Such a special experience.
Staff were really helpful and informative. We went at 10am mid week and we had the pools almost to ourselves. Perfect

I definitely expected a bit more from the pictures. You go in to the mud pool which is the size of a hot tube and after 20 min you wash off and you can sit in the other warm water or cold water pools.

Kristina_L, Feb 2026
Enjoyable , however way too many people in a communal pool. Adults mixed in with large families of children.
Grant_B, Feb 2026
Great service checking in & the mud bath did not disappoint. Time in the bath was monitored for safety & the rental of swim wear was good.
Gerard_M, Feb 2026

Relaxing to soak in the hot spring baths after the mud bath. Very busy, but it was during the last two weeks of December, so that was to be expected. The sulpher smell on the skin is only noticeable if you put your nose to your skin. I'd suggest renting a bathing suit and towel because even after two washes ours still have a slight sulpher smell. But, I'm sure it will eventually fade. Otherwise, it was great for the skin. Feels so smooth even two days later!

Had a blast! My elder son loved the mud bath! Very well maintained facilities- mud bath, spa and showers!

We tried this for the mud bath experience only. Staff are friendly. They do try to upsell you so I have no comment on that. The facilities are clean and well organized. You can rent swimsuits for 5 nzd which people recommend to keep the smell out of your own swimsuits. I don’t know if that’s true or not. My skin smelled a tiny bit of sulphuric but only if you put your skin against your nose. Definitely a unique experience. It’s only 20 minutes for mud and 20 minutes for the sulphuric hot spring, but in my opinion that’s plenty of time. They have shower facilities with soap for washing afterwards.

Don’t get it in your eyes! It was a fun experience, definitely recommend. Loved it all especially the cold plunge pool after!
Jessica_W, Nov 2025
We persevered with the trip despite the pouring rain and we were assured the rain would make the views even better and they were right! The walk was beautiful. We then hit the mud baths which was really fun and the hot pools after were really relaxing. All the staff were super friendly.

Prabhdeep_K, Jul 2025
Really enjoyed and we feel relaxed after spa and mud bath. We had a great fun and good time with friends.
Rebecca_Z, Jun 2025
My husband and I had a lovely experience. The mud was nice and the hot pool afterwards was very relaxing. We read previous reviews which warned about the sulfur smell hanging around so we packed old bathing suits to throw away at the end. Our skin did smell for a couple days but nothing too terrible. Was a cool experience overall
Pam_J, May 2025
Very enjoyable way to destress. It felt great to smooth on the mud and soak then wash off and continue to soak longer in the hot spring. Wish I could do it every day!
Tanmay_A, Apr 2025
Very nice and relaxing experience. Went there with my wife and had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend others 😊
Mike_d, Apr 2025
It was the first thing we did after checking into our Rotorua hotel. We arrived a couple minutes passed our allotted window, but they were very understanding and nice about it. Staff was clear in their instructions/recommendations.
Wish we had more time in the actual mud bath, as the prep/cleaning in between took more time than I thought. Hot water in the showers and huge towels definitely helped afterwards though. Nonetheless, the mud felt very soothing and relaxing to the skin.
Probably not something one needs to do repeatedly, but it certainly for a unique, (probably) once-in-a-lifetime outing. Would recommend as a bucket-list check off :)
Paul_E, Mar 2025
Some false advertising about 1 hour mudbath. It is a very short time 20mins in mud baths. Barely enough time to cover with mud, then they tell you to get out!
Homayoun_S, Mar 2025
Viator tricked me!
They sold a ticket that I had to pay $200 to a taxi to take me to the picking point.
I could not go and have asked for refund, but no response.
