Hi Hi, What a fun activity. The Oslo Fjord is beautiful and I loved the boat. Be sure and have a hot chocolate from the bar and get a seat up front with a blanket! The ship reminded me of a pirate ship. You will thoroughly love this tour!

Really nice relaxing boat trip on the fjord. Felt it was a good amount of time on the water. I recommend the boat ride.

Highly recommend!

Great views of Oslo and surrounding areas but just be aware that they don’t use the sails. I suspect that the modern boats are more comfortable and move faster. I had picked this tour because I thought they would actually use the sails for part of the trip. Crew was very nice and boat was spotless clean.

Beautiful Way to Experience the Oslo Fjord!

Chrissie_M, Aug 2026
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Way to Experience the Oslo Fjord! We had a wonderful time on the 2-hour Oslo Fjord sightseeing cruise by sailing ship! It was such a relaxing and beautiful way to experience Oslo from the water and see a completely different side of the area. The audio guide played over the speakers throughout the cruise was excellent. It was very informative and explained the history of the fjord, the different islands and areas we passed, and what made each one significant. We saw more than 30 points of interest along the way, and having the commentary really added to the experience because we understood what we were looking at rather than simply sailing past it. The sailing ship itself made the experience even more enjoyable and gave the tour a special atmosphere. The two hours went by quickly, and there was always something interesting or beautiful to see. We really enjoyed this cruise and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Oslo. It’s a great combination of sightseeing, history, beautiful scenery, and a relaxing time on the water. A fantastic way to experience the Oslo Fjord! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wasn’t bad

Benjamin_S, Aug 2026
Our group had mixed reviews for this experience - the weather impacted it a lot, even though it was early August for our trip it was very windy and cold on the day we went. Not only our group but everyone onboard didn’t look very happy even though they did provide wool blankets for people to wrap up in. I wasn’t cold and did have a nice time riding around the Fjord, but the crew could definitely be more personable. The captain didn’t acknowledge anyone, only one of the crew members spoke very briefly and was available to serve drinks but the tour is prerecorded. The crew almost seemed annoyed to me, I understand the some is just cultural and personality differences but I definitely didn’t feel like they appreciated the business. I said I wouldn’t recommend it because there’s other boat tour options and I would probably try one of those instead if we did it again, but maybe give it a shot and you’ll have better weather and a better experience, I did like the boat and the views.

Very smooth ride. Staff was friendly. The audio was in English, so that was very helpful for an American.

Great way to see the city and surrounding area from the water

Mark_W, Jul 2026
There was more and helpful information provided on the recorded presentation. Crew was helpful in answering my questions. The captain was secluded away from everyone. The recorded presentation could have been a little louder. Although I didn’t ask for them to do that.

Hal_R, Jul 2026
One needs to understand how Norwegians define a Fjord - especially their largest Fjord. I did not understand that the water entrance to Oslo was once filled with ice, and when that melted, it created the giant fjord leading to Oslo. Since we had just entered Oslo on a cruise ship most of the tour duplicates that which we had just seen. The first 30 minutes in the bay around Oslo was very helpful!

Great way to see the fjord of oslo

Torrential Rain, but Warm Hearts!

SantosFamily88, Jul 2026
The sailing itself was good, but very windy and raining. Of note, on board there are snacks, beverages hot and cold, alcohol, souvenirs for sale mid-ship lower level, as well as bathrooms. The true star of this trip was the WONDERFUL crew on board and on land. Two of our passengers had limited mobility. One fell after exiting the gateway. Did I mention it was still raining?! The crew rushed to help, and ANGELS appeared from inside the building to assist! They offered us shelter, umbrellas, a dry place to wait, and arranged special transport back to our ship. They are the true picture of compassion and warm hearts! Choose this company for the BEST in Oslo!

Completely worth every penny. Gorgeous views and enough commentary to know what you are looking at without being overwhelmed with information. The drinks on board were reasonably priced as well.

A Must Do Tour!

SherylAnn_S, Jun 2026
This was such a lovely cruise! The rain and gloomy weather did not detract from the experience at all! I'm so happy I went. It's a good way to see the city of Oslo from the fjords.

Enjoyable cruise

Cruising Oslo in the cold

Jerry_H, May 2026
Pay close attention to the meeting place address. We had two cab drivers that took us to the wrong location. Make sure if you Uber or taxi to the location that you clearly tell the driver it is at Pier 3 across from City Hall. Because the cab drivers could not figure it out, we missed our 1:30 pm cruise. We called Viator who put us in touch with Adam at the ship dock. Adam was fantastic. He explained how to tell the cab driver to find him, our third try got us right there and Adam put us on the 3:30 cruise. We were the last to board. This sailing ship holds a lot of people but was still quite nice. The bar on board had lots of options. The cruise narrator was easy to understand and hear even in the wind. She pointed out lots of sites you won't see from land. We had a great time and would do it again. Especially with Adam there to assist with any problems.

Fantastic tour with a great host

Anna_C, Mar 2026
Everything was fantastic. More than expected and brilliant host, blankets for warmth. Very informative and fun with a humorous twist. Brilliant.
