Fantastic experience all around. Mark was an extremely knowledgeable and pleasant guide. We learned all about Basque history and culture as well as Rioja wine making on our way to the vineyards. The wineries themselves were a great mix of small and large producers making incredible wine.
Would absolutely use this group again and be sure to request Mark if you book, he truly made the day an amazing experience

Our guide; Ander, was fantastic ! Born and raised in San Sebastián, Ander offered a wealth of information not only about La Rioja but the entire Basque region.
The tour and vineyards spectacular. The lunch/ food was a huge disappointment and did not hold up at all to the quality of the other aspects of the trip .

This tour with Ander was unsurpassed! Not only was he exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of the Basque region but his knowledge of vineyards and winemaking as well as his personal relationship with vineyard owners and staff ensured a really comprehensive and fun tour. Sasha at Magu vineyards provided a thorough, detailed and educational overview and tour of the winemaking process to include barrel making. Marta at Luis Cana provided such heart to her description of the vineyards and Luis Cana the founder, that we shared family stories that literally brought us both to tears. Tastings were phenomenal and truly a memorable experience sitting outside overlooking the vineyards. Lunch in Lograno was exceptional. Enjoying our meal ouside of the restaurant at a white tableclothed small table, views of the cobblestone street and flowers hanging from balconies, added to the ambience most of us have only read about in travel magazines. This tour was worth every cent. Ask for Ander!!!

This tour is a wonderful introduction to the Basque wine scene! The tour operator - Go Basque (Ander) - traces the history of wine making up to present. Our tour included a stop and lunch at La Guardia, a charming walled town. Ander was particularly accommodating and good company!

Anders showed us a diversity of wineries, each with a unique wine and personality. Anders catered the personalized tour to us and what we wanted to do while staying within the guidelines. Wonderful experience!

If you love wine, this is a must while you are in the area. First of all, we’d like to thank go basque tour for an amazing day trip- Ander was so knowledgeable and personalized the tour according to our want- it was a wonderful day trip. We visited several continual wineries as well as a few boutique wineries. The region of Rioja is beautiful and we were able to enjoy the scenery while driving and walking around. We also visited a little town of LaGuardia and had a delicious lunch. We are so happy that we did this tour! Thank you, go basque tour, Ander and Nina for this amazing experience!

We went on a private tour with Ander to 3 different locations and with 3course lunsj at the 4th. The winerys were great,but most of all it was Anders knowledge about the winerys, and San Sebastian in general that made our day. We highly recomend a trip with him. It was absolutely one of our best days of our holiday.

What a great tour this was! My wife and I were spending three days of our vacation in San Sebastian and wanted to check out the Rioja wine region so we booked this tour through Viator. The tour guides Ander and Nina were wonderful, very informative without being overwhelming with information. They took us to 3 enjoyable and different wineries to give us a good impression of the area. They also took us to a very authentic place for lunch and then to the beautiful and charming hilltop town of LaGuardia. I was blown away with the beauty and uniqueness of this wine regain. I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Rioja wine region and if so booking this tour!

Nina and Ander picked us up early in the morning in San Sebastian and we spent the full day touring Rioja, experienced the two wineries Cune and Valdelana, visited the mideval village of Laguardia, and had a delicious 3 course lunch at Bodega Eguren Uarte. We got to spend all the time we wanted and got excellent service the entire day. Recommended!

Our wine trip with Go Basque to experience Rioja wine country was incredible. I just can't say enough good stuff. Ander is wonderful, affable, classy, knowledgable, kind, great smile and set up a wonderful trip. Nina organized our trip and kept great communications open with us, before, during and after our trip. Their recommendations of what to do on our own were perfect. And I thought the price was very reasonable for the product delivered. Don't miss this trip!

We had a beautiful day for this excursion. I hadnt expected a private tour as I thought I was booking a small group tour so this was a nice bonus for us. Our driver and guide, Ander and Nina, were very charming and made us feel at ease very quickly. We liked the wines at all 3 wineries that they picked. Found out later that Muga was the number 1 winery in Rioja for 2017. The tasting lunch with wine pairings at Baigorri was top notch and definitely worth the splurge the tour not so much. Was happy to have photo stops at Ysios and Marques de Riscal.

This tour is absolutely perfect! Nina and Ander were fantastic guides! Very knowledgeable and fun. They picked us up at our airbnb and took us to 2 vineyards where we participated in the tours and tastings. They also guided us through a medieval village. Cannot recommend enough!

This tour was exceptional! Our tour guides, Nina and Andar were friendly and informative, not only on the wine experience, but of the culture in general. The walled city of La Guardia is something everyone needs to see with a visit to the Rioja wine region. I don't believe you could find a better, customized tour.
