This tour was so much fun! Wasn’t successful at ice fishing, but the views were breathtaking. Driving the snowmobile was exhilarating! The tour guide was great! Very friendly, talkative, shared a lot about Finnish culture and life in Finland. The sausage and salmon were a great treat and the berry juice is yummy! I highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide GiGi was absolutely fantastic from start to finish, looking after us, cooking our lunch, making sure we were safe when snowmobiling and answering all of our questions.
The track we could take was fairly limited due to the time of year.
Would definitely recommend Nordic Unique Tours and would tour with them again.

We were on a small group, so was very nice. The fishing experience was great ( we didn’t catch anything) but drilling the hole and been there was so cool.
The snowmobile was awesome, we had so much fun and adrenaline.

The weather was sunny and windless which makes ice-fishing not so torturous but fun. We didn't catch any fishes but seeing our adult children successfully drilling the hole was a great sight and full of fun.
It will etch into memory for years to come....nice activity to try once in a lifetime; especially coming from Singapore.

Hard work but great fun trying to drill a hole in the lake for fishing. We didn’t catch anything per our expectations but it was a good experience. The snowmobile ride was excellent and lasted more than a hour going through the forest. Not to be missed!

From start to finish this was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Alvaro, picked us up from our accommodation and took us to the main office to be kitted out in all of our winter gear and then out to the lake for the ice fishing. This was absolutely stunning. What a beautiful setting though drilling through nearly 1m of ice was quite difficult. While we were doing this and trying to catch something Alvaro went off to light the fire pit and prepare the salmon for lunch. Luckily we didn't have to rely on eating what we caught as no-one had as much as a nibble, not that this detracted at all from the fun we were having. The salmon and hot drink were just what was needed after spending time out on the ice in sub-zero temperatures.
After the meal we were taken to the snowmobiles and kitted out with helmets, etc. and then set off into the woods and lakes. After a couple of stops for photos we came to a large clear area where we could go off on our own and have a little fun in the deeper snow rather than following the extensive tracks.
The group size was quite small consisting of just 7 people which made it much more intimate and relaxing rather than being part of a much larger group and Alvaro was fantastic from start to finish with any help or questions that we had.
All in all I couldn't recommend this experience enough - it was one of the highlights of our holiday.

Our family had the BEST time on this tour! Our children were included and the guides wonderful with them! It was so much fun and the perfect amount of time doing each part of the tour. We loved the ice fishing, eating the fish and toasting mashmellows and the snow mobiles were amazing!! We would highly recommend this tour and Nordic Adventures!! Thank you guys for the experience!

We had an Ok time. The guides were really friendly and helpful, multilingual and talented professionals. However the group size is way too big for this to be an enjoyable experience. There was an entire bus load of us! First: when ice fishing it’s such a large group that there’s no way you’ll catch fish when the fish can hear everyone stomping around the ice. Second: the snowmobiling was not nearly long enough, and the group was too big to really get anywhere. The guide kept pausing every 2-3 minutes to make sure the group was ok, which I absolutely appreciate has to be done with a large party, but we didn’t even really get far snowmobiling as a result. Every break someone had to take a picture or readjusting their gear so we ended up sitting around most of the time. They also don’t groom the tracks so it was a super bumpy ride that you can’t really go fast on at all.

Pros:

A lot of wasted time due large group. There were 43 of us.
The snowmobile ride was not enjoyable.
We were expecting it to be in a deep snow instead the terrain was bumpy all through out.

I arranged for my parents and I to attend the Snowmobile and ice fishing experience on 24 December 2023. It was a long tour, projected on the website to be between 4-5 hours, and I made other plans for the rest of the day accordingly. We arrived to the tour at 10 am and waited an hour for it to start. Some of the attendees arrived and announced then that they were vegetarians, and the tour company rushed to accommodate them, necessitating a delay to the tour so they could grocery shop some vegetarian options.
The tour group was large but within the projected potential number of attendees - 32. However, even the guides did not seem to be aware they were taking that many people that day. Given the large number of people, the guides worked hard to make sure everyone had a good experience, but there probably weren’t enough of them to handle all the setup for ice fishing, cooking salmon in a fire on the ice, and coordinating bathroom breaks, and it took some time for the attendees to get going. The ice fishing equipment was essentially a children’s rod, which was pretty disappointing.
It took another hour for the tour group to get on the bus again to drive 45 minutes to the snowmobiling site, which was very far away from the ice fishing site and not really conducive to a two-event tour. My impression was, during a 5 hour tour, we spent about two hours actually doing activities and the rest of the time waiting. The hosts of the property where the ice fishing was held were not happy that the tour company had apparently sent three different tour groups at the same time there, so there were some awkward discussions up by the house on the property.
Ultimately, my family did not get to snowmobile because we had dinner reservations that we would be late for if we stayed for the end of the very delayed tour. My impression was that the guides were wonderful, and hard workers, but they appeared to be a bit overwhelmed by how many people were there. The tour company has organized a tour that cannot really handle 32 people, maybe at most 20, and they were extremely disorganized on what is probably one of their busiest days of the year. I have empathy for that but I also paid extra to snowmobile solo, and that was definitely one of the activities we were really looking forward to. To the tour company’s credit, when we told the guides we had to leave because of the delay, they immediately arranged for a company car to take us back to our hotel, and we were very grateful for that. But I can’t in good faith recommend this tour if it has more than 20 people.

We went to the tour a friend and I. We were very excited for the snowmobile.
We were picked up on time by a van from our place outside the city, got dressed up in astronaut suits at the agency, then went for the ice fishing. We dug a hole with the drilling machine, sat and waited. Unfortunately no one caught any fish, apparently it wasn't the season, but it was fun to learn.
There was an excellent BBQ launch of sausages and a delicious salmon, with hot juice. As we were not expecting to have this, it came as an excellent surprise, especially that it was indoors in one of these traditional BBQ Finnish huts (forgot the name).
Then we went to the snowmobile tour. It was really enjoyable, as long as you're careful enough and respect the guidelines.
We were not too many that day, but I know some other comments complain that the snowmobile allowed speed is low (40 Km/h). As a beginner, that's more than enough to enjoy, believe me! But I can hear that on a day with too many attendees, it could potentially be slower and hence less fun.
At least we enjoyed our day. Nordic Unique Travels seemed to us like one of the most serious agencies when we were looking up our tours before going to Finland. We don't know many others, but on that day, we were not disappointed!

This tour was cancelled at 5pm the night before. Alternative tours were offered. But, canceling at the last minute is inconsiderate and didn't allow for us to find another tour company to do the activity we wished.
We opted for a different tour. The site host, Jodi, was professional and friendly.

This is an exceptional good value for money tour. The ice fishing experience is amazing. The tour guides are all very helpful and courteous and fun. The snowmobile ride is about 1 hour long and you get to go into the "wilderness". The tour guide is super friendly and very professional when it comes to the entire group's safety. Best tour package we spent our money on in our Lapland tour.

Faccio una premessa: il giorno in cui abbiamo fatto questa escursione c'erano circa -28 gradi e più di 50 persone che hanno partecipato alla stessa escursione. Non è chiaro se noi facessimo parte di un gruppo diverso, in quanto ci spostavamo su un pulmino da 9 persone, ma la nostra guida era la collega di altre guide che invece erano responsabili di un altro gruppo che si spostava su un autobus di linea. Detto ciò, il filo conduttore della giornata sono stati il caos e la poca comunicazione. Ci sono stati parecchi momenti vuoti (per esempio quando tutte e 50/60 le persone dovevano mangiare), ma non ci veniva detto il motivo della pausa, oppure entro quanto saremmo ripartiti. A parte questo, l'esperienza in sé è stata piacevole. La pesca sul ghiaccio è un po' fine a sé stessa, in quanto credo che nussuno peschi mai nulla. Il pranzo con il salmone è stato delizioso e l'esperienza con le motoslitte è stata da urlo. In questo caso, siamo stati fortunati in quanto una guida ci ha preso con sé dopo che abbiamo chiesto di andare più veloci e ci siamo dati alla pazza gioia per circa 20 minuti, superando anche i 40km/h (il resto del gruppo non credo abbia superato mai i 20). Tutto sommato, lo rifarei, possibilmente in una giornata con meno persone.

Todo genial, los guías excelentes, fuimos en familia y pudimos hacer nuestro propio agujero en el hielo. Comimos salmón exquisito. Las motos de nieve divertidas, nuestro hijo pequeño (6 años) no pudo pero se montó en el trineo y le gustó, sobre todo cuando iba un poco rápido
