    The museum did not accept these tickets! This company did not give me a QR code to scan the tickets but told me to get them there. So $60 lost & had to pay for tickets again. Very disappointed! I’d give it zero stars if I could!

    Complaint of fraudulent tickets

    Subject: Request for Full Refund – Fraudulent Museum Tickets (Booking Reference: 1411189433) Dear Viator Customer Support, I am writing to formally complain about a very disappointing experience involving tickets I purchased through Viator for the Musée Marmottan Monet. I purchased two entrance tickets for the museum and paid SGD 69.15. Upon arrival, I presented the Viator confirmation details at the museum entrance. However, the museum staff informed me that the tickets were fraudulent and that the museum has no agreement with the operator who issued them. The staff member further explained that they had encountered several similar incidents involving tickets purchased through Viator. She also asked how much I had paid and was surprised to learn that the amount charged was significantly higher than the museum’s actual admission fee. Fortunately, the staff member was extremely kind and provided us with two complimentary tickets so that we could still enter the museum. Without her assistance, we would have been denied entry despite having paid for tickets through your platform. Copies of the complimentary tickets can be forwarded upon request. I have purchased many tours and activities through Viator in the past and have generally found the operators to be reliable and the services satisfactory. However, this incident is completely unacceptable. It is deeply concerning that tickets sold through Viator could be rejected by the venue as fraudulent. Given that the tickets I purchased were not recognized by the museum and could not be used for admission, I request a full refund of SGD 69.15. I have attached the relevant documentation and would appreciate a prompt investigation into this matter, including a review of the operator responsible for issuing these tickets.     We never received our tickets from Viator. We only got a voucher and were told that our voucher would redeemed at our “meeting point”. There was no representative at the museum and it took some time and a lot of talking to be admitted to the museum.

    Wr booked this tour through Viator. It was poorly organized, and wrongly advertised and wrongly instructed. We paid €60 for two adults with advertised skip the line ticket (it is €14 at the gate for each adult). We were told to get our tickets at redemption meeting point, but it never point out where the redemption point is. We went to the Musee Marmottan Monet museum and the museum won’t accept the E-tickets sent to us by Viator by email. We end up have to get another two tickets to get in. Even museum people laughed at us why you need to pay €60 through Viator you can get €14 a ticket at the gate. There is no such thing skip the line from Viator from this museum. For people to buy tickets for this museum there is no reason to do it through Viator. You can get it through museum directly: we have done many happy trips with Viator, but this one were deeply hurt.

    There was no signage in English that indicated a redemption location. Although we were granted entry we were repeatedly told the museum does not recognize Viator nor any form of a voucher. The museum was well organized and the Monet pieces were amazing.

    Online ordering should make entering easier not harder

    I was disappointed that the price was much higher than the actual entrance fee and did not include an audio guide. Plus, they said it was not a valid entrance fee when I tried to skip the ticket counter so I had to go back to the ticket counter and wait in line and to be told that this is a common problem with the software and you should have just come here as it would have been cheaper and easier.

    I want a refund! This was terrible. My tickets were not accessible via email or through the app. We arrived at the venue and could not get in with this purchase. The employees at the ticket desk at the museum indicated that this is a frequent issue with this “tour package “. Also the tickets we purchased through Viator were more than double the actual ticket prices and offered no additional services. Total rip off! We had to then buy additional tickets at the museum to enter. Terrible, terrible service experience.

    I just have to say I am a HUGE fan of Viator and will use them again for our next vacation. I made 4 reservations this trip and all of them went perfectly, except Marmottan Monet. I didn’t receive the email with the barcode, when we went to the billettier, there was no record of our tickets even though all through Viator was our confirmation, that we had paid etc. luckily, they were very understanding and let us in the museum, but it’s a 30 minute car ride out to the museum so we planned our entire day around that. Again, Viator is great, but that’s the kind of glitch that can really throw off a trip. My mom is ridiculously charming and that’s what got us in.

    Received a voucher for entry with instructions to show to get tickets. Did not receive tickets via email- just a link to the voucher. The Musuem would not honor the voucher and had no record of our name in the system. No response from the tour operator via the app and currently trying to convince Viator to refund.

    It is marketed as the largest Monet collection in the world and maybe that is true. But that does not mean it is big... The collection can be seen in less than an hour and many of the most famous paintings are not there... Also, we had bought tickets but no one cared to check them, the doors were open and guards checked your bags but no one checked for tickets... The park outside is quite nice! :-)

    When o got to the museum I showed the voucher along with the pdf file you sent. I was told I had been scammed. So I had to pay for entrance to the museum. Even though I paid Viator $60 for an entrance that cost me 28 euro. I want a refund!!!! I had received an email that ticket delivery was delayed. I received my ticket after my visit to the museum.     Don’t get your tickets on viator!!! I went to the front desk to redeem my voucher and she said that they do not do that here. I told her that it said to go to the “rendezvous point” to redeem it but she said it wasn’t possible. It is much better to get the ticket at the museum! The museum itself is stunning and would recommend coming!

    Our last visit was spectacular, but this one was disappointing as the special nature of this museum was the history of Monet from his beginnings through his death including his period with poor eyesight. A special exhibition appears to have replaced many of the Monets that we previously saw. The Boudin exhibition was good but not nearly as good as the Monet that we previously saw. The museum also touted downloading an app so that one could scan your favorite paintings and develop a personalized book. We both tried and could not get the scans to work. We will be back but will check before we go as to the completeness of the Monet exhibit.
