Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining! She made sure that the 6 of us saw the most important works of art in the Louvre within our two hour semi private tour! Everything from the medieval beginnings of the Louvre discovered 150 years ago to statues from the Greek and Roman periods. And of course, the most important paintings. My husband and I were very happy with the tour!

Loved our guide, Claire! Nice approachable style. Great pace. Loved the earpiece that allowed us to hear the commentary over the noise of others in the area. With the small group it was easy to see our guide and we didn’t have to be continually looking for stragglers. Claire engaged well with all members of our group and explained topics in an interesting manner…without being condescending that some of us didn’t know our French history. Slight British accent but easily understood. Loved the tour and the guide. Thanks!

Scary tour guide not friendly and just rude… sat in corner and wanted us to stand there and listen to him rather than move around the area & take in the art even though we had earpieces to hear him. He was wearing a black T-shirt. He didn’t have any kind of hat or flag so it made it difficult too find him and he was just cranky when you asked questions He was like very defensive.

Our guide Sarah was on time, fun, knowledgeable, personable and passionate! My wife does not like museums or tours but even she had a great time. As for me, I have been looking forward to visiting the Louvre for a very long time. Booking this tour made it worth while and even better than expected. You really cannot “take in” this museum in one day, so get a guide, skip the line, hit the highlights with great insights, and really enjoy the precious time you have set aside for this incredible place.

We had an excellent experience. The small group gave a more intimate tour of the art and history of the Louvre. Our guide Avi was great. His deep knowledge of art history gave an in depth tour of the Louvre, its art and its history. I would highly recommend the semi-private tour to anyone seeking a timer sensitive tour of the Louvre.

Anna was awesome! With her art background, she made the paintings come alive. Even for those of us who are not interested in art she caught our attention with history behind the paintings. We covered a lot in the 2 1/2 hours that we were there. Anna was professional, friendly and a true guide. We really enjoyed our tour. We especially liked the ear pieces, we were very impressed with them. I wish we had them elsewhere on our other tours as well.

We spent a week in Paris and booked several tours. This tour was by far the most disappointing. The biggest issue was that although we were only two people, it was almost impossible to hear the guide. She did not have any kind of microphone set-up and she spoke very softly. The museum was packed and we had to lean in so closely to hear her that if she had Covid, we will have too. Although we booked through Viator the tour was conducted by LivTours. LivTours is large and experienced enough to know that in a museum as crowded as the Louvre a microphone system, regardless of the size of the group, is essential. We had a tour of Versailles with another company, again just two people, and the guide had a personal mike system that was great.
Secondly, the guide kept us in just one section of the museum. It would have been much more interesting to see more of the museum. We went up and down in the same wing and really didn't get a sense of the scope what the museum has to offer. I realize it's impossible to see the whole of the Louvre in two hours but she could have done a much better job of showing us different areas and varying the objects more. We left feeling we didn't really see much at all. In the end, my sense was that the guide didn't really put much thought into the tour. She just did her standard thing and was out the door after two hours on the dot.

These people are a bunch of thieves!!!! We spent over $600 dollars for this tour, we showed up 10mins late. We communicated with both the company and your coordinator. When we arrived, we could not find the coordinator because his phone was dead. We spoke to the company and they instructed us that he was waiting and where he would be. We found and the guy was out of it!!!! His phone was dead and he said the tour guides phone was dead as well. We called the company 5xs for assistance and they were rude and stated they had no way to get in contact with the tour guide. We requested a refund since they could not provide any information and they hung up one us. Now we are attempting to get a refund from Viator and they too are refusing to issue a refund. I am disgusted with this entire situation and will be disputing the charge on my card.

We regret that you did not have a great experience with us, however your feedback neglects to admit that your group was extremely late.
Our company should not be called thieves or crooks for adhereing to a policy we make very clear prior to your booking.
Our call recordings show that you had called our team at 11:13 AM, more than 30 minutes after the instructed meeting time, and 13 minutes after the tour commencement. At that point, you had not yet reached the meeting point. Our greeter managed to meet you at 11:25 AM, 40 minutes after the meeting time of the tour.
To respect our other clients booked on a small group tour, and to ensure tickets are not compromised (as they are timed) we are very clear that our tours must start on time.
Our greeter did provide you with entry tickets so you were able to at least visit on your own. Additonally, we offered you a place on our 2 PM tour out of goodwill which your family refused.
Again, we do regret the circumstances as we wish all of our guests to have an excellent tour with us, but your review is not an accurate account of your experience. We are saddened to read that our efforts to help you were not appreciated.

Our guide (Avi) was phenomenal! The Louvre is an incredibly overwhelming task to peruse individually in a short period of time. This tour saved us from that impossible task! We were expertly navigated through the museum capturing the highlights of the vast collection of masterpieces within the walls of this enormous structure. From the ease of entry (avoiding the crazy lines we witnessed in the square when we met our guide/group) to the storytelling of the history of the grounds and artwork (especially with Avi's fantastic sense of humor), this tour was hands-down the highlight of our time in Paris!

Blurta was one of best museum guides we have ever had. And we have hired guides at dozens of museums world-wide. We've been to Louvre many, many times. She is great. She is a recent Art History graduate and her knowledge and explanations made many pieces of art come alive and make sense in their context. Why was something painted or sculpted the way it is. She was soo much better than staring at a painting and saying: "gee thats nice". Soo much better than some guides who just recite memorized facts and figures about dates of painting and subject matter. YES of course she shows you the Mona Lisa, BUT she also explains why it's interesting and has some great background info. REALLY appreciated her effort. Literally would take a tour with her again

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending several hours with the most knowledgeable and scholarly Sebastian. He brought each painting to life as he explained the history and nuances of the paintings and the painters. We have previously visited the Louvre, but we learned so much from Sebastian in the few hours of our tour. I highly recommend Sebastian and this tour.
