I didn’t expect much of the zoo but it was one of the highlights! I was able to see wolves and other animals I didn’t expect to see. Collection of owls were amazing. Husky ride was interesting too. I didn’t expect dogs to be so excited to run

we were never took to the observation point (reason unknown - nobody told us why.
Husky and reindeer farms very rushed, didnt get much of a talk or greet with the huskies or reindeers, was just there for the quick rides of both. I thought there would have been more interaction with both.
Hardly saw any animals at the zoo (know this isnt fault of the experience) was an hour drive from the reindeer farm to zoo, so only got a couple hours there so didnt have the time to get round it all.
expressed concerns to viator. No response, will not be using viator or recomending this excursion

Great communication as we had to pay an extra €160 to pick us up as staying a little further away than most, on top of the €600 for the day
Huskeys. 2 minutes max in a circle. Get as many people through as fast as they can. Not great.
Reindeer. Much better and more relaxed. 5 minute ride
Then an hours drive to the zoo
Most of the decent animals aren’t there during the winter so mainly, birds, then deer, fox, wolves. Little shop to spend money in. Best bit was the chocolate shop for us
Then an hours ride back to the drop off point.
No walk to take in the views as advertised.
Kind of glad as we just wanted it to be over.
Very long day, lots of travelling, don’t think it was worth the money if I’m being honest. Gave us something to do I guess but wouldn’t do it again if we ever go back.

I was totally disappointed with the trip as the tour guide didn’t pick us at hotel. The tour guide who claimed waited for us ten minutes and left the hotel reception. When I called the Nordic Unique Travel company and the staff said the tour guide couldn’t return to pick us due to the tour would start without any delay. So I complained to the agent staff and asked for refund because of not my fault and the guide shouldn’t leave us unattended and left. Indeed, I was also joined another trip of aurora hunting with husky ride by Nordic Unique Travel and the tour guide was late for an hour to pick us at hotel reception.Also, complains was made by other travelers of the same tour.
I felt ridiculous about the travel company arrangement and the tour guide attitude.
I would strongly ask for refund for the arctic animal day trip. I was so disappointed with this horrible experience and ruined our holiday memories.. I would say I will never join the tour operate by Nordic Unique Travel company again.
As the booking platform, I hope Viator could liaise with the Nordic Unique Travel company for my refund.

Amazing knowledgeable tour guides! The prefect day to experience dog sledding, enjoy a Reindeer sleigh ride, go on top of the highest point to see amazing views, and visit the zoo. Highly recommend!

our guide, Davide, was absolutely fantastic. was with us every step of the way! highly recommend this tour, especially the wild arctic animals zoo. a walk in the woods, with native and rescued animals, not to be missed! a good learning experience for the whole family. many thanks again to Davide, our attentive multilingual informative tour guide.

Weather was not in our favor. Overall had a great time seeing Rovaniemi's highest point and the animals. Malcom and Angelo were extremely knowledgable and the friendliest tour guides. Highly reccomend for anyone visiting.

Une excursion agréable qui permet une première expérience et d'en apprendre un peu plus sur la faune finoise.

Mi experiencia no fue buena, calidad- precio fatal, encima pague 30 euros más por un guía español para poder entender las explicaciones y todas las daban los finlandeses en inglés. Así que me pusieron el guía que era el conductor en español, él muy amable y me fue explicando algo cndo le dije, pero vamos que pague 30 euros por nada. Además llamé y contrate esta excursión por tlf porque lo que me interesaba era ver como creaban y cuidaban a los huskys y renos en la granja , insistí en sí se visitaban y te explicaban y me dijeron que si, cosa que no fue cierta, 5 minutos de paseo con cada uno y nada más. Me siento muy decepcionada con estas excursiones porq dicen son una cosa pero resultan ser otra, hice unas cntas y solo 1 valió la pena

A penas había luz cuando entramos en el Zoo y a penas se podía ver. Podíamos haber ido al Zoo antes de comer. Además soy de las que digo, que las horas de salida deben de respetarse y no perder más de media hora esperando a gente inscrita que no aparecía en la oficina de la agencia turística y a nosotras nos vieneron a recoger al hotel 15 minutos tarde. Además se atascó una furgoneta del grupo en la nieve al salir de ver a los Renos y nos retrasó más ya que hubo que dar 2 viajes un conductor, para llevar al restaurante a 2 grupos.Al menos decir que nuestro Guía era muy bueno, italiano pero se hacía entender también en inglés y español. Lo mejor del día el Guía Angelo y cuando el grupo se redujo a sólo quienes íbamos en nuestra furgoneta fue todo mejor. La reprimenda es para los organizadores.

Le agradecemos su comentario que nos ayudara a mejorar algunos aspectos para el futuro. Hay que saber que en temporada alta tenemos una gran cantidad de clientes que reservan actividades y no los podemos dejar fuera de juego por esta razon algunas veces puede suceder que tengamos algun que otro retraso y lo sentimos por esto.
