Do not do this tour. Choppy waters, no fish, and no natural pool. It was absolutely horrible. Snacks were a stale bag of chips and salsa and sprite that was flat.

Party boat excursion, yes it was - however the music was so blatently loud, it hurt your ears. 1 couple left because of this and had to be picked up after Sara (the person controlling the music and song selection refused to turn down the volume). There was several young kids, 2 elderly parents and a few others of us that asked for the music to be turned down and Sara told us that it was a party boat and that's the way it was. Also, the music had a lot of N-word, F-word, cussing in most of the music - not appropriate for the group on this trip. She did not care. The other crew members were generally nice. To get onto the main ship we had to walk through about 100 yards to dense seaweed to a poorly conditioned small boat that they had us cram 4 people across each row of seating, the seating should only have had 3 people. There were not enough life vests on the small boat to accommodate everyone. The main boat might have had enough life vests however, they were not readily seen/available. The restroom on the main ship did not have a working toliet to flush or running water for you to wash your hands afterwards. I don't think this ship was registered with the country as well, there were no markings on the ship hull or structure like other ships seen in the water. Very poor experience. I'd like a refund, however based on how the crew acted that day, I doubt they were accommodate my request.

Unfortunately, we cannot control for the seaweed. This is a natural, seasonal occurrence. I will do my best to get everything else you mentioned addressed.

A good time even with younger kids. However, probably best without as the crowd is mostly adults looking to have a good time. Crew was great! Snorkel time was limited which we knew but wish it was just a little longer…. The water was a bit rough so it was a lot to swim out to see more fish… other than that it was a good time!

If you are looking for a place to do snorkeling with your kids, this is not the place. This is more for adults that would like to go out on a Catamaran hang out and have fun!

Worst experiance! Would never recommend, tire blew on way there. No swim time, and no food. Had 1 tortilla chip and brought my own water! !

When I booked this trip I was told I could book the whole boat if I sold all 60 tickets. We were taking a group of high school seniors so I sold all 60 to get the whole boat. I paid all the money and we were set for our trip on Wednesday April 3 from 2:30pm-6:30pm. Upon arrival we checked in and I noticed other people not from our group waiting as well. Turns out they were all going the the boat with us. I told the gentleman in charge that I paid for 60 tickets for the whole boat. He laughed and said this boat holds over double that amount and they didn’t do private cruises. He called the owner of the boat and he said the same thing. I could have combined the other boat our group rented and we could’ve all been together but I was told only 60 on our boat. We did not want to be with strangers. We finally boarded the boat at almost 3:00pm. While we did have a good time once on the boat, it was not what we were promised or paid for. Also it was not a four hour boat ride, more like 3 hours, which again is misinformation. I understand there are language barriers but this was deceitful. I got a $3800 semi-private 3 hour tour when all I paid for a private 4 hour boat ride. The staff apologized all over themselves and said they had no control over what I was told by Viator. What was I gonna do, I was stuck in the Dominican Republic and didn’t have a leg to stand on. It was very disheartening and I will not recommend Viator to anyone.

We did this cruise as part of our large family vacation to Punta Cana. They picked us up from our resort, Dreams Onyx, and dropped us back after the excursion.
On arriving there, we all had to sign a waiver and then the crew guided us on how to board the boat from the beach. The crew are all friendly, entertaining and a lively bunch. Our first stop was to go snorkeling in the ocean for 20 minutes. They had us strap on those standard lifejackets around our waist so they functioned as buoyancy belts and then to put on the snorkeling mask. They even allowed those who did not know swimming, but wanted to get the experience to try one at a time with their lifeguard. Just wish we could have snorkeled for double the time, as this was our favorite part. We then got near the dolphin area where we could see several of the visiting dolphins for 10 mins from the boat. And then to a beach where several boats docked so the passengers could all get into the 4.5' of water and play around here for about an hour. Just before getting into the water, Jackson had everyone do a line dance number with him which was simple and fun for all.
The only reason I dropped a star was while the drinks were simple but good (rum or vodka with coke or sprite), the food was just cut up fruits. Tasty, but I think every was expecting something more like a light lunch than just fruits. And also, the shuttle bus that was supposed to pick us up at 11, only showed up closer to 11:20.
But the crew were a lot of fun, and even joined in with the older adults as they danced to South Indian (Malayalam) songs being played on the speaker. They also had a photographer taking everyone's pictures - couples, families and solos for any of who were interested and those actually came out really good. You do have to negotiate the price for the pictures at the end, and we ended up at $300 for all of the pictures that were transferred right away to a couple of our iPhones.

Pros:
- Crew was very fun and nice! They let us play our own music :)
- Entire family enjoyed the entire trip
- The crew took the boat by the dolphin area so we were able to see quite a few. This was not part of the cruise and was a nice surprise!
- Good drinks!
- They brought us to the "natural pool" where we could wade in the water (waist-level). This was very fun! One of the crew members walked around constantly handing us drinks.
- The crew member took really good photos of the entire experience
Cons:
- Only few snacks were available (fruits, chips)
- Snorkling was very very short, only about 10min and about 5min for the few that got in the water last. Only saw very small fish and they were pretty far away so while the experience was fun, I wish we had seen more.
- "Natural Pool" is not actually a natural pool; just beachside in the ocean. But the water was super pretty and warm.
- Crew photography was crazy expensive ($30/person) but we were able to haggle down to $16/person. And he was somewhat aggressive in taking couple/individual pictures of everyone even when they didn't want to.

Not a snorkeling cruise at all. Maybe 10 minutes of snorkeling with little to no fish, just looking at old chairs and tables they placed underwater. This is a party boat 100%. We brought our two children because it said it was child friendly and was a snorkeling cruise but they had to listen to inappropriate music blasting in their ears while half naked girls twerked in front of them.

Natural pool was dirty and too crowded with many boats. Our experience 5 years back was totally different. It was so good. But we were very disappointed

I'm sorry that you were disappointed. Although rare, DR experiences storms like everywhere else. As a result, the water appeared less calm and clear than what you experienced when you visited previously. But that does not mean the natural pool was dirty or polluted. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather. We also cannot control the number of boats in this area as it is a public location. Travelers who would like to avoid these crowds should book our private party boat or inquire about which times are the least crowded.

It is a party boat as advertised - an opportunity to get out on the water and have a good time. Our host, Ismael Luis, was the best and made sure we had everything we needed!
