Arc de Triomphe visit

On the day of the visit, my tickets were canceled by the host saying Arc de Triomphe was closing at 2, which it wasn’t. I had to buy tickets on another site. Hopefully, my refund processes quickly. I would recommend walking up and getting tickets at the Arc.

Worst tour company ever, no customer service. Run away.

This was the worst tour we have ever done. We tried to exchange the vouchers for tickets and they would not be accepted at the ticket office, I sent messages to the Tour company and no one got back to us. They still haven’t replied back and it’s been four days. I would never use these people again, If my life depended on it. You can see all the other reviews I do on Tripadvisor and there are plenty. My reviews are truthful and mostly positive when I post. This is something to stay away from like the plague. If you’re even thinking about using this company, stop, shut your computer down and turn it off. Do not book with these people. It is a scam, another couple in line had the exact same problem and also had to purchase tickets. We had to go out and buy tickets that day to go to the top of the arc. Very disappointed.

Arc de Triomph offering is a ripoff!

While I have had good experiences with Viator before, its Arc de Triomphe offering was a complete ripoff! I am so ticked I may never use Viator again. First, its offering has no value. Since it won’t make the actual tickets available in advance and the regular on-site ticket office apparently does not have long lines, the customer gains nothing by signing up and paying more in advance. There are other problems too involved to detail here but the main one is your failure to describe the “redemption” place, causing much useless effort and confusion in trying to determine where it is. Apparently there was none, unless it was the regular ticket office, which had no ability to deal with your vouchers. I’d like for you to return my money. Wendell Lindsay

Nearly impossible with a wheelchair. Too many steps up and down. It was very interesting when actually inside and then at the top. Good views.

There is no provision for getting to the Arc without climbing stairs and crossing the very busy street. We did find a crosswalk at the end.

I think we were scammed

Bought tickets 3 and half hours before event. Got to venue 40 mins early. All I ever received was a "voucher" from viator. Clearly stating these were not my tickets. Asked employee working event for assistance and said sorry cant help you and to just wait in line. I kept attempting to find my tickets via email and viator website. Then it would prompt me to download the app. When I download the app it was worse than the site. Finally got to the front of the line with wife and 3 year old daughter 30 mins after our scheduled time and employee scanned the barcode viator provided and there were still no tickets. Ran into multiple people with the same experience using viator. I paid 100 dollars for tickets I never received.

According to our records, the valid entry barcode was already shared prior to your scheduled visit. In many cases, the barcode provided through the Viator booking system itself works directly at the entrance without requiring any additional printed ticket. We understand the situation at the venue was stressful, especially while traveling with your family. However, the entry system at Arc de Triomphe is managed directly by the monument staff, and unfortunately delays at the security and ticket verification line can happen during busy hours. We did a last minute reservation at the Arch de Triomph while we were standing in line and in about 20 mins we got our tickets and were able to enter.

1 hour will be enough time. Make sure you use the tunnel under the road to reach the Arc!! The tunnel is accessible on the right side if the Champs-Élysées coming up from the shops

Well worth the steps to the terrace! Had a beautiful blue sky day and could look out over all of Paris clearly and it was stunning! Be sure Viator sends you the tickets with a QR code! We showed up with the voucher that just had our Viator order number and was turned away. I had to get out of the entrance line (after waiting in the security line for 10 minutes) and started an online chat with support. He apologized that they weren’t sent ahead of time and quickly emailed the correct ticket.)

that you HAVE to download the app to get the official tickets. I tried to use the tickets in the pdf format that was sent to me, and was told they wouldn't work. Thankfully the girl checking tickets, was kind and helped me I had to download the app and then helped me find the tickets

Look for the underground tunnel to get you safely to the Arc. The stair case is narrow and winding but beautiful.

Great views from top of the arc. They have a nice gift shop as well. Went down champs boulevard as well.

A fascinating history

It was special in many ways. Going through the tunnel and coming up at the Arc de Triomphe was awe inspiring. Being stood on a massive roundabout with cars, bikes, police vehicles and the odd idiot running across in front of these vehicles was spectacular and scary. The climb to the top can be difficult for some, but the view is remarkable even when cloudy.
