up and back that was 600 foot in the air and we also had to pay for it in addition to them not being on time to pick us up or at the right place. Don’t waste your time or money. It was terrible and totally ruined our trip for the day and it was a lot of money that we prepaid for. Now I will have to get I to a fight when I get home to get my money back.
Find a different excursion.

Dear Robin,
We’re truly sorry to read that you were disappointed with your experience. However, your review does not reflect the service we provided or the clear information given prior to your tour.
All guests arriving by cruise ship receive detailed instructions — including the exact meeting point, Google Maps link, and information about using the cable car to reach Fira town. Our team also contacts each guest one to two days before the tour to confirm all details and remains in communication on the day of the experience.
As your tour was semi-private, the schedule must respect all participants. When guests arrive late, our policy allows a short waiting period, and if needed, we offer complimentary transfer options to join the group later so no one misses the experience.
We regret that you chose not to continue with the tour despite these options being available. Our goal is always to ensure every guest has a memorable and smooth experience, as reflected in the hundreds of positive reviews from other travelers.
We loved this stop! Penny was our tour guide and she was adorable! George was our driver and we loved him, too.
It was a sunny day, but super windy (25-30min) and about 67 degrees (Fahrenheit). We all had light sweaters/jackets and it was perfect. Some even wore shorts and were fine.
My advice, take all the photos and consider turning them into puzzles or canvas or wall art because WOW! We didn’t get to ride the donkeys since there was a recent landslide, but the cable car experience was quick and easy.
We did the half day tour and added an extra winery to our stops. We are wine lovers, so this was perfect for us! We did prefer the first winery, though. It was called Artemis Karamolegos. We ate lunch and did a tasting. We also got to see the production and barrel rooms. The food was amazing and the wine was delicious. We bought 2 additional bottles and they said they distribute to the states.
Something to know before you book, if you do the winery, the lunch is paid on your own there and the tasting is paid the day before to the travel company. They will send you a link to prepay. The tasting was €20pp. For lunch, we all shared a bunch of things and it was somewhere around €25pp. There were 11 of us.
Overall, I recommend this tour! Penny and George made the experience so fun and Penny is even a certified sommelier, which was perfect for our wine loving group. We learned quite a few Greek words and a few “bad” ones too! Our transportation was comfortable and roomy. We will definitely return to Santorini!
Tour was stretched out to much with information that was not too interesting. We did not go to beach but that may be due to weather
Excellent, informative tour of this beautiful island! Our guide, Will, was very knowledge. We saw and experienced so much! The wine tasting was a fun addition to the itinerary. The sunset was incredible!
I loved this one! The pride with which our tour guide , Yola, showed us around was infectious and can only come from a local. I am so glad that she included not just touristy spots of Santorini but also the more local places.
We had a wonderful day with Penny and our driver George! Penny is very knowledgeable and experienced in getting around and ahead of all the cruise ship passengers. She is very kind and her love of Greece shows in how much she shares with you about this island. George is an incredible driver in the chaos. We experienced rain and fog on our way up to the highest point on the island and he handled it like a champion. Do the wine tasting! Penny is VERY knowledgeable about wine as well. Thoroughly enjoyed our day - highly recommend this excursion!
The guide tried her best it seems, however there was no plan to get us the best experience.
1. In a van with 10 people do not use a mic was a big disappointment, cuz we could barely hear the guide
2. The idea of the trip was to learn more about history, country and the island.
We got "history" talk about 30% the rest was a talk about our life in USA.
3. "Wine tasting" was a pure rip off. Absolutely not worth it. Rashed, scripted and "get rid of" style.
4. The guide s "pay back restaurant was such a touristy trap
5. At the end of the day we were hoping this tour to end soon.
Verdict: Don't go. It's not worth it

Dear Vladimir,
We are sorry to hear that you felt this way about your tour. During the experience, our tour leader always checks in with guests to ensure they are enjoying the day, and we were not informed of any concerns at the time.
We were particularly surprised by your comment regarding the restaurant, as the venue we visit consistently receives a 4.9 rating on Google and is well-known for its exceptional atmosphere and quality of wine.
While we respect that every guest has their own preferences, your conclusion that the tour is “not worth it” is exaggerated. It is not fair to underrate an experience that so many others have genuinely enjoyed—considering that we have served thousands of guests and have over 1,000 five-star reviews reflecting the experiences we provide.
Additionally, we would like to note that our tours require active participation, and a basic understanding of English is important to fully enjoy and follow the experience. Without this, guests risk missing parts of the tour and not fully benefiting from the guided explanations.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we hope future travelers will have a different perspective on the quality and care we put into our tours.
Loved our semi‑private tour with Argyros Travel—friendly, authentic, punctual, helped avoid crowds .
Awesome tour guide Will and wine tasing was wonderful !!!!!!!!!! Would definitely do it bc again and leave enough time for the lunch
This day tour exceeded our expectations!! Yota and Demetrius were fabulous!! Yota provided us with so much information about life in Santorini, she was extremely personable and we never had the feeling that this was the typical scripted tour. She answered every question that anyone in the group had. We were able to see most of the island and get a true taste of areas outside of the tourist locations. She knew secret photo spots that were not crowded for photos. The winery was beautiful and the perfect last stop on the tour. Such an enjoyable day, I highly recommend!!!!
Very long day, you see about 90% of the island, lot of walking and stairs that are slanted and slippery, bring a hat and cover shoulders so you didn't burn, very hot and humid.... Great photo opps but not enough free time.
The tour was wonderful and our guide, Yota, was so sweet and knowledgeable! It was the perfect way to spend a half day!
Very accommodating and nice tour. The guide Yota was very knowledgeable and didn’t take us to any tourist traps and was looking out for my family.
"Our guide was absolutely incredible — she turned the trip into a warm, friendly, and truly insightful experience. Thanks to her, we felt both connected and inspired throughout the journey.
We booked the Santorini Highlights Small-Group Tour with Argyros Travel during our stop in Santorini and it was the perfect day. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, fun, and incredibly memorable.
Our guide, Penny, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and had a fantastic strategy for navigating the beautiful but crowded streets of Oia. She got us quickly to all the important photo spots, ensuring we got those iconic pictures without getting lost in the crowds. And we have to mention her hidden talent—Penny is an amazing photographer! She generously took pictures for our entire group, capturing fantastic shots we never would have gotten on our own.
A huge thank you as well to our driver, George, who navigated the roads safely and with a smile, making our transit between sites comfortable and stress-free.
We highly recommend Argyros Travel and this specific tour. If you're lucky enough to have Penny and George as your team, you are in for a truly special and fun experience!
We saw all the various cities and towns that Santorini had to offer. We went to historical venues. Our tour guides were excellent (Yato (Guide) & Dimitris (Driver)) Yato was extremely knowledgeable about everything pertaining to Santorini. The views we were able to see were spectacular. Lastly we added the wine tasting option to our tour (It is an additional $40). The winery was very nice. The scenery and atmosphere was beautiful. The wine flight we had was good. The tour of the winery was very informative! Again Yato was extremely knowledgeable about the winery and the operation. Dimitris was a fantastic driver and very personable. I would definitely recommend! Argyros Travel Team.
I thought our tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly with great energy outstanding job. We even went to see a beautiful sunset in a special place.I think only locals go to
