We are sure you will have a fabulous day out and get to experience a "taste of Rotorua". Join us in experiencing Te Puia which is home to Pohutu Geyser which erupts multiple times in a day, bubbling mud, the kiwi conservation centre and Maori Arts and Crafts Institute where you will see the craftsmen/women at work weaving, wood and bone/ponamu carving. Dine in Pataka Kai for lunch. Next stop Redwoods Treewalk which is a breathtaking view of our Redwood Forest from above on a 700 metre track suspended amongst the forest. Venture into a breathtaking 70-metre eco cave at Redwoods Glowworms - filled with dramatic rock formations and a dazzling display of over 5,000 glowworms. We really enjoyed walking...

We really enjoyed walking around and seeing all the thermal pools (even if it was a bit stinky 😜). The Maori wood carvings was a great a way to finish.

Relaxing time.

You go in and check in for the mud bath, no more than 20minutes, cake urself in mud and relax.then you go into Sulphur pool after showering to get the mud off. For myself I got really burning eyes in the Sulphur pool but I have really sensitive eyes. My husband didn't get any issues.

Messy and magnificent

In the package that we had, we had probably an hour to an hour and a half very gentle walk around the geothermal sites. Our guides were exceedingly knowledgeable and educated us well on both plant and thermal information as well as Māori culture. We felt we learned more about Maori culture here than at the more formal Māori village site.

Hell’s Gate was absolutely incredible! My son and I had the best time exploring this amazing place. From the geothermal wonders to the mud baths, every part of the experience was unforgettable.
