The ride to West Bay Beach was about an hour with a stop at the Rum Cake store. I have bad knees and sat behind the driver, they have a big box on the floor so you can't stretch your legs, so beware. The tour guide was very nice and informative. The water was beautiful with fish swimming about. But there was two things that we did not like. First the cost only includes the ride not the 10 per person entrance fee to the beach. I should have read it move carefully and they should state how much the entrance fee is. Second and the worst part was the merchants walking up and down the beach every two seconds saying No Thank You sometimes more than once! The didn't stop until there were police by us and then they just walked by. As soon as they police left it started all over again. It might be the most beautiful beach on Roatan but our party won't be back.

Did not like the hotel or the beach that the tour operator brought us to. We paid at the hotel for a day package which included lunch and we literally had raw cabbage shredded and some fries. The drinks were made with local water so I thought better to be safe. The pop soda was in large bottles in a dirty cooler. I asked if the Pepsi was cold - he said no but he would add ice - I said no thanks. We left early. Trent was our tour guide and he did a good job. Road to beach was just awful. Will not be going back to this Island or this beach. It was crowded and there were armed security guards keeping vendors away.

This was a great round trip transportation. Camberon our driver was very informative about Mahogany Bay as he was born there. He answered all our questions and more on the hour trip to West Bay Beach from Roatan. He was even going to bring us to a local restaurant but we ran out of time. This trip was a great idea because we really could see how the locals lived. The only recommendation is to provide a map from the port to where we meet Mr. Henry's. It was confusing directions. Much better than a taxi.

We needed help knowing where to go and our driver Sherman took good care of us. He got out of the taxi and made sure we knew where to check in and how to get around. Things were a little crazy the day we went to the beach. Our driver was late, so Trent stepped in and drove us when we needed a ride back to the ship. He even took us somewhere to eat lunch. Our drivers were very good to us.
