Fantastic day experience with Antonio and his staff! Tastings were done with so much exchange of area culture and basic wine information in the Douro wine area by very informed educators.

This was the perfect day excursion in the Douro Valley, with a little bit of everything! Antonio was so friendly and knowledgeable of the area. the itinerary he provides was the perfect blend of tours, views, and drinks! We were staying near Regua and he even dropped us off at our hotel after. Even if you are staying in Porto it is worth taking the train out for this!

10/10 - No Notes!! António is simply the best! The entire day felt like an elevated hang out with a friend that knows all the best spots and people! He goes above and beyond to show you the Douro Valley in a way that is authentic, personal, and entirely at your pace. His knowledge of the region and history is excellent and he presents it all in a very approachable way. The MANY(!) ports, wines, and bites we tasted were amazing and only matched by the views and scenery he shows you along the way. Being in Régua/Douro for only a couple of days, his tour made it feel like we accomplished a week’s worth of activity in one day without feeling even remotely overwhelmed. Can’t recommend António and his tour enough if you’re visiting the area!

We spent a fantastic, perfectly curated day with António, learning about the history of the Douro Valley and the production of port. He clearly put so much thought and experience into making our tour memorable. From the boat trip down the river, to port & tonics at Crofts, to the viewpoint where António generously shared the port he makes, to wine tasting at Dios Lagares and finally, lunch in the magical garden at Casa dos Barros (with more port tastings!), the day could not have been more perfect. It’s hard to imagine a more wonderful guide—António is so personable, patient, interesting and knowledgeable. So glad we chose this tour!

My husband and I booked this as one of our honeymoon activities and it was perfect! Antonio took us to all the best spots with plenty of wine tastings spread throughout the tour. He was also very helpful in taking pictures of us throughout our time which was greatly appreciated and my favorite photos of us from our trip! The views were beautiful, the wine was amazing and we learned a lot about how the grapes are grown and processed in the region. Since we have gotten home we have just been gushing about our trip and particularly this tour. Highly recommend touring Duoro with Antonio, I wouldn't do it any other way when we come back!

I highly recommend this tour of the beautiful Duoro Valley. Antonio is an excellent tour guide, friendly and informative. The places we visited were awesome. One better than the other. Lunch was great and the views were spectacular. Don’t miss it, ask for Antonio.

We cannot recommend this tour and António enough! From the beginning of the day when we were picked up at our accomodation till the end we were treated like absolute VIPs. António has a wealth of knowledge and a wonderful relationship with all of the local businesses- as well as expert photography skills. We cannot imagine any tour around Douro could be better than this. As debut port drinkers, we weren’t sure what to expect, but Antonio’s enthusiasm, expertise as well as the delicious wines fully converted us! Every aspect of the tour offered something unique- from the boat cruise, the wineries, the viewpoint and the lunch we could not have asked for more. Great value for money and certainly superior to the larger group tours that are offered by other providers. Even if you only have a single day in the Douro- this is how you should spend it! We will be recommending to all of our friends and family!

Not only did he show us around, but he also shared all the history behind each spot and the region. He's basically a walking wine & port encyclopedia. Antonio has put a lot of thought into the ideal tour. It certainly checked all of our boxes, and more! We started with a boat tour and enjoyed the view of the valley from the river. From there, we had a nice wine and olive oil tasting with an independent producer. We next went to a larger producer that had a very curated space, followed by a special glass of port provided by Antonio at an amazing viewpoint. We then had lunch in an amazing manor house complete with copious amounts of wine and port! At each step of the way, Antonio provided interesting and relevant information and did so with a great sense of humor and a personable warmth. We were very fortunate to have four ladies from Chicago who added to the pleasure of the experience!
On our next trip to Douro, we will be hiring Antonio!

This tour was a highlight for us. Antonio was the most wonderful guide, providing so many warm touches like sharing port from his family’s vineyard and having glasses for us on the boat ride when others were drinking from the plastic cups. We learned so much about the port production and we were able to taste so many different ports during the day. Even though it rained the entire tour, we still had a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Well worth the money and recommend to everyone as a way to see the beautiful region while getting to try all different types of wine throughout the day. Antonio is not only a tour guide he will be your friend when finished. He goes out of his way to give you a day of fun, relaxation and safety. His car is impeccable, he brings water, and wine glasses as many of the wineries give you plastic. I have been to wine regions all over the world and his service is probably one of the best I’ve had. He is getting booked so I would suggest getting on his dance card sooner rather than later.
