      King Charles IV statue located right next to Charles Bridge on the East side (Old Town), your guide will be right under / next to the statue. This is a very central location. Please make sure to arrive 10 minutes before the start.

    • Please note - there is one solid set of stairs to walk up to Vysehrad, the rest is mostly flat surface walking and down stairs. We walk around 3.5 km, the activity level for this experience is Moderate.
    • Please note - this tour ends at "Vyton" tram stop, very easy to get back to the meeting point.
    • ❗️To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start. Late arrivals create confusion and it may not be possible to locate the group afterward. *Please note that late arrivals will not be refunded.
    • Please note - do not expect to see a fancy castle halls and interiors - Vysehrad used to be a medieval castle, later rebuilt into a baroque fortress
    • * Due to weather conditions and the nature of this tour, it is available only from late March to end of October.
    • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 11 travelers

    Vyšehrad is truly a hidden gem in Prague. While most visitors flock to the Old Town and Charles Bridge, few take the time to explore this serene and historic part of the city offering some of the most beautiful views and quiet charm Prague has to offer. Our guide Sebastian was so very passionate about this which made the experience all the more better. Go for it !!!

    What a wonderful tour. Our guide Josef was knowledgeable and courteous. We learned so much about the castle ground, in addition to rich info on both czech republic and Prague. The paranomic view was priceless. The free cafe visit was a sweet treat. Highly recommended!

    Do not miss a tour of Vysehrad Castle! Ondra and Josef of PragueWay Tours share the colorful history of the Castle itself and great insight into present day Prague culture, and how it came to be. The views of the city beyond Prague 1 are breathtaking and interesting. From ancient mythology to the imperial power dynamics, through the 20th century wars and challenges, to art, architecture, and what to do on your visit, they cover it all. If you want to get away from tourist crowds and the top hits on every guide, and learn a ton of history and cultural context, with some very pleasant and knowledgeable people, this tour will not disappoint.
