We both loved this tour. The tour guide was super friendly and was very insightful about the islands we visited. She was extremely accommodating to each of us. The islands are beautiful and interesting, the ferry crossings were made very easy. Highlight was swimming in the oslo fjord

It was a pretty nice tour to become feeling of Norway. I liked the ships, walking on the islands, and ruines. Also we saw a wild fox.

Nice way to see a very different Oslo

Greg_V, Aug 2026
Visit 2 islands via public ferry. Tour is more a hiking tour than a boat tour so be aware. But very nice way of seeing 2 local islands where Norwegians relax. A wonderful visit showing a very different part of Oslo. And the 2 guides (I forget their names) were very friendly.

ROE_O, Aug 2026
Couldn’t get to the meeting point on time as we were told that it would take 15 minutes to get there from the ship, but it actually took 30 minutes.

Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you so much for booking a trip with us! We tried calling you repeatedly so that we could meet you at a location other than the original meeting point. If you had answered our call, or contacted us directly, we could have arranged for you to join us. Everyone who participated loved the trip and the experience!

Beautiful Houses and Nature

Rosanna_P, Aug 2026
A wonderful afternoon with our guide Lin who personalized the tour with her knowledge and experience. Worth making sure you come prepared for rain and that food options on Sunday in Oslo are limited.

Nice experience

Sue_T, Jul 2026
It was interesting. You ride the ferry, not a boat per se. Our guide was great. Lots of walking in uneven surfaces. Just an fyi in case this is a problem for someone. Overall, it was nice.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Tusen takk for at dere booket med oss og at det var en fin opplevelse!

Walking tour that goes to Islands

Cherie_L, Jul 2026
Guides are good. Friendly and knowledgeable. It should be advertised as a walking tour that goes to Islands. You spend more time walking than "Island Hopping".

Not Island hopping .

Judy_H, Jul 2026
We only went to two islands . Ferry schedule changed so we had to return to port & get a different ferry

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Hello, and thank you very much for booking a trip with us! On this trip we visit two islands in the Oslofjord. Unfortunately, the boat company changed its routes on the very day you joined the trip, and we were not prepared for that. Therefore, we had to change boats in the middle of the trip. It is regrettable, but both islands are equally beautiful!

Tour cancelled in an unprofessional manner

Uzo_N, Jul 2026
The tour operator canceled the tour on the morning of the tour with no explanation. Very unprofessional behavior.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you. I wrote: Good morning. I am really really sorry but I have to cancel your tour today. I will make sure you get a 100% refund. Sorry! The reason was a very private situation for the guide that we could not share with you. Your money was refunded 100%.

Misleading description

Maureen_B, Jun 2026
This tour description is quite a bit misleading. It is an extreme amount of walking and hiking. There was no "trikk" but a trek through town walking to the boat. This should be advertised as a island walking tour!!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you very much for your booking. This is the first time we have experienced someone calling this tour a huge amount of walking. We have thousands of guests every year. We stroll around two islands, looking at life and telling stories about the different islands. It is sad that you experienced it that way. It is possible to participate in the tour without walking around.

Great tour! I was the only person. I felt like I got to know Bergen very well including the history of Bergen. My guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Mostly good.

Carolyn, Jun 2026
The tour guides were great. I did read that we would be touring an island of cabins so the tour was represented well. I felt badly because I guess I didn’t realize we would be trapping right through the neighborhood on the second island. I felt badly being around the people who lived there who were just trying to live their lives. I felt like many in the group went off path and were not respectful of the fact that it was a reserve. I felt like this was the first time I participated in overtoirism.

Great guide(s)

Nancy_W, Jun 2026
Miles was a great guide. Liked having the other guides accompany us, too. It downpoured, but all was good. They did everything to make it a pleasant experience.

Island tour

Louise_L, Jun 2026
Great guide, excellent timings and the opportunity to have a swim in the fjord! Very friendly and helpful guide.

Very informative tour about the Oslo islands

Raymond_P, May 2026
My entire family really enjoyed this tour. The guide, Peter, was very informative and obviously knew a lot about Norway and the two islands we visited. Even though it was rainy (including some periods of hail), Peter soldiered on and adjusted our tour as needed. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone coming to Oslo wanting to see the islands for themselves.

Great way to get out of city and enjoy nature while learning about area

clterao, Apr 2026
Lin provided an excellent tour. We learned about the city, the islands and her personal experiences summering on one of the islands we visited. It is a lot of walking at a leisurely pace

It’s a hike around 2 small Islands… not what I thought it would be.

Chris_F, Sep 2025
This was not as it appeared to be at the time of booking unfortunately. I thought this was going to be a boat tour through some scenic fjords with minimal walking as we were traveling with our friends who have someone that has trouble walking, but nope. This was literally hop in a ferry, get off at an island, hike around the island, hop back in the ferry and go to 1 more island and repeat. The guide was nice and knowledgeable but the experience itself was a complete let down because it was such a different experience than what the description led you to believe it would be.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Thank you so much for your feedback, and it's sad to read that you thought the experience would be different than it actually is. We have thousands of guests on this tour every year, and the vast majority are very excited about the tour. Thank you for booking a tour with us!

fun day exploring the islands - made it much easier having a guide who knows the area, transportation system & was very friendly,

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you, very happy you liked it!

Great experience.

Our guide was great! She was very easy going and answered every question. She was also very knowledgeable.

Interesting tour of small Oslo islands

Vicki_G, Aug 2025
Perfect amount of time to see and hear interesting facts about small islands near Oslo. Petter was an excellent guide.

Good tour

Kathryn_S, Aug 2025
It was fun going to different islands with a very knowledgeable guide. Lyn was wonderful-she did a great job

Not worth the money.

Yvette_L, Jul 2025
This is no reflection on the guide, however, this tour is not worth the money. The time was poorly planned and truthfully could be done on your own. The island with the fort and swimming,in my opinion, is the only island of interest to children.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for your booking and for taking the time to respond to your experience of the trip. It is very sad to read that this was not a good experience for you. We have several thousand guests every year who experience all of our trips as great experiences. In this case, it may be because the expectations were different than what the trip actually entails. We hope to see you on one of our other trips at a later date!

Excellent day!

John_L, Jul 2025
Petr the guide was very knowledgable and good company for a wonderful few hours island hopping around Oslo. The weather was very kind to us and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience with a great guide.

Oslofjord

SakshiSharda_S, Jul 2025
Einar and his company did an excellent job accommodating the various tour groups. The Oslofjord is beautiful and this tour is a must to see the city with a different vantage point.

Nice relaxing outdoor tour

karenlevangevinger, Jun 2025
Was a nice, relaxing tour. Our guide Miles was great. He was willing to answer any questions and was very personable. It was NOT an historic sightseeing type trip, so if you are tired of churches, musty castles and the "typical" sightseeing tour, this one if for you. There were some historical sites on the one island, but it wasn't a lot and they were outdoors. We got to use the local ferry system and the tram, which was nice to see how they operate. Overall, very nice. Nice pace, too.

Cute islands, fun tour!

Katherine_I, Jun 2025
Great tour of Oslo’s islands! Tour guide Miles was so friendly and gave us great recommendations. Not a strenuous tour and the ferries were fun!

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!

This was a great day trip...

Derek_S, May 2025
This was a great day trip to see the power islands of Oslo. The schedule was full, but not rushed, so we truly got to experience each island at its fullest. It was very interesting to learn about the unique differences between the stops. And Miles was wonderful. He took the time to get to know you personally, and also made sure he answered all your questions.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you for joining!

Great tour

Marion_C, May 2025
Had a great time island hopping around the Oslofjord. The guide was lovely and very knowledgeable about the area.

Response from Host, May 2025

Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!

A hopping we will go …

Glenn_M, May 2025
Well, not quite what I expected, but it was a sunny beautiful day! I think that it would have made more sense to just buy a ferry ⛴️ pass myself and frolic in the woods for a much longer time frame. But maybe you’d feel better having a guided tour? Of the “3” solo add on excursions I’ve done, this one would have been voted off the island 🏝️.
