Our Douro Valley experience with Fernando from Infinity Douro was exceptional from start to finish. Traveling with young children can be tricky, but Fernando made everything feel effortless. He was incredibly patient, kind, and flexible with the kids, and his calm, easygoing energy set the tone for a truly relaxing day.
Fernando thoughtfully selected two fantastic small-to-mid-size, family-run wineries—each with breathtaking views and excellent wines. These were not touristy stops; they felt personal, authentic, and deeply connected to the region. Exactly the kind of experience we were hoping for.
His van was immaculate, spacious, and very comfortable, and he provided proper car seats for the children, which immediately put us at ease. Beyond the tour itself, Fernando went above and beyond by helping us coordinate transportation around the region, something that is incredibly valuable in the Douro Valley region where rideshares are limited and unreliable. That kind of local knowledge and willingness to help makes a huge difference.
Fernando is knowledgeable without being pretentious, easy to talk to, and genuinely passionate about the Douro. If you’re even slightly on the fence about booking this tour—don’t hesitate. Just book it.
For context, we were visiting from San Francisco, CA (USA) and have high standards when it comes to food, wine, and overall experience. Fernando exceeded all of them.

Had a great day with Fernando. We weren’t sure but this is definitely a private tour, which gives great flexibility for what you like to do and when. He was able to adjust the timings for us based on the trains and weather.
The selection of small vineyards was excellent with great views, nice people, and of course great wines. The boat ride was charming. Ours had a self guided app tour and we did 1H but I bet you could ask for longer or with more official tour and he could make it happen.
He is a nice guy, it is just him a personal company so not a big business, so he is quite responsive and accommodating
Don’t hesitate to book you won’t be disappointed.

Great way to spend a day in the Douro. Our guide Fernando was great - a very calm driver who bought us to two amazing and different Quintas for tastings as well as a boat tour. I also thought it was great that lunch was not included so we were able to choose the type of meal we wanted and Fernando brought us to a great tapas place! I would recommend this tour to others.

Fernando was a great driver and had a nice, clean van. He picked us up right on time and took us to some really great, smaller wineries with amazing views and stories. He was also really flexible and let us adjust our tour slightly when we needed to be back to the train station at a specific time.

This was a wonderful day trip with Fernando! He showed us incredibly beautiful parts of the Douro Valley including a stop at a wine tasting where we sat outside overlooking the magnificent terraced mountains and the Douro River. The day also featured a lunch stop right on the Douro River, a river boat cruise and a visit to a winery run by a charming and warm family. The day went very smoothly, from pick-up to drop-off, and Fernando orchestrated everything from start to finish. We highly recommend this tour with Fernando!

We had a most beautiful informative and memorable experiences. Visiting two wineries gave us different views on wine growing and production action. Fernando was very friendly and ensured that we had plenty time to enjoy the wineries, lunch, and the boat ride. He went above and beyond; stopping far local supermarket so we could provision for our stay at a villa in the Douro Valley. Thank you Fernando for a wonderful day in the Duoro Valley!
