AVOID this company at all costs

    Elion_A, Jul 2026
AVOID this company at all costs. We had a private tour (Bohemian Saxon Switzerland) on the 10th of June. This was a significant amount of money and we had been on previous private tours to national parks so knew what standard to expect, but this fell far below expectations. In short- there were 2 stops on this trip. During the whole day the guide told us one fact about the area we visited (that there had recently been a fire near the first stop) and no other information. He left us to hike the areas by ourselves (some time on our own would have been okay/expected, but we literally spent basically the entire day on our own- we might as well have just gotten a taxi rather than paying for a private guide). He left us at one of the stops and said he would meet us “back at the car” (a long hike away) where we later found him asleep across the front seats of the car in a “no parking zone”. We’d also notified the tour company about dietary requirements weeks prior to the tour and we were assured that the guide would take us somewhere we could eat for lunch. Due to the guide leaving us at the first stop to go and sleep in his car, he was not around to help us communicate with the restaurant about allergens. When we asked for assistance taking us to somewhere where we could eat, he seemed stressed and told us it was hard to find gluten free places in the countryside and stressing about this. He had weeks to look into this, and if it was found to be an issue they could have told me to bring a packed lunch, but they didn’t- they assured me it would be fine to find a restaurant. At the second stop which was Bastei Bridge, he told us nothing about the bridge, and just told us he was going to go to the restaurant and we could go for a walk “and there was a bridge we could look at”. That was it and we were left to try and find our own way there (there were multiple directions and we found it tricky to find the correct place for viewing the bridge). The whole day we had to ask random strangers to take photos of us, listen in to other people's tour guides and google things ourselves to find out any information about the area. He drove without a seatbelt… just as an added comment. It does not feel that we got the experience we paid for when our “guide” wasn’t with us for any of our time at the stops and gave us no information about the areas we were visiting? We provided this feedback to the company directly to give them a chance to resolve it with us directly following our poor experience but they opted to stop responding to us. We would expect a partial refund of our tour given the poor experience we had but company seems disinterested in this.

Thank you for your review. We are genuinely sorry that the tour did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify several important points. Statement from Peter, your guide "I dropped you off directly at the entrance to the National Park so that you could enjoy the most beautiful hiking route from the very beginning. If he had parked the car first, you would have had to walk along the road from the parking area. My intention was to provide you with the best possible experience by allowing you to enter the park immediately while he parked the vehicle and met you later at the agreed location. I would also like to point out that your tour did not include entrance fees to either the National Park or Bastei Bridge. Nevertheless, I paid these entrance fees for you to make your experience more enjoyable, at no additional cost. Regarding lunch, I sincerely apologize that the only restaurant located inside the National Park does not offer gluten-free options. Unfortunately, this is completely outside our control. I also understood from your communication before the tour that you would be bringing your own packed lunch, so we believed this arrangement would be suitable. I must also correct the statement that I only shared one fact during the day. The drive to the park takes approximately two hours each way, and throughout those journeys I explained the history of the region, local culture, the National Park, and many interesting facts about the places you were visiting. I made a photos of you how you wished. By the way it Is a little big strange for me that you told me nothing And you wrote after one month from the tour that you want return money back. One month... But I want to make you the best tour And I am very sad you have this feelings " Peter Finally, we have been working with this guide for over six years. During that time, he has never received a negative review and has consistently been praised by our guests for his professionalism, friendliness, knowledge, and dedication. We fully stand behind him and are confident that everything he did that day was with the intention of giving you the best possible experience. We respect every guest's opinion and always strive to improve. At the same time, we believe it is important that future guests also have the full context when reading reviews. We wish you all the best in your future travels.
