Great tour completely hassle free! George our tour guide was so knowledgeable and fun, he made the tour for us, with lots of historical information and references. Got to enjoy a great authentic Greek lunch on the black sand beach. Bus was very comfortable as well. Appreciated all the pictures George took during our tour too! Highly recommended!!

We had a wonderful time with Gina and Niko. We loved the tour and we returned back to the port with enough time to tender back to the ship without stress. We especially enjoyed Megalochori. The only thing that could have improved our excursion would have been to have had more time, but our ship would have had to stay longer for that.

It was a very nice way to...

It was a very nice way to see Santorini. Our tour guide was Alexandria and she was lovely. She was knowledgeable and helpful. We found the meeting location easily and the excursion was very smooth.

Great tour but a few problems

    Scott_B, Jun 2026
Our tour of Santorini had a few problems but our excellent tour guide, Zeus, made the tour enjoyable. The driver was excellent. The sights visited were a lot of fun and great for photo opportunities. Zeus provided cold water from an onboard cooler. He was easy to understand and offered lots of commentary along the route. We did get to spend a few minutes at a beautiful black sand (rock) beach with crystal clear waters. The beach club restaurant was very good for a quick drink or snack. However, we did run into a few problems. We were scheduled for a 9AM departure, and really wanted to get out as soon as possible to avoid crowds and afternoon heat. However, the evening before, we were notified that we were going to be on a 10AM departure because all the people on our ship wanted the 10AM departure. But that wasn't true. We spoke to several people on our cruise that were also changed from 9AM to 10AM. We were offered a full refund if we wanted to cancel, but when I went to see if there were earlier departures, there were, but they were all quite a bit more expensive so we went along with the 10AM departure. We also received notification the morning of the excursion from Viator that we were on a 9AM departure. So, we got off the in time for the 9AM departure. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to see or do at the ferry port. So we had to wait from 8:45 until 10:30 when we finally left on the tour ferry boat which was delayed because there were several people who got on the tour boat who shouldn't have been there. They didn't request any type of ticket to get on the boat and several people got on that shouldn't have been there. After much arguing with these people, they finally got off and we were able to depart. In the future, I would recommend that they ask to see everyone's ticket or check them off a list before boarding. In hindsight, we would could have made it up the cable car in 15 minutes if we didn't have the trip booked. The whole reason we did this tour is the called it the, "Skip Sky Tram !!! Hassle-Free 5 Hour Tour for Cruise Passengers" Well this whole thing was a hassle and the wait to get on the tour ferry was much, much longer than any line for the sky tram. Then the 1st long stop that we made was at the beach. The itinerary showed that the beach was the last stop. We wanted to go swimming, so we wore our suits thinking it was the last stop. When we went to the beach first, I asked Zeus and he said because of the time change we had to go to the beach first. The itinerary showed 1 hour at the beach at the end. When we got there, he told us it was only going to be 40 minutes. Needless to say, we were only able to walk in the water, because we had to be dry and we couldn't get our suits wet because we were going to be on the tour the remainer of the day. Other than these issues, the tour was great and we would recommend it to anyone willing to pay the steep price ($150 each).

    Santorini a must see!

    Michael_B, Jun 2026
Santorini is fabulous and this tour allows everyone to see that. Lunch at the beach at the end of tour was very nice.

    Excellent!

It was very good, got to see many places with lots of cultural history details and information from native Greeks.

    Small group tour, Wonderful guide

    Michelle_H, Jun 2026
Wonderful small group tour in Santorini. Guide was friendly, spoke great English. There were 16 people in our group. We had a van with AC that was comfortable. Stops were nice. Enjoyed free time To explore. Enjoyed the black beach area where you could swim or grab a bite/drink at one of the many local restaurants along the beach. Great day in Santorini. Would definitely recommend a tour like this vs a ship tour where they have many more people and large tour buses. Enjoyed the smaller group.

Almost lost our lives ..due to a boating accident .

    malcolmvelayadum, Jun 2026
The tour guide and drive were great , the tour was a bit rushed but when we were transferring back to our port to he collected by our ship tender boats, the boat hit an object in the water and almost capsized. We had 15 people onboard and they only had around 10 life jackets. This was the worst end to a beautiful day in Santorini. This has really spoilt a beautiful holiday. There were no safety briefings on the boats and the driver did not seemed to care about anything. I am going to take this up with the authorities and tourism board of Santorini.

    Response from Host, Jun 2026

We sincerely apologize for the stress caused during the return tendering. As incidents can happen on land, they can unfortunately also happen at sea. However, guests should not be concerned, as all local sea vessels operate under strict safety requirements. The boats used for this service are equipped with safety systems, including life jackets, and are designed to remain afloat even in the unlikely event of damage. The boat was provided by a highly professional tender company, which is the only official provider of tendering services in Santorini for all visiting cruise ships. Rescue boats are always on duty, in full accordance with international maritime safety requirements. Captain Loukas has 25 years of experience as a captain. An investigation is currently taking place to determine why, while following the standard route, the boat touched an object and how that object appeared in the water, as this area is normally deep enough to pass safely. The tender boat was replaced immediately. Officers of the Hellenic Coast Guard and a member of the Local Ship Inspection Unit arrived at the scene. They found a small crack on the starboard side and controlled water ingress. Due to the minor nature of the damage, no injuries were reported among the crew or guests. The Thira Port Authority is conducting the preliminary investigation, and you are welcome to contact them at any time.

    A Dream Come True!

Santorini has always been a dream of mine and it didn't disappoint. Georgina, our tour guide made it even better. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. She interacted with everyone. Always offering to take pictures for people. Your tour was worth every cent.

    Santorini - you’re stunning!!

    Brendan_K, Jun 2026
This tour was advised via a third party and was advised for cruise passengers visiting the island with a limited time availability. This tour via JAT was excellent and our guide George was superb - funny, engaging, knowledgeable and really shines through. The tour group was small and that felt right, this was organised away from the larger crowds of a cruise ship shore excursion. The tour skips the cable car, and that allows you to get ahead of the crowds for sure. The island is small, narrow, so there isn’t much that can be done about crowds - it’ll just have to be something to contend with. Angel was our driver and he made sure we arrived to certain places in good time to beat the crowds for those amazing photo opportunities. I would advise cruise passengers to review when they are due to disembark to avoid missing this tour. For example; we arrived at 0900 and started disembark procedure around 0915 and our tour was 1030, we arrived at the dock at 1035 (I had already notified George / JAT rep prior to this time to advise of the delay) but maybe choosing a tour 2hrs after disembark would be a little easier to manage. Overall, this was a highly recommended tour and George our guide and Angel our driver were brilliant throughout. This tour is expensive, but in this case, you get what you pay for and I would pay for this tour again if I am lucky enough to visit this wonderful Island.

    Santorini you stole my heart!!

Alex was an excellent guide!! We loved our trip and our experience to Greece. They driver was also very nice and friendy and helped us so much!! Thank you

    Easy Breezy Fabulous Tour

    David_T, May 2026
Exactly as described - hassle free way to see the best of Santorini without having to wait in the long lines for the cable car. Our tour guide Yiannis was fabulous!

    Will they show up

    Montie_E, May 2026
This was going to be the highlight of our trip. The tenders were late getting here and I messaged the tour company and advised. Never heard back. There was another tour at noon that were were going to get on, but they NEVER showed up! I contacted them and was basically told I didn't cancel within in the time slot. I am going to dispute these charges.

    Response from Host, May 2026

Please note that your refund request has been respectfully declined in full accordance with Viator’s cancellation policy, as it is the customer’s responsibility to arrive at the pickup point by the appointed pickup time. If you were unable to arrive on time due to delayed tendering provided by your ship, you may address your claim directly to your cruise line. The tour waited for you for an additional 15 minutes. However, your fellow cruisers, all of whom arrived on time, did not wish to lose more of their limited time ashore. We did not accept your request to amend the booking to the 12:00 PM departure, as this departure was already sold out, while your original booking was for 10:00 AM. Unfortunately, guests who arrive late cannot simply join the next departure, as availability is not guaranteed. When booking future activities with Viator, we strongly recommend understanding the importance of strict departure times for group tours. We also suggest reserving an earlier tender with your cruise ship, as 247 of your fellow cruisers did that morning. Safe travels.

    Fun day in Santorini

    Patty_S, May 2026
Pretty views but I found the other islands much more interesting because of their rich history. Santorini is lovely for photo ops. The line for the sky tram was minimal when we were there so it wasn't a big advantage to skip it, but I can see where it might be on other dates. Our travel guide, Zeus, was fun and his stories were interesting and I would recommend him.

Wonderful day in Santorini with Gina and Niko

    SusanA_S, May 2026
We had a wonderful time with Gina and Niko. We loved the tour and we returned back to the port with enough time to tender back to the ship without stress. We especially enjoyed Megalochori. Awesome small group tour with CHRIS!

    Wilma_B, May 2026
We had a most enjoyable small group tour with our guide Chris. He spoke excellent English, was very knowledgeable in sharing the history of the island of Santorini and had a fun loving spirit with a great laugh! His driver was exceptional in manoeuvring the narrow windy roads. Our tour began on a large water boat, then a bus and of course walking and enjoying the spectacular views. I would highly recommend this tour with Chris.

    Skip the line tour was...

    Roberta_S, May 2026
Skip the line tour was great! Our tour guide Alex was the best at finding all the great photo spots and hidden gems of all around Santorini. Highly recommend!

    Nice view... but overpriced

    Francois_T, May 2026
I was there on May 13th 2026 with my wife and an other couple. First, they don't have clear explanation for the pick up place... at the port (pretty big and not clear where to go). Then, it's not well organized and to get on board of the tender they have to wait for the port autority to get a boat back and forth. We ended up missing an hour because of that and could not stop to have lunch at the beach. Our guide was very good and did pointed ways to make our visit better. It's also very expensive since we shared a bus with a dozen people and compare to private tour we took on our cruise in other ports stop, it was double the price.

    Response from Host, May 2026

Thank you for your kind words about our guide. The pickup place remains the same — near the 3 palm trees, a one-minute walk from the pier where the ship tenders drop you off in the tiny old port of Fira. Please note that tendering time from and to the ship has nothing to do with our services, as it is provided and arranged by your cruise ship. Please address any concerns about getting ashore and returning back onboard directly to your cruise line. The price has remained the same for the last 7 years and is available on the Viator website 24/7. Safe travels!

    Very nice experience!

    LaTonya_A, May 2026
Cruise ship friendly ~ this tour was interesting since we had a short day from the cruise ship and we were tendered to shore. Once at shore it was somewhat confusing as to the group I was touring with since they did not give specific instructions as to their group name. However, once that was worked out, we then had a short packed tour - guide was very informative, friendly, and beautiful personality. He most definitely was a picture taker, gave time to tour personally and squeezed in as much of the beautiful Santorini as he could in the short time. The van was intimate group of about 10-12 ppl and the driver was professional and helpful on /off van.

    Must do Santorini Tour

    Mark_B, May 2026
A great alternative to buying a ship excursion. Our guide, Victor, made the experience fun and personal as he adjusted the itinerary order to give us the best possible day, avoiding the crowds and getting us to all the must see sites on Santorini. The boat transfer from the old port to the ferry port avoided the cable car queues and got us on our way much more pleasantly. Victor was knowledgeable about Santorini and knew all the spots to get those photos everyone wants. He was also great at taking photos of us. If you want a small group no hassle fun tour this is the one.

Well worth the time and cost!

    Paul_S, May 2026
The guide Demo was excellent. The locations chosen and the amount of time allowed at each location was just right. Be advised that this tour is offered at several times during the day, so if you miss your scheduled start time, the tour company will help you join the next tour time. Our boat tender was running late, so we made it to shore from the cruise ship 5 minutes late, and needed to wait for the next tour.

    Great Tour

    Pamela_B, May 2026
Victor was a great tour guide and the driver did an amazing job. We spent just the right amt of time at each location. 😊 Highly recommend this tour esp with Victor.

Gave 5 but prob 4* good info

    Karen_M, May 2026
All in all very informative. Had to have rushed lunch (only like 35 minutes). Confusion at end..thought boat was taking us back to base of cable cars (we wanted to go up after tour) but they took us directly to ship.

George was highlight of our tour!

    Jim_L, May 2026
Great tour completely hassle free!

    Beautiful and very informative guides

    Santorini Enjoyment

    matthew_c, Apr 2026
Great way to see the entire island. Driver was safe, Alex our guide was very good.. Lunch during the excursion was great on the black sand beach.

Gorgeous views of villages and coastal mountains

    LilyNancy_F, Apr 2026
Charming scenic villages. So many pretty churches. Wish had more time in Oia less at beach since it was not warm enough

Good tour, very demanding. Wear good shoes.

    Brian_L, Mar 2026
If the weather is bad, you will not be skipping the cable car. The only bad thing about the tour was very poor communication when our travel was canceled for the boat. Then had to get in the back of the cable car line which was extremely long by that time.

    A great way to see...

    Daniel_B, Mar 2026
A great way to see Santorini. The guide Victor was informative and great. His recommended lunch spot was amazing. He knew all the high spots around the island

    Time Saver for Sure!

    John_M, Nov 2025
This was a great tour in larg part because we were able to skip the sky tram, which had a very long line waiting to go up. Because of weather we had to take the sky tram back down that day, but the tour was awesome, and took us to most of what we wanted to see that day. I would definitely recommend them!
