We were not lucky to see the Aurora Borealis but had an amazing time nonetheless! We thoroughly enjoyed the the fire, the sausages and drinks and the long drive in search of the lights. The guide was extremely helpful and very nice.

Bbq was nice guides didn't give us any information on aurora though and even though we tried several places no aurora

Although there are no guarantees to see the lights this wasn’t the problem with the excursion. The tour guides could have provided a lot more energy and enthusiasm about the trip. There was very little dialogue from them and it seemed the whole night was a chore. At least enjoy the company of those you are taking out

Amazing Aurora hunt

We had a really good time hunting the Aurora Borealis together with Alex. We had a nice barbecue, got warmed up by the fire, and actually got to experience the lights !! It was incredible, and throughout the experience the atmosphere was jolly and fun. Thank you for an amazing time !

Northen lights night

We were picked up at our hotel and taken to different locations to see the northern lights. December is not the best month as the weather can be quite unpredictable. Luckily we were able to catch a glimpse of this natural wonder followed by a much needed barbeque. The pictures came for free :)

Best Aurora tour in Finland

By far the best Aurora hunting experience we went on. Alexi was amazing. Found the lights with no trouble and he took amazing pics for us. Do not book with another tour (only this one) or you will regret it.

No auroras, but we got good spots!

We did not manage to see the auroras that night, but we had decided to join the group with our own vehicle for the convenience of sitting in our own car with the heater on. We appreciate Alex's flexibility on that matter and managed to follow his van. The BBQ was tasty, but it was perhaps a bit too cold to really enjoy too far from the fire. Too bad Alex can't control the weather, but that's forgiven because the sausages and hot juice were tasty. :) While we tried different spots, we couldn't see any obvious aurora that night, but we managed to go back to the same spots the following days and succeeded! We probably wouldn't have if it were not for locating the spots from the tour with Alex. There's only one thing to know about auroras: You have to persist if you hope to see one. Don't plan to stay less than a week in the area where they are susceptible to appear, and wait (up to several hours) in a spot that is free of clouds. When you're on your own of course, as the tours can't last forever. So all good for us, we'd encourage you to try your luck with this kind and friendly guide. Note: No tour can guarantee you to view an aurora. The "unlimited mileage" tours are usually unreasonably too expensive, will drive for hours and hours and do not all pay you back the integrity of your money if you don't see any auroras. Best practice is to try your luck on a regular tour like that one, keep in mind the locations and come back on your own. From our experience at least...

Amazing experience offered by an incredible guide

This experience was one of the highlights of our holiday and worth every cent. Aleksei is an incredible guide and a very kind person. He made us feel welcome and approached us as if we've been friends for years. He's been 100% transparent about what he can offer and the retail price of everything we consumed. Straight from the get go he told us that we will set up camp by a lake and in case we're not lucky enough to catch a good look at aurora borealis, we have the option to move camp to a second location. That kind of commitment was very reassuring and appreciated. The sausages and drink he offered were very good quality, not the cheapest or even mid range market items. We loved it so much that we bought some more the following day. The first camp is about 5-7 minutes away from the end of the road, through relatively deep snow, be sure to wear adequate equipment, it gets very cold even well equipped. You won't feel the cold for a while because the scenery is breathtaking but once the novelty wears off you better be wearing winter boots. All in all, the experience will remain in our hearts and memories for years to come and we will do our best to keep in touch with this amazing person.

Super puntual, muchachos muy ordenados y muy atentos en buscar lugar y momento adecuado ver auroras, se logró ver auroras por el conocimiento de ellos de la hora y lugar adecuado. Fotografías hermosas nos tomaron, Elias super amable y educado apesar no hablaba español muy atento. Super bonito la fogata y delicioso todo. Super recomendado
