The salsa lesson began on time. The instructors were delightful and patient. I would take lessons weekly if I were local.

I've taken many salsa dance lessons and this one was the best by far. Elimer has wonderful teaching techniques that even had my stoic husband ready to sign up for more lessons. He is also very friendly and has an extensive dance resume for a young man. We are now ready to learn more Afro Cuban and Cuban dance on our next visit it Panamá.

The location for the class is a small, cute studio. The instructor was great... explained things & repeated basics as much as we needed. That portion lasted about an hour. The next part got weird... I thought we would go dancing in the "wild" but instead he took us to the Hilton Casino. He offered to dance with each of us then literally bounced. Granted he said he wasn't feeling well but he could have at least told us other places to go on our own. We sat there for about an hour waiting for the "show". We watched a dance group perform then we left. I found a dancehall party for us to go to and have fun.
I booked what I thought was a salsa night. It was really an overpriced class that dumped us off.

This was a great evening and a great introduction to salsa! The instructor did a wonderful job of explaining and showing each of us how to move! Ending at a club was fun and I’d definitely recommend this tour!

It was my last night in Panama and i decided to book this Salsa class, it was one of the best highlights for me in Panama. I had such an amazing time. My instructor was really patient while teaching me the steps for someone who has never danced before. He has convinced me to take up Salsas classes when I get back home. I had a private lesson with Francisco who was very patient with me as I negotiated my “two left feet”. By the end of the lesson, I felt like I had started to master the basics.
I had assumed that we would be immediately heading to a salsa club elsewhere in Casco Viejo. I was surprised when he said that the next activity would be at the Tropicana Salsa Club at the casino within the Hilton along Avenida Balboa. As the event was over an hour later, Francisco was very kind to drop me off at my hotel in another neighborhood where I refreshed before heading back out to the Hilton.
When I arrived at the Hilton, I easily found the Tropicana but I never found Francisco. I tried using the chat support to reach him or somebody but never got a response. I have to assume that either he got lost in the crowd himself or never came.
In any event, the dance performance was fun to watch. As I had arrived just in time, I watched the event mostly on the video screens that the casino was thoughtful enough to provide. After a snack break following the performance, I watched the live salsa band play for a while but no one had yet dipped their toe onto the dance floor. It certainly wasn’t gonna be me as I was not going to cold-approach what I presumed would be experienced amateurs; I had thought perhaps Francisco would help facilitate those opportunities by asking for patients from would-be partners. In any event, after maybe twenty minutes of the band, I made my way back to my hotel.
In summary, I had a great experience with my lesson. The subsequent situation at the club is where I remove my star. But I definitely recommend lessons at Salsa Safari: I already knew they were popular and if you have even more coordination than I do, you’ll learn a lot and have a lot of fun!

We had a great time at our salsa class. The instructors were patient and really helpful and we brushed up on our steps. Marvin, who was terrific, took us to the the Selina rooftop salsa club and danced with us and made us feel comfortable. This was the highlight of our trip to Panama.

We had such a great time! We learned the basic steps of Salsa and after the hour of class we went to a bar where the locals danced salsa and we continued dancing there.

My wife and I were ecstatic about our experience with Salsa Safari.
Our class was fun and exciting. Our instructor, Nelson, was patient and thorough.
We are beginners and over 55 years old. We were comfortable and welcomed in the group. Most of our group were mature so don't let age discourage you.
After class we went to a local hotel to show off our new skills. It too was exciting and fun. We were very comfortable as beginners to get on the dance floor. It was great to get to know my classmates and instructors.
If you really want a great evening with a lot of fun, this is the tour for you. This tour, alone, was worth the trip to Panama!

After learning basic steps in a studio, we were taken to a casino where we danced our steps to the amusement of the locals. Then we watched a salsa show, danced one song with the instructor (1 instructor, 5 women) after which instructor and organiser took off. They were friendly. Lucky to get them to take us back. I feel it was somewhat falsely advertised and too expensive for what it was.

I used to do a bit of salsa dancing. Unfortunately, this time was a solo trip, but the teachers taught me basic dancing well and it was fun. Another student came with us and we went to another bar to see and enjoy dancing together.

The instructor was vibrant and fun. He made me feel extremely comfortable with my 1st experience salsa dancing. The studio experience was amazing but the night out at the Tropicana Salsa Club definitely enhanced the experience to the next level. Being able to take the lesson and apply it in an actual salsa club took my confidence to the next level. This is a must do experience and I assure you that you won’t regret the experience.

First off the Salsa lesson was well thought and all of this fabulous cast of 4 professionals were very attentive to our needs and also catered to our skills level
After the lesson, we proceed to the Hotel Sofitel in Casco Viejo we’re the ambiance was incredible and relax with a magnificent view of the pacific. The view from the terrace was spectacular as well.

Nelson was amazing!!! We had our class on Friday night. Learned salsa and was able to practice later on that night at the Hilton live band. Amazing teacher, i will recommend to friends and come back for other lessons.

Fantastic! The instructors were awesome. We started with dance lessons and then moved to the salsa club. When at the club you have a place to sit, but the instructors did a wonderful job of keeping me up off my seat and practicing dancing! They helped build skills. Each time I mastered a move, they threw something in new in for me to learn. If I was struggling with a move, they practiced it more. They were invested in my learning. They did an excellent job of mixing up partners which allowed for learning the different styles partners may have. I loved it 1000% and I wished I had more time in my schedule because I think I would have taken this class every night if my trip. Dress comfortably. I brought dance shoes and switched to my tennis shoes within 5 minutes of the start of class and was so glad I did. Salsa from my experience is come-as-you-are so no matter if you wear yoga pants or a dress, you will fit in. Everyone else really enjoyed the class with smiles all around. Amazing. loved it. Loved it. Loved it. The instructors were highly trained. Most had dance for 10-20 years.

Nelson and Martha were absolutely amazing. We were stuck in traffic due to an event at the cathedral, but they waited for us and kept things moving. Their space is clean and the rooftop makes you feel like you’re dancing in the sky. We went to the RIU for their salsa night to show off our moves and show out is exactly what we did. Nelson and Martha are very professional and makes you feel comfortable everytime you move your feet. If we come back to Panama, we will be taking another class.🫶🏽

Absolutely wonderful night! The instructors were so kind and patient and very skilled at what they do. I was worried about feeling awkward and not being able to catch on since I have never danced before. They made us feel immediately at ease and by the end of the night we were having the time of our lives! This experience starts with a lesson in a hip local restaurant/bar, and then the team takes us to an amazing venue with live music to dance all night. I can't say enough good things. If you are worried about being out of your comfort zone, don't be. It felt more like hanging out with old friends who happen to be professional salsa dancers!
