- Puerto Rico is hot so wear light clothing and bring water to stay hydrated, although we do provide water at all our stops.
- Tour runs rain or shine!
- Please plan accordingly (allow extra time for traffic and parking, especially on weekends) and arrive 10 minutes prior to start time. Tour starts promptly. We allow an additional 5 minute grace period after the allotted start time - following that, once the guide has left the meeting location, guests may no longer join the tour. Please note we are on Atlantic Standard Time (AST) and Puerto Rico does not observe Daylight Savings.
- Food Allergies, Dietary Restrictions, and/or, Dietary Preferences: Tasting menus developed with our partners are pre-fixed and thus, all changes must be provided well in advance. Please ensure to advise of any allergies, dietary restrictions, and, or, dietary preferences at least 48hours in advance of your experience. We are only able to make substitutions with prior notice. Please note vegan and gluten-free tastings are not available at all stops.
- Not recommeneded for travelers with severe mobility issues since this is a walking tour in a colonial city (cobblestones and some uneven sidewalks)

Lorna was very knowledgeable, fun and took great care of. Great tour and sampled some wonderful traditional food and beverages.
We are so happy with our tour. Our tour guide, Gia, was knowledgeable, friendly, and warm. She talked about the origins of certain foods and some historical context. We also got lucky because our group was small (five people) that morning and made the tour more personable. Loved that the tour included tastings at family-owned businesses which are not prominently listed in social media. These types of establishments are what we look for when we travel. This tour by Spoon is a must do!

Had an AMAZING time on the Old San Juan morning tour! Lorna was the best guide EVER! We learned so much about the history of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and we had delicious food and tastings at 5 different local family owned locations! Everything was so delicious and we got a good sampling of Puerto Rican cuisine. BOOK this tour or any tour with Spoon. You will have the time of your life! Arrive with empty stomachs because you will be full at the end 💕 I would definitely do a tour with them again. Thank you!!!

Come hungry. You’re not just getting small samples. Food was paired nicely with drinks and Zu was a great storyteller
This tour is a must! We have been to Puerto Rico many times and we still learned so much from Lorna, ate great food, had delicious drinks and saw some beautiful sights.

Great tour with lots of history and plentiful portions of local cuisine to taste. Get Zu as your guide as she was excellent and kept the pace while being attentive to the whole group.
Pablo was absolutely amazing!! His love and enthusiasm towards the rich history of the island and food was fantastic. Highly recommend this tour. You don't be disappointed!
Great trip. Our guide Pablo was informative, and enjoyable…… no issues whatsoever. We received drinks and food, all local and all excellent Would book this again.
Our guide had very deep knowledge of local food culture and history! The food was delicious, of course, but the breadth and depth of knowledge was extremely good as well.
Zu was very informative and told us slot of great history about old san jusn. Every food and drink option was excellent!
We had an amazing time on the morning food walking tour in old San Juan. Elliott, our guide was very knowledgeable about Puerto Rican culture, its history and of course its food. We strolled through beautiful old San Juan and made multiple stops along the way for delicious food and drinks. If you love food and history this is your tour.
You get plenty of good and drinks. The guide was amazing-Elio, who knew so much about Old San Juan. He shared a lot of good history about Puerto Rico and the area.
Our guide was Gía, a vivacious and enthusiastic local who taught us some history and culture while introducing us to a wonderful variety of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. She was very organized so that everything flowed smoothly, despite us being a group of about 15. The time flew by and we found ourselves wishing the experience was longer!
Plenty of great tasting food. Niko was amazing and full of energy. If you are lucky enough to have her as you guide, you’ll be laughing through the whole tour.
It requires some walking on cobblestone and narrow sidewalks but not very taxing. It's a great easy to learn about the history of the city. The food and drinks were generous and satisfying. Our guide was fun, upbeat and very knowledgeable.

It was a great trip very informational! A lot of walking to have the right shoes on also I️ would’ve wanted more samples from places and less of a meal at each place but it was amazing our tour guide was super nice and helpful ! amazing tour would definitely do it again !
